3.3 of 5 Not easy to use 11/29/2008
Alex from San Diego,CA
I always bought Kingston flash drives and never had problem before. This piece is not easy to plug in, it will start to work only after several attempts...

4.3 of 5 Kingston must use molasses for Flash RAM these day 11/14/2008
D Rowles from Snowlake, AZ
The plastic feels VERY cheap, like it could break, although it didn't when I dropped it on concrete. Has the right amount of Memory, and that's about all it's got going for it. It works, yes, but s-l-o-w-l-y. I've never owned a slower flash drive. But, the price can't be beat if you're willing to wait for file copies to the device. Overal, I'm happy with it.

5 of 5 Kingston Flash Drive is Great 11/4/2008
Old Texan from Hawkins, Texas
The 8GB model 110 is a good flash drive. Fast and no problems on my computer. I saved all my data and photos on it yesterday in a matter of minutes. Great buy at Buy.com

5 of 5 Works Well 10/29/2008
from Livingston, MT
I bought this 8 GB drive to replace two 2 GB drives I lost recently. (These things are almost too small.) It's working fine so far. The only problem is that it went on sale about a week after I purchased it and I could have saved a few bucks. Still a good deal though.

5 of 5 Gr8 Deal Kingston 10/27/2008
Dave from Watertown, WI
We had purchased 3 of these for our computer techs to transfer data on new computers, storage and speed work good. The techs also like the size and sliding USB, no cap to get lost. I would recommend Data Traveler.

5 of 5 Great price for a great product! 10/14/2008
Tony from Boston, MA
You can't go wrong with a Kingston flash drive. I have used the 2 GB and 4 GB ones and I have never had any issues. Transferring speed is decent for a 8 GB drive. Highly recommend this.

Good price. Nice 8 GB thumb drive. I like the fact that you don't need a cover for USB plug.

5 of 5 Reliable & easy to use 10/13/2008
Terry Olson from Provo UT
This is the second Kingston 8gb flash drive I have purchased. I filled up the first one and it has been flawless across operating systems [PC Windows XP and Vista; MAC OS 10]. It is simple to use and is large enough to handle the film clips I use in presentations. Kingston seems to have mastered the ease of use factor and I have total confidence in its reliability.

4.3 of 5 A Lot Of GB's For The $ 10/13/2008
willie in cincy from Cincinnati, Oh
Works well, easy to use. Seems a little cheap, because the button slide does not lock. You have to hold it in to insert into the usb port. All in all, works great and is pretty fast. I would buy another one.

Its what you expect from a USB drive. Works with all OS obviously. Only complaint is it doesnt come with a lanyard or anything which stinks because I am prone to loosing these.

5 of 5 Works Great 10/8/2008
Norm Dunkin from Peachtree City, GA
Worked fine right out of the box. It's made of plastic so it's light in my pocket. This flash drive is half the size of my previous 2 GB flash drive and about 1/5th the price. I have found this useful for transporting large raw digital photos and videos. I recommend this and have had good experience with the Kingston brand in the past.

4.3 of 5 Works great but takes time to load 10/7/2008
postguard64 from Davis, CA
It works great as a mobile storage device, and it carries most of the purported 8gb of data. The main problem, however, is that it requires some driver installation/download to operate, causing some delay the first time you plug it in, and sometimes even subsequent times as well.

5 of 5 Good Value - Works Flawlessly 10/7/2008
A customer from Webster, Wisconsin
I bought this Kingston 8GB flash drive as I find myself storing more data to use between different computers. It is instantly recognized by all my machines and it doesn't have any annoying software pre-installed on it. A good buy.

5 of 5 Exceeded Expectations 10/6/2008
from Leesburg, VA
Having such a low price, I thought it might feel a bit cheaper as well. I'm impressed with it and it's been working great. The retractable connector is great and locks in and out solidly. Free shipping was quick too, only 4-5 days.

5 of 5 Great Product 10/3/2008
Jeremy from San Jose, CA
I bought two of these flash drives because it seemed like a good deal, and the reviews were good overall. I am pleased with my decision and grateful to those who left insightful reviews. The flash drive is certainly constructed out of lightweight plastic, but it is by no means flimsy. It's solid and light. The opening for a lanyard is small, at about ±1/16" x ±5/16". This is an excellent product, and I will certainly look to Kingston for my future flash drive needs.

4.7 of 5 titanium 6/25/2008
from Jenks, OK
Wonderful design, love the sliding action, I will never loose the lid for this thumb drive and most likely never run out of room on it for many days. Not quite as speedy as some I have but it works in every computer I have tried it in and continues to keep my portable data safe.

5 of 5 Simply? Perfect! 6/21/2008
Chuck from Raleigh, NC
East to use. Retractable plug-in blade is a plus (and keeps you from having to worry about losing a cap). Plenty of memory (you can't go wrong with 8 GB!) I purchased two because of the price, stype, ease of use and memory (capacity).

