5 of 5 LOVE THIS PRINTER!!! Friday, October 17, 2008 A Customer from Marion Junction, AL
I purchased my first Kodak AIO 5500 in Dec. of '07 and took it overseas with me. I paid almost $300. for it. Still a good value for the printer. I had read a lot of bad reviews about this printer but found none of them to be true. It prints better then described lab quality photos. I loved it so much I purchased this one for my home stateside. I also had no trouble with the setup or anything. The price here is unbelievable. It has the warranty and everything from kodak. I especially love that it is white because the new models are black. It sits next to my white imac. It works perfectly with my windows xp laptop too. LOVE IT!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Print Servers may be a problem Friday, September 26, 2008 Glenn from OKC, OK
All in one printers are a unique situation. They do not respond well to print servers and this one is no different. Kodak recommended a specific wireless printserver, but it was almost as much cost as the printer, and I already had one that did not work. Kodak blames the print server, the print server MFG blames Kodak. So you can not get support either way. I waited to write this review until I got an inexpensive USB A/B switchbox (Online...they are hard to find locally, and not cheap) and tested the working of the printer on the switchbox. While it is an extra thing to do (Manually switch between computers), it works very well on the switchbox for both computers. Nice printer, acceptable footprint, good quality, very inexpensive cartridges. The savings on cartridges alone will pay for this printer over and over. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 3 Cheers for Quality Prints @ Affordable Price Monday, August 25, 2008 MJB from Houston, Tx
I've purchased 2 of these printers based upon the ability to print High Quality Photo and Text prints at a very Low Price.
I was tried of parting with hard earned $ to buy High Price Ink Cartridges from HP.
A Great AIO printer!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Software will not load Saturday, August 23, 2008 gaines_bill from Loon Lake, WA
When I received the printer the Printhead did not work. There was no Manuel with the printer. After getting a new Printhead from Kodak. I installed it and everything worked fine. Except the software will not load on my computer. I'm running Windows XP. I even tried running the software from the Kodak site, But I still get the error message. So I'm trying to work around this problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Pleased with the Reconditioned Unit Wednesday, August 20, 2008 A Customer from Benson, NC
I was hesitant to buy a Reconditioned / Refurbished unit, but for the price, I thought I'd give it a try. So far everything looks and operates in New Condition. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Built in Quality Thursday, August 14, 2008 A Customer from Acton, Ca.
Easy to operate, a bit slow in some functions but great for home use.
Color quality of pictures printed is very good. The speed with which it prints the picture is fast.
The machine sometimes takes a minute to switch between the different funtions. "Slow down we move to fast, have to make the morning last."
Overall very happy with the purchase of the Kodak 5500. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great printer for the price Monday, August 11, 2008 Jon from Forest, VA
I was recommended this printer by a friend, and even though it is refurbished, it did not disappoint. It is a little on the big size, but it's ease of use and quality and speed of printing more than make up for it. And at $99.99, it's a must for any home office. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Kodak 5500 Monday, August 04, 2008 RJ from Lake Stevens, WA
The service from Buy was Great. The printer had a problem right out of the box. We contacted Kodak and they sent out another printer that day. We are very pleased with the prints and ease of use so far. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Excellent for office, poor for home. Thursday, July 31, 2008 C.Porter from Valencia, CA
I didn't realize how big the unit was and definitely did not fit where my old HP 5550 printer was on the computer desk. It would be great in an office environment where there was more sapce and did not clash with the decor. The color print quality was not as good as my HP, but the customer service was excellent in providing a new print head and ink. It still seems a little "washed out" compared to the HP. The software installation is terrible, and numerous conflicts with USB devices occured. I finally got it to work, but 250 MBytes for a printer? and another 250 MBytes for EasyShare software? These guys are as bad as Microsoft! Still for $115 delivered with all the Copy/FAX/Print/Photo capability it is hard to beat. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Missing information Thursday, July 31, 2008 A Customer from Vallejo, CA
They neglect to inform you that the fax is incompatible with digital phone lines. Can't find any info on entering name and phone number for faxing. Print setup seems slow. Was this review helpful?

Love this device that does it all: print, scan, copy. After I bought it, I read lots of bad reviews. Don't believe them. This printer is wonderful. Low ink usage AND it prints DUPLEX without having to flip the paper!!!! Was this review helpful?
