5 of 5 More RAM is a Good Thing Wednesday, March 18, 2009 Alan from St. Louis, MO
I opened the PC (Dell Dimension 2400), pulled out the old single 512-meg DIMM, plugged in the two new 1-gig DIMMs, rebooted. The system noted a change in system RAM size and when acknowledged, booted up fine. System performance is noticeably better, so it was definitely worth the $$, time and effort.
Disclaimer: I'm an EE by trade, so popping the case and swapping out SDRAM DIMMs is a no-brainer for me. Take proper static precautions and all that jazz... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value Friday, March 06, 2009 A Customer from San Francisco, CA
I bought this for my aging Dell Dimension 3000 for about $45.
I upgraded the RAM from 512MB to 2GB. Performance increased a lot. Microsoft Word and Mozilla Firefox starts up faster. Installation was simple. Once i booted up, the computer asked me if i wanted to enter BIOS. I chose no and it started with no problem. I've used this for 3 months with no problems. Very inexpensive and easy. Now for the graphics card. Was this review helpful?

The product was exactly as advertised, cost seemed too good to be true, but it was true. Easy to install and worked without any problems. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for additional RAM. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great memory at a great price Saturday, February 07, 2009 JW from West Chester, PA
I needed some memory to upgrade an older computer that runs our home theater and this was available at a great price. Since it's Kingston, you know it's reliable and don't have to worry about the quality - it just performs. As you've probably noticed, the memory available for new systems is cheap and memory for older systems keeps going up in price since they are making less of it. Grab this while you can - it's a great deal. Was this review helpful?

Put into a Dell Dimension 3000 running Windows XP, replacing the 512MB that was there. Needless to say, it was a great improvement -- the boot time is MUCH faster. No installation problems (although I've done this many times before). Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great memory, great service, great price Monday, January 05, 2009 A Customer from Oxford, MS
Can't really complain. Installation was a cinch if you are familiar with computer hardware and it works as advertised. My computer was previously only 256MB. After adding a GB of RAM to my machine and another GB of RAM to my wife's machine which only had 256MB as well, we saw drastic improvements in speed! Shipping was super fast. Great memory and great service at a great price. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Rebate process sucks Saturday, December 20, 2008 A Customer from Milwaukee, WI
Kingston MIR process sucks. I submitted all the required materials including Buy.com online sales receipt printed. Yet, my claim was stated as INVALID stating the reason that they need an original Sales receipt. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Easy to set up Tuesday, December 09, 2008 spaceme from Santa Clara, CA
I have got this one during Thanks Giving sale. I have just fixed this and writing the review from the desktop where i have the new RAM installed :). I should say, it was quite easy to install the memory. No hiccups. I have upgraded from 2x256GB to 2x1GB, which boosted my desktop performance considerably.
The delivery was delayed initially but came on-time later. A bit of disappointment there, but the performance boost in my PC overweight the disappointment.
I would recommend this product to people who badly in need of a upgrade. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Was Afraid To Buy But Took Chance, NO REGRETS! Friday, October 10, 2008 Ras Pepper from Chicago, Illinois, Originally Kingston Jamaica! 1
I dont usually write reviews but I usually read them before i go out and buy, so i thought it was a little hypocritical not to, but since buy.com sent me the email to write one, i said what the heck, might as well... I was wondering if i would hav to go in BIOS to change some settings, but all i had to do was plug out my computer and drop the mems in the empty slot, retart and that was it... I usually couldnt run bittorrent while using msn messenger, because it takes up alot of mem, now, i can.. Usually couldnt run msn messenger while playin my flight sim, FSX, now i can... I turned up all the settings on my FSX and it worked to my surpise, i still need a new video card, which i'll soon buy, but this mem was worth the money, sad part was that they had mail in rebate offer 3 days after i bought it which sucked since i didnt want to cancel my order just for $20... I was thinkin of changing the date on my receipt, did it and was about to mail it in but my gf told me not to because i could be prosecuted for foolishness.. N e ways, i finsih wit ma long ass story... GREAT PRODUCT, my computer came with 4 slots with 2X512mb cards, and with the addditional 2GB's, my computer is 2x's faster... Just imagine.. Go on, buy up! Was this review helpful?
