Kodak Easyshare C875 Digital Camera Review
DigitalCameraReview.com
Published on: 9/16/2006 1:45 PM
The Kodak Easyshare C875 is currently the top of line in Kodak's C-series. Image quality was very good, ease of use was good and it has a good feature set. Where it falters is battery life and speed of operation. Its operation speed is by no means slow, but it's just not as fast as similarly priced competitors like the Canon A540 or A700. However, if you're looked for an entire digital imaging package, with camera and printer, the Kodak is a good option. Being able to dock the camera into an Easyshare Printer and print with a touch of a button is a very attractive proposition....read the full review

5 of 5 Love this camera!! Friday, November 14, 2008
Simon from E-town, KY.

Bought this camera 2 years ago when it first came out and I must just say that we've not had a single negative experience with this camera yet. It makes great decisions on its own in every environment, dark or bright. The picture count is in the four-thousand range (4000 +) and every picture is still as good as when the camera was new. Even with the choices available now, 2 years later, I would still buy a new one like this in a heartbeat!

5 of 5 Best Digital Camera for the $ Hands Down! Sunday, July 29, 2007
A Customer from Dallas, TX
I have had this camera for nearly 5 months. I can not believe the picture quality. I also love how it detects the objects to focus in on automatically, and how it automatically chooses which mode to use. I was recently in downtown chicago taking picture of the cityscape as well as pictures right across the street. It automatically knew! Just get a halfway decent set of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries (2500 mAh or better) and you will havve plenty of battery life.

5 of 5 I am in awe... Friday, March 30, 2007
Kyra from Pocatello, Idaho
I bought a camera not too long ago from overstock.com...they played it up to be a fantastic camera, so on and so forth. So I purchased it and it was the most horrible camera I have ever seen in my life...not to include it was only $50 cheaper than this one and a 5.1 megapixel. So after that whole ordeal, I again began looking for a camera and came across this beauty. They hyped it up like the other one was but it was a Kodak so I trusted it and bought it. I am so pleased. It takes fantastic pictures and the panaromic stitching is awesome. Plus the Perfect Touch Tech option is great...automatically brightens the picture to make it look wonderful. I am very very very very pleased.

5 of 5 Awesome camera Sunday, March 25, 2007
A Customer from shalimar, florida
The Kodak C875 is an awesome camera. I did hours of research on digital cameras before finally deciding on the Kodak C875. The sharpness of the photos, even when extended to the 5 X optical zoom, is great. There are plenty of scene options, however, most of the time i use the smart scene, and it has produced some great pictures.

5 of 5 Great Little Camera Wednesday, February 14, 2007
davewit from PA
I bought this camera to be shared among several people, so I wanted something easy to learn, easy to use, and able to produce a good picture. It is all of the above. I appreciate that it is a compact point and shoot camera that can be used by anyone but has the potential to be appreciated by more advanced users. The level of zoom is great and Kodak still produces some great products in my opinion. I've been really happy with this camera.

5 of 5 Excellent Digital Camera ... and Compatible with X Saturday, February 10, 2007
Mark from Mesa, Arizona
I own a Finepix 2650 and wanted to upgrade to something with more optical zoom and a larger viewing screen for my "older" eyes. I also like a camera with a nice grip so you only need one hand to point and click. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I wanted a camera that would be plug-and-play compatible with my Windows XP64 operating system (often times a real nightmare). BTW ... don't overlook this little matter of how you download your pictures, unless you plug your camera directly into a printer or you are one of those people that likes to pull out the SD card and use a memory reader (neither of which would be me). The Kodak C875 has all the features I desired and many more for what I thought to be an exceptional price. I haven't thought about doing a Kodak product since the days of "cheap instamatics" and frankly had that in mind. But it appears that they have a different mindset these days. I compare it very favorably to the Canon I ALMOST bought for more money (and that according to Canon was not compatible with XP64 anyway!!). Buy it ... you'll like it!

A Customer from Wilmington, NC
Great value for 8 mpx. Camera is easy to use and has a large 2.5 lcd sreen. I had to send the camera back because the flash was shorting out and making a loud sparking noise. The 2nd camera I got works well.

5 of 5 My new kodak C875 Wednesday, January 24, 2007
Amy from College Station, TX
I just got my Kodak about 3 weeks ago & I love it. It is very easy to use & takes great pictures. I love that there are so many different settings that you can choose from to take pictures. Uploading pictures onto the computer is also very easy & the options that are available on the software is great. I researched cameras for over a month at other websites & at stores & I found buy.com to have to best price.

A Customer from Clearwater, Fl
The kodak camera I got is a great camera, I have another one. After checking around I really did not save that much after shipping and tax. You really have to look around to see if you are getting a GOOD deal or not.

