I have a Canon A 620. I have yet to use the SDHC. I have had no success in finding out if my camera will support the full 4Gb capacity. I am tempted to try it and see but it would be nice to know for sure.
Based on previous experience with Kingston I give the product 5 with a holdout on satisfaction. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 4 GB SDHC (class 4) Friday, April 18, 2008 Jim Trout from Jackson, MI
Am not really certain what "HC Class 4" means, but the card worked well in two Nikon Cameras ... only problem was that my older card reader wouldn't read it and had to buy a new card reader. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great HC card, not-so-great box. Sunday, March 30, 2008 A Customer from Providence RI
It's Kingston, it's got a Lifetime Warranty -- all well and good. But you know, this is an opportunity for me to complain, so I will. The protective plastic card carrier box that comes with this card is one of the most difficult to open: it's kind of a squeeze catch that just isn't as easy (or logical) as the flip-open catches that Kingston has used on some of their other boxes. 5 of 5 Great price! Great buy! Saturday, March 15, 2008 Kristen from Encinitas, CA
I'm not technical so I won't give you a lot of technical jargon. I bought this card for a digital photo frame and it ended up in our Wii. I'd say it was pretty versatile. It's a memory card. It works as advertised and it's incredibly well priced. I have had no problems with it at all. What more can I say? I certainly recommend it along with the Kinstson USB 4GB Hi-Speed Data Traveler Flash Drive. Another well priced, quite versatile memory unit. I'm sold on Buy.com Was this review helpful?

This card is SDHC, not SD. Not all devices are compatible with SDHC (but all devices that use SDHC are compatible with SD.) (There are also SD cards that hold more than 2GB that are neither true SD 2.0 nor SDHC and may likely have compatibility problems.) My new camera is SDHC compatible but my mp3 player is not. So be careful and make sure you know the difference and know what your devices support. To complain that the SDHC card does not work in a particular device may be like complaining that diesel doesn't work in my gas car. The nozzle fits in and the diesel pumps out but my car would not like it. I could hardly complain that the problem is with the diesel. Know before you go!

I already have one of these, but at the Buy.com sale price I'm going to order more. Works great, and seems pretty fast. I use one in my Nokia N800. Be aware that the ORIGINAL SD card standard only supported 2 gigs MAXIMUM. They made a new standard called SDHC (for SD "High Capacity") to allow for more memory on one card. This is a SDHC card, which is how it can be 4 Gigs.
Older products will not know how to talk to the card or may only see part of the memory. If your memory card reader can't see it, time to splurge ($15) for a new card reader that supports the newer SDHC format! The newer readers will be able to read the old SD cards as well.
Also be sure your device (i.e. Camera or music player) supports the SDHC format or you may face the same issue. Was this review helpful?
5 of 6 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 SDHC not SD *check your facts Monday, February 25, 2008 Paul Fedorys from Blue Point, NY
If you read Clemson's review above, the problem is that he does not realize that this is an SDHC Card, which is an upgrade from a standard SD card. HC stands for High Capacity, over 2 gigs. It has a faster read/write speed than standard SD cards so it is often not compatible with older SD card readers. Get the facts straight before posting a review that make a product look bad.
Look for devices that support SDHC. More likely than not, if your computer/reader is over a year old, it does not support this format.

I bought two of these things thinking what may go wrong with a memory card...well guess what some cards just refuse to be detected and this is just one of them...It works well with the camera i bought it for, but if you plug it into the card reader on computer it is just not detected...i tried it on a couple of different computers but all in vain....So sort you priorities before buying..You can still plug a cable to camera and get all your pictures but if you put it in the reader slot..just wont work....
