Back in 1961 when I was in the Marine Corp, I listened to music that I had recorded on a reel-to-reel tape recorder. I had purchased a set of KOSS headphones the base CP store and they are great. I still have and use them. I thought that maybe a new set of headphones would be in order so I purchased a set of R80 Professonial from Buy.com. They have sort of a plain-Jane look to them but when you put them on to use them they are fantastic. The sound reproduction from bass to treble is unequaled. I looked at a zillion places on line until I decided that Buy.com had the best deal. Their price was the best and from purchasing merchandise from them previously know that their service is 4A.

Yes, these headphones do sound very nice. Good lows, clear highs, everything you want. You probably won’t find a set for this money that sounds much better and feels this comfortable. But my knock is that the plastic frame is ridiculous. Both sides of the ear cups have already came apart, and I’ve only owned them for three months. Luckily I have a tube of superglue handy, so they still are great. Koss does have a lifetime warranty, but I don’t think I should have to take them back twice within a three month period. Apparently I’m not the only person having this problem. I would guess the TD85 might be better built since it uses a metal frame. Again this is a great set of headphones, but keep the glue handy. These headphones are great. Great for anything.. movies, games, music. Very good bass and comfy around the ear style. Had them for almost a year now and they are well worth the money. Koss is very good company as these are not the only headphones I have had from them. Was this review helpful?

Great sounding headphones for a great price. Use these on my Yamaha keyboard and they have a crisp,clean sound.The bass response could be a lil' beefier(it is only noticeable at higher volumes when listening to pre-recorded music) but overall a great value! Was this review helpful?

Incredible bass response.
I haven't had a decent pair of headphones in years. I do now. These haven't even made it home to a decent reciever yet. I'm just using them with a Sony boom box that's on my desk at work. They also cancel out alot of unwanted noise. Mostly obnoxious co-workers in my case. Buy.com had them in hand in a day. Great Job. Thanks!!! Was this review helpful?
