One complaint: for whatever reason this memory is seen as 533, even though it's supposed to support up to 667. I may have done something wrong in BIOS, but different kind of memory in the same kind of motherboard showed as 667. Was this review helpful?

There is no problem with the product it works fine.
The only problem is how the mail - in - rebate is handled.
I had bought this product from buy.com only for mail in rebate. But way they handle the mail in rebate is really pathetic. i had submitted my original packing slip, origanal UPC code to kingston. THey wont accept that and replied me back saying that they dont accept packing slip as proof of purchase...

I received my Kingston 2GB RAM chips (2 of them), cracked open my PC case (original RAM was 3 GB) and replaced (2) 512MB chips with the new 2 GB RAM chips. With the (2) 1 GB chips originally and the added Kingston RAM, wow, my machine was really smoking! What a difference. The price of the Kingston RAM was reasonable and very easy to install. When your computer gets older and your software isn't, more memory is the cure. And boy is is cheap these days. The best performance boost for the buck. This product worked great. I bought these memory sticks for a friends Dell Dimension E521 dual Core system that had 1 gig in it and was bogging down in Vista. Well after installing two of these sticks the computer boots up faster no more hang ups and one would think it's on steroids. This was used for an old dell dimension that had 256mb of memory before. This made it alot faster and worked effortlessly. Couldn't be happier. This is a great priced ram. Only thing is if you get the one with 2, you can have dual ddr2 ability which is a little faster. Was this review helpful?

It works fine. It did not create any problems when installing it on a Pavilion 3200n.
The first unit was defective and I had to return it for an exchange. The entire process from the time of placing the first order to getting a replacement took 45 days. For some of us, it may not be worth buying such items online given the marginal savigns and the risk of it not working as expected (the first or even the second time). Was this review helpful?
