I did read one review where reformatting the drive first may be helpful, so I did so. It took almost 4 hours to load about 40Gb of music, pictures and general info onto the drive. I use a lot of USB drives in my job and this one is fine. It is not the fastest, but its working fine. Was this review helpful?

I've had this for a month. I keep in in my pocket at all times. I have broken two phones and several metal keychains just carrying them in my pocket. There is not a scratch on the drive and performance is still good. My heart skipped a beat over the weekend, when my finace informed me that I left it in my pocket and it went through the wash. She found it before it went through the dryer. I sprayed it with compressed air and gave it a day to dry out before I tried it. Still works like a champ!
As another reviewer mentioned, it is a little bulky. It's about the size of a lighter, so if your USB port is recessed, it might not fit. Other than that, I love this thing. I use Robocopy to back up drives. I have backed up two old laptops, one had 18GB of data, the other 35GB. The 35GB one took about two hours. (The 18 was USB1.1, so I won't tell you how long that took) Was this review helpful?

Great capacity and price. Comes formatted for FAT32 which doesn't cut it. Must go with NTFS but cannot format from Explorer or My Computer. Need to go into Disk Management and format for NTFS there. Worked like a champ. Got answer myself before Kingston tech support responded, but their solution was similar and accurate. Once NTFS, did a 30GB backup to the stick effortlessly...just a little slow. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Great Price. But a little big. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 Phil from Elkhart, IN
Tons of capacity. Decent speed. A little too bulky to fit in some USB ports. Was this review helpful?

Plenty big for all my files. Great read/write speeds. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing portable storage! Tuesday, January 06, 2009 John from Los Angeles, Ca.
The capacity is great and the read/write speed is good considering it's solid state memory. I use it to carry my Documents file that I copy from my main pc and take it to work. This is so much easier since the office has a Windows computer and I just plug this into the USB with out the need to carry around a laptop. Great price, considering other products that do the same thing. For the price, I recommend it to anyone who needs to carry electronic doc's, spread sheets, power point, data base and recreational files. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Storage Sunday, January 04, 2009 brian from Curlyhead, USA
This is the kind of drive I can use to back up everything of importance, now I can shelve my old bus-link drives. This drive works great and plenty fast enough for what I will use it for. Was this review helpful?

I bought this back about a month ago (Nov 2008), and I'm pleased so far. You get about 60GB usable space with it although it says 64GB. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Flash Drive Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Keith from Suffolk, VA
I am totally amazed about the performance for this flash drive.
The storage to price ratio is very compelling. I can now transfer all of my music and photos on one device at one time. If you do not use the cloud then this is an excellent alternative.

5 of 5 Huge storage for a great price Saturday, December 20, 2008 Bill Harms from St. Louis, MO
This flash drive has huge storage for a price that I paid for an 8GB one a year ago. I can carry all my personal and work related files on it, as well as my entire music collection. I converted it to NTFS and created a large encrypted file that all of my data is in so that it is secure. I love this flash drive. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Massive Storage Sunday, December 07, 2008 Dan from Flower Mound, TX
This is a great flash drive! Finally I have enough storage to ghost the whole image of my laptop and still have space left over. Also great for holding huge HD movies for transfer between systems. I've gotten write rates up to 1 GB per 2 minutes which isn't too bad for a flash drive. A little spendy but if you need large amounts of storage on a single, portable device you can't beat it. This drive spontaneously dismounts when transferring large amounts of data. The transfer fails, and the drive letter disappears. I tried this on two computers with the same result. Of the three reviews of this product at newegg.com, two reviewers report this same behavior. I have been using an ATV 32GB flash drive for around one year without ever having this occur. You might never notice this issue of you transfer only small amounts of data at a time, but for large transfers, this drive is unreliable. Was this review helpful?