5 of 5 Great camera but...... Tuesday, December 26, 2006
Gordon Wysocki from Clearwater, FL
This is a very good carmera that takes great pictures. It is small and easy to operate. The only draw back is it eats up batteries. I took about 20 pictures and the batteries closed the camera after each picture.

5 of 5 Enjoying camera Thursday, December 14, 2006
Allison from Lake Elsinore, CA
We have only used our camera a few times. An award ceremony for the kids which was indoors and pictures were taken at a distance. I didn't have the camera figured out and the pictures were kinda dark. I later discovered that there are different scene settings. I was however able to enhance the photo on the camera. I also used for another event and was very pleased with the display on screen and the photos. I shopped several sites for price before purchasing and buy.com was the lowest. I would recommend this camera.

5 of 5 Fantastic Camera Monday, December 04, 2006
A Customer from Shell Knob, MO
I have had my C875 for about 3 weeks now and love it. The camera is very user friendly. The pictures are very sharp and the video is super, the picture and sound are great. My camera is with me at all times, so the size and weight of the camera is great to keep in my purse. We just had got snow and I used the SCN snow scene to take the pictures. I have never had such good snow pictures. I would recommend this camera highly. We also have an airplane and it took great pictures from the air.

5 of 5 Wow...180 degree photos Saturday, November 11, 2006
Ray from San Francisco, CA
Since no one mentions this special features, let me elaborate on this. One can put the camera into panoramic stitching mode and take three pictures, then the camera will stitch them together to form a 180 degree ultra wide angle photo!!! This is very neat. I happen to own the Kodak V705 as well, that also has this great feature (plus) wide angle len. I bought this C875 for my girlfriend, and she love its light weight, panoramic stitching mode, super fast response time, great picture quality, excellent movie mode and ease of use. This is rather inexpensive and the photo quality at 8.0 megapixel is bravo!! It is a must have.

5 of 5 Very happy with this camera Thursday, October 05, 2006
A Customer from Central, PA
With a new baby on the way, my husband and I wanted to upgrade from our Canon Powershot A100 and get something that worked quicker, easier, and would allow us to take a lot of pictures at great quality. So far, this camera has lived up to everything we were looking for. It is extremely easy to use and works very quickly. With our Canon set on "auto," there'd typically be up to a 15-second wait before it was "ready" to take a picture. With this Kodak, it's immediate. Our 1G memory card allows us to take over 400 pictures, and the picture quality is more than sufficient. We're very happy with our purchase!

5 of 5 great choice Sunday, October 01, 2006
A Customer from Lake Ariel, PA
I checked out quite a few cameras in this price range and style before deciding on this model. Most others offered less optical zoom than this camera unless moving to a larger and bulkier housing. My previous camera was a Kodak DC 3400 which had exceptional image quality and based on that I chose to purchase this newer more advanced model with confidence. The only thing I think this camera lacks for me is saving images in the raw uncompressed format. That would make this camera perfect in my opinion. Buy.com offered the lowest price I could find for this item.

5 of 5 We like it. Wednesday, September 27, 2006
Bill & Jane & family from Van Buren, IN
We had a bigger digital camera, with more zoom & many features, but less megapixals. We wanted a smaller camera, but some of the same features of the bigger one. We are very pleased with this camera. We can put it in our pocket or purse, and the zoom (5X optical) with 8 megapixals, which helps with the 5X digital zoom, making us very satisfied with the results. It has many features that, so far, (2 weeeks, a couple hundred pics) we like very much. We are very satisfied.

4 of 5 Great Camera Monday, September 25, 2006
A Customer from Marceline, MO
I bought this camera a few weeks ago. I started my search looking for a digital camera with a larger LCD screen, date stamp and a nice zoom. I ran across this Kodak and decided to give it a try. I am extremely pleased with the quality of photos and ease of use. The only complaint I have is that it is hard to see what I am taking a picture of when in the sun light, since this camera doesn't have a viewfinder. But overall this is a very nice camera, and the price isn't to bad either.

Jodee's Gift Shop

JR Publishers

5 of 5 Great Buy Wednesday, September 20, 2006
Theresa from Anacortes, WA
I received the camera last week, and I have only played with it, but so far it takes great pictures! The Panoramic stitch mode is really cool. I'm excited to use that. I really love the Kodak Easy Share program. It is really easy to use, and the less buttons make things easy, but it still has lots of options and settings. This is the second Kodak camera that I have bought, only because the other is about 3 years old now, and getting kinda slow compaired to all the new technology. I do recommend this camera. The camera is a nice small size, not to bulky. The 5X optical zoom and 8MP arn't bad to have either.