5 of 5 Great quality for the price 6/18/2008
from Logan, UT
This pen drive is reasonably fast, small, and convenient. It compares in performance to my 2GB red Memorex ReadyBoost swivel pen drive. I love the slideout USB connector...it seems to lock into position and means no more lost caps! :)

5 of 5 not so good 6/15/2008
from FL
I bought this to put pictures on and to plug into a Panasonic TV, didn't even work at all. Plugged into another computer and allot of the pictures were corrupted from the transfer. I never had this happen before with anu USB device so I don't trust this make anymore.

5 of 5 Good buy 6/10/2008
Alex from Seattle
Used for a week now and it's great. Tons of storage in a very small, light weight unit. Easy to use, relatively fast, this drive is a good buy. I highly recommend it. If you're looking for an indestructible drive, such as a titanium hard shell, this isn't going to work for you. It's all plastic so it's not going to hold up to a lot of punishment, but it's great for what it is, a light, compact, high capacity, USB drive.

2.7 of 5 Flimsy casing, but decent value 6/9/2008
from Tyngsboro, Ma
Arrived with a cracked casing. Very thin plastic, so not durable. Slide works very hard. Keychain hole has a split which I would not trust to securely hold it onto a keychain. Price is good, though.

5 of 5 very good 6/9/2008
Mallory from Peoria, IL
Most items work very well with the tracking. But this one was odd and I really had no idea how to track where it was and when it was going to be here, however, when it did arrive, it was packaged by postal mail and in perfect condition. Very good buy!

4.3 of 5 Great bang for my buck 6/8/2008
from Chicago, IL
I use the usb drive on multiple types of systems (windows/linux, old hardware, new hardware, etc) and found it fast when it was found. I've noticed a bit of a delay in linux where it would take 1/2 minutes to load up. On a windows 2000 machine, there are times I had to unplug and replug in the device to have it show up. On Windows XP/Vista, it works much better there, no issues. Overall, the minor hassle makes up for the price I paid for it and it does what I need it to do.

5 of 5 love it 6/7/2008
mfiore from cranston, ri
there are a ton of usb flash drives out there. the differences are becoming blurred, but this Kingston data traveler 110 makes its mark. the reason i bought this over every other out there is the retractable usb head. no caps to loose! 8 gig is a good size for the price at the time. performance is as good or better than any i have used.

5 of 5 Awesome deal 6/7/2008
Movie Maker from Lachine, MI
I used the one time $10 off offer given by google to buy this product. I shopped around quite a bit and could not find anything so cheap as this one per GB (that's not counting the offer by google). I used it to create/store all the clips (audio and vidio) I used to create a 40 minute DVD. It did its job without a single hic-up. I'm thinking i may buy another one just for business storage.

4.7 of 5 Very good value... 6/4/2008
NEIL from West Lafayette, IN
Great value considering the price. Retractable head is very nice feature. Unit does seem somewhat flimsy compared to others but still does the job. Doesn't include lanyard and is hard to find one that works well due to the small connector.

4.7 of 5 Lots of space, mechanically just OK 5/28/2008
slabkoff from Stamford, CT
I bought this USB memory fob as I wanted a replacement for a 1 Gb fob I had. I wanted one I could not loose the cover for. This one had a retractable interface so I thought it would be great. The upside - enough room to store close to 2 DVDs - the down side, the sliding mechanism does not always stick in place causing it to colapse into the device as I plug it in to the USB port. It does show up fast, is USB 2.0 (so files fly) and has all the space advertised...

4.7 of 5 Kingston USB memory 5/20/2008
eganders from Ann Arbor, MI
I found this USB memory Data Traveler to be great to take around. The cost was very reasonable, it retracted to protect the connector, it was small and appeared to be as fast as any other USB 2.0 Flash Drive. IT did not come with a lanyard as others have, which was the only downside.

4.7 of 5 Great product, design need to be less bulkier 5/17/2008
A Customer from Houston, Texas
I like the design, a slider rather than a cap, but the trade off make the flash a bulkier, which make it hard for me to use on my laptop's 2 USB port, which the flash little bit overlapping the cordless mouse usb port space. I hope Kingston come up with a new design, similar like this concept and still do away the cap.

3.7 of 5 Don't Plan On Using Neighboring Ports 5/14/2008
from Homer Glen, IL
This huge plastic housing is way too big. It's a clever idea to make something where people think it is cool to be able to slide the USB dongle out of a case. This really does nothing though. It does not protect the inside terminals of the USB connector. I don't even see how it would protect the memory inside. All it does is makes the thing too bulky to fit other USB plugs in neighboring ports on your PC. Stick with the ones where you just put a cap on it. I already broke one ports solder connection trying to fit this thing.

4.7 of 5 Great Flash Drive 5/13/2008
Steve from Lake Worth, FL
Positives: I love the size (8GB) for the price. The retractable connection eliminates the chance of loosing a cap. Performance is great. Negative: It's a bit thick so I have to push a little too hard to get the drive to fit into the back of my machines. But plugging into the front is not a problem. No extension cable comes with the drive but if you have one you'll want (may need) to use it for the back of your machine. Otherwise this drive is just super!
