5 of 5 Good experience for shopping! Monday, October 30, 2006 sokkuankam from Columbia, MO
I had received it after one week, it is in a very good condition as correspond with the description. I am happy and appreciate too when there was provided an opportunity to write a gift message which I bought this 2G Elite Pro Compact Flash Card as a small token of Thanksgiving gifts for my friend in the checkout process. But one thing requires taking note; the checkout process is quite tedious and takes a long time to proceed to the next stage. For those potential buyers who have limited time frame to do the checkout process will feel irritating and frustrating. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Plenty of Storage for High MP Cameras Wednesday, September 27, 2006 A Customer from Irving, Texas
I am using this card with a Canon Pro1 8 MP Camera. Even at the highest resolution settings this gives me the ability to store over 500 digital photos. Write speed has been good and image quality excellent. Considering the price this card was a great bargain allowing me the flexibility to carry a large number of photos on a single card. 5 of 5 Excellent Warranty. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 C. from California
After about about 3 1/2 years and 5,000 photos on my old Dane-Elec 256 MB compact flash, the error rate became more and more annoying. Back then, the chips were expensive and I had bought it online as being "very fast and reliable".
While I can obviously not say anything about the durability of my new 2 GB chip yet, Kingston offers an excellent life time warranty and free customer service line, which in hindsight is more important than I thought. As far as performance goes, my camera is an older 4 MP model, and I am pretty sure the speed limitation is now the camera. If you are considering a 1 GB chip to save 10 bucks, think of all these funny videos that you always have to delete right now to save space and get the 2 GB.
Overall, a safe no-brainer purchase considering price, performance and warranty. Was this review helpful?

I use these in my Canon Digital SLR and have no problems with RAW images. The writing speed is great and the price can't be beat for this capacity. Was this review helpful?

I prefer the Kingston Elite Pro over any compact flash card I've ever used. It's fast and reliable. Highly recommended by pro-photographer. Was this review helpful?

i'm a working photographer shooting virtually everything in RAW. i've found this card keeps up even when shooting very fast with the CANON 5D. That 12.8 megapixel body produces a LARGE file, yet the card has not slowed me down as some of my other, slower cards do. Nothing is more frustrating than having to stop in the middle of a shoot to let the data read/write process catch up. This card is a good performer at an economical price. Was this review helpful?

I'm a working photographer who has been using several of these 2GB cards during the past year. They have been VERY reliable and reasonably fast in my Canon EOS 1 series digital bodies. I trust them more than ANY other card right now. Had a bad experience with Lexar 80X cards and won't touch Lexar again. When I recently was photographing President Bush and First Lady, I made sure the Kingston 2GB cards were in the cameras.. I just have more confidenced in them. At the current prices, they are a bargain. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing value on a 2Gig flash card! Monday, March 27, 2006 A Customer from Beachwood, OH
I've been looking for a good deal on a flash card I could use to copy ISO images around when I can't easily burn CD's. And this is the deal. And it is supposed to be reasonably high performance, though I can't really vouch for that yet. My only 2 readers, an older USB 1.1 Lexar reader and a PCMCIA adapter card yield pretty low transfers - about 1-2 Megabytes per second. That doesn't sound too bad until you realize that means 1000-2000 seconds - or 18 - 36 Minutes to fill the card. But then it is 2 Gig's of storage!
I've been told I should see transfers around 4 Megabytes per second if I get a current USB 2.0 High Speed reader - so I'm working on that! Was this review helpful?

My CF failed after one year. Called Kingston and the card replaced in one week. Beside the hassle from losing some images on the card, the CF is very fast. Best value for the price.
Words of caution: don't erase your image individually, try to re-format the card once in a while. Was this review helpful?

Excellent CF card for the price. I bought two of these cards a few weeks ago and have been using them extensively in my Nikon D200 camera, they have performed flawlessly with very impressive performance for the price. Was this review helpful?

I am an amateur photographer, and I use one of these in a Canon 350D. I selected it based on price, size, and speed.
I have had zero issues with this card: It works like a champ, and I haven't come up against a situation yet where I've had to wait for the camera buffer to write to the card. I am very satisfied. This card is a great value.

5 of 5 Great Value Thursday, October 06, 2005 Larry from Glenside, PA
This memory card works great in my Garmin 2610 GPS. Holds all maps of the US and Canada with space to spare. No noticeable delay in the processing of map data or redraw on the LCD screen. Garmin told me the card was not tested but since it is a standard CompactFlash card, there is no problem. Price has even come down since I purchased mine. Was this review helpful?

The Kingston 2 GB card works great in my Canon S1 IS camera! Somehow I thought that the camera was limited to just 1 GB compact Flash but the Kingston web site said it would work. I bought the card so I could capture movies (22 minutes worth). I was concerned about the card speed but it works fine in movie mode. No delay in capturing stills either. It is also amusing to see my camera say it has room for 2000+ images. Was this review helpful?

I have had the 2GB card in my Canon 20D for several months now and have never had any speed or other problems with it. It may be slightly slower than my 80X Lexar card, but if so, I can't tell with any confidence. If you were to hand me my camera with one of the cards, I don't think that I could tell you what card I was shooting with Was this review helpful?

I own more than a dozen CF cards, and had a preference for the Sandisk 1GB Ultra III's - mainly due to the read/write speed. For outright working, these Kingston Elite Pro 2GB cards (bought a pair back in January 2005 while the first rebate was in effect) have not dissappointed me once. Yes it takes a fraction of a second for my cameras to write buffer contents to the card, but never has it actually slowed down my shooting! Face it, the buffer in most digi-SLR models now is more than sufficient for even my heavy shutter finger.
On a recent 6 day assignment in Mexico, I shot 2,365 RAW CR2 images with my Canon 20D, and several hundred grab shots with a G3. Each morning I started out filling the Kingston 2gig Elite pro cards first due to the convenience factor, then went to the Sandisk 1gig cards for the 20D. I used 256GB Kingstons in the G3. The only file corruptions I experienced were on my oldest Sandisk - All the Kingstons trudged along dutifully without a single hiccup. They have proven reliable and I'm ordering another pair to take advantage of this new rebate.
BTW - I reformat all my cards in the camera they are assigned to, after having transferred/verified all files to my Dell Latitude Notebook PC. I always power down the camera before opening the CF card compartment and/or changing a card. Was this review helpful?
