 Editor's Note
Imagine Rocco DiSpirito's THE RESTAURANT in sitcom form--but add a cup of smart humor and a heaping tablespoon of charm. This sadly short-lived series is based on the bestselling memoir of Anthony Bourdain. Bradley Cooper (WEDDING CRASHERS) plays Jack Bourdain, a brilliant chef who gives into his bad-boy tendencies a bit too often. His wild lifestyle has gotten him blacklisted in the industry, but he gets one more chance to share his culinary genius with the world at New York's Nolita restaurant. With only 48 hours before the customers arrive, Jack has a lot on his plate. KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL also stars Nicholas Brendon (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER), Jaime King (SIN CITY) and John Cho (HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE) as members of Jack's talented but undisciplined staff. Guest stars such as Cooper's fellow ALIAS alum Michael Vartan and veteran actor Frank Langella stop by to partake in the fun. This release features the single-camera sitcom from Darren Star (SEX AND THE CITY) in its 13-episode entirety.

| | Professional Reviews | DVD Verdict 8 of 10 "Bradley Cooper got Anthony Bourdain (here rechristened Jack) down right with his mix of wild-man bravado and nervousness (enough that he's ready to vomit after his first night on the job). As he's doing the voice-over at the opener, you forget that it's not the real Bourdain. And the fast-moving camera work (it's filmed, not taped, beautifully) captures the feel of a workplace at crunch time, to which the real Bourdain devoted a stream-of-consciousness chapter, ""A Day in the Life,"" in his book...The show has promise, but it stirred a little too much in...Given that they started with a real person, I hope the writers can put enough humanity into the farcical recipe to make it a must-watch; the first episode has enough morsels to pique my interest. Watch Bourdain cover up his terror as he explains his stomach upheaval to the new guy, for example, or the bittersweet ending to the first episode." - James A. Stewart
