5 of 5 Kung Fu rocks! Saturday, January 17, 2009
Steve G. from Trenton, New Jersey

If you were around in the early '70's to enjoy the airing of the original series, it was a ground-breaking show. A non-violent Western with a philosophical thread that wound its way through each episode. Caine is the Shao Lin priest everyman with courage to face each situation he encounters in the western United States with grace, humility, and respect for all life. Watching an episode of Kung Fu is like attending a philosophy class or going to church. Many flashbacks relate Caine's current experiences with those he faced, growing up in the Shao Lin monastery of China with Master Po. This series is packed with ways to reflect upon our own life condition and is timeless in its regard for the sacredness of the spirit. It is well worth the price to enjoy the best David Carradine offered as an actor and the many prominent guest stars that appeared in the three year life of the show.
