1 of 5 Worked Great for 40 days than Failed Monday, July 06, 2009
Rich from Maryland

When given as Mother's day gift the picture frame exceeded expectations and was warmly received. Mom could finally view all those digital pictures we take. However, it stopped working about 40 days later, and buy.com only warrantees for 30 days. Needles to say, Mom is Very disappointed with her new piece of Chinese landfill material. I will never purchase from buy.com again and am now wary of all kodak products. Picture washes out.

5 of 5 Great item, great price, fast delivery Saturday, May 16, 2009
A Customer from Scottsdale, Arizona
Could not have wanted more. Easy set up. Uses a memory card, flash drive or USB connection to load photos. Appears to be limited only by the number of photos you want to view. I looked around. This is a great item for a good price and arrived quickly. Great Mothers Day gift. Have always trusted BUY.com

5 of 5 Good value and image reproduction Monday, January 05, 2009

This is a nice digital frame with good quality. I like the fact that it has a touchscreen border which eliminates all the external buttons. It makes for a very clean look.

3 of 5 Pretty Good all things considered Thursday, January 01, 2009
Paul from Chelsea, MI
I thought I'd try a digital frame and everyone has agreed that Kodak is the best. But if this is the best then I may want better, then again I am VERY picky about photographs. Frame: The frame is good though I am hoping to replace the black plastic "frame" with something in wood so it looks a little nicer. The red color mat is definitely a nice touch while the silver one looks cheap. Image: First off the thing that nobody tells you is that these things are in a 16:9 screen (wide screen) format which is NOT the format of a standard picture. While this format works for tv you will find that it causes your pictures to appear not quite as they should. In order to fill the screen they crop out too much of the image and if you select full image size then it leaves way too much black around the photo. Neither is optimal. I would suggest that it would make sense to edit versions of your pictures into a 16:9 format (wide screen) in Photoshop Elements or iPhoto before you use them with this frame BUT be sure to keep your original images in normal format for printing. The format issue is a pain, I wish they would have done a standard 5x7 frame rather than this 7" diagonal, its just not compatible with most peoples pictures. Secondly, be sure that you load your pictures in the orientation that you will be using the frame. If you have it set horizontally and a portrait (vertically oriented) photo comes up the image is very small; so load you images in batches that match the orientation of the frame. As for how the pictures look? Its a mixed bag. I have photos from Kodak picture CDs that looked ok, pixelated, some from a 4 megapixel camera that were a little grainy and still others from an 8 megapixel camera that look very good so be mindful of your original images. I'd say that the images look good, not great, they work well for some visual flair but they are not going to really showcase your best work the way a professionally printed image or a slide show on your HDTV might. Its a great way to have images that you don't always look at on display, but for your showcase images, there are better alternatives. Interface: Clunky is how I'd best describe it, this is no iPod or Mac, its just a little cumbersome but you can still navigate it without the instructions fairly easily (after reading them once). I don't like it that the clock that it uses can only be set for military time (14:30 instead of 2:30pm). Finally, try as I might I can not get the slide transitions to be consistent. I choose "fade" and there are still times that it uses other transitions, I would rather it stayed with the one I chose. Summary: While all this may sound negative, I would say that for a first digital frame this is definitely one of the better ones. The price can't be beat ($69.99) just bear in mind its limitations. Its good, just not great, for that stick to slide shows on a monitor or hdtv and prints.

5 of 5 great present Wednesday, December 24, 2008
A Customer from Richland Center, WI
I bought this because I wanted something easy for my Mother to use. I loaded up a USB drive with pics, all she had to do was plug the frame in and turn it on. Worked great!!! Just wanted a bare bones frame, so she could see pictures, great buy, would definitely recommend it.

5 of 5 Great product. Saturday, December 20, 2008
A Customer from Albany, NY
I purchased this for my husband as a gift over the summer and then I purchased another one for my friend for X-mas because my husband loved it so much. He has it on his desk at work and every few months will bring the memory card home for me to add new pics of out 1 year old. The only thing that I don't like is that I have to put all horizontal pics on it b/c the vertical pics shrink up very small. It just looks better if you put all the same on it.
