5 of 5 Works fine in MacBook Tuesday, June 03, 2008 A Customer from Fairfield, CT
Used 2 of these to upgrade my MacBook from 1G to 4G. Was pretty straightforward. Found a video on YouTube showing how to do it. Had a brief scare when MacBook wouldn't start up (kept giving three beeps when I tried to power it up, even though everything worked fine initially after adding the memory). Popped the memory cards out and reinserted them and everything has been working fine since. BTW, Apple wanted $400 for the same upgrade! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Kingston 2 gig notebook ram Monday, May 26, 2008 A Customer from Saint Amant, LA
Great deal from a reputable company. Extremely satisfied with this deal. If you are running 1 gig or less you will notice a very nice increase of performance from your lapper. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 remember ....Memory Saturday, January 12, 2008 Mikie from Astoria New York
This Value RAM is just that---It works flawlessly--there are only 2 chip makers for RAM regardless of brand--It either works or doesn't. It also has a lifetime guarantee--How could any other ..more expensive RAM be superior--It has ALL you could want. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works good Friday, January 11, 2008 A Customer from NC
It works good and is a great price. I was not crazy about the way it was packaged. There was no paper or filler to keep the memory from sliding around in the package. I would think that a blow do to the memory moving around in the box could damage it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Easy as 1,2,3 Thursday, January 10, 2008 A Customer from Cali
The 2GB shows in my bios as soon as I installed it. But I wonder why the 512MB memory that's already installed in another slot wouldn't show in the bios. Anyway, I'm satisfied to the speed that it gives to my laptop. Was this review helpful?

Cant be a better deal for a macbook owner. I upgraded my black macbook(2.2 GHz) 1 GB RAM (default) to 4 GB(2 X 2) with this RAM and it runs blazingly fast. Its cheap and it works.
Looks like this stuff is in big demand, the price is going up day by day. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Value Monday, January 07, 2008 Bruce from Indiana
I have purchased Kingston memory before, and never have a problem with them. This time I purchased 2 of Kingston's
2GB SODIMM memory for my laptop running Vista, for a total of 4GB.
I had 2GB in the laptop previously, and it ran pretty good for most basic stuff and medium draw games. But I want to do some video editing with this laptop, so I wanted the extra horsepower. I read alot of forum's stating that any memory much over 3GB won't be reckonized or used by a 32bit operating system like my version of Vista.. And indeed, Vista only shows 3.07 GB of memory onboard. My laptop has a video card that has 256MB of dedicated graphics memory, with another 128MB of shared memory when needed. I believe that Vista, at boot, allocates a portion of my physical system memory for this graphics card. With 4GB now installed, and with some of that being reserved at boot for graphics, having 4GB of memory gives me memory for the graphics card, plus other hardware that requests memory to be reserved for it, and still leaves me over 3GB to run the Operating system and programs. I do notice quite a difference between 2GB of memory that I used to have, and the 4GB of memory that I have now. Sometimes program windows will now fly open, and close, faster than I can see them. And I can now edit my home video's much faster and easier than before. My games also run alot smoother and for much longer than before this memory upgrade. It was a very worthwhile upgrade.
And it is Kingston memory. World renowned for it's durability and reliability, compatibility, and speed. And one can rarely ever beat Buy.com for value, price, service, and fast, free shipping.
If you catch this much memory on sale like I did at $44.95 each, don't hesitate ! You will notice a big difference !
You may find other brands a little bit cheaper, but one gets what one pays for regarding memory.
I trust and rely on Kingston for all 5 of my computers.
( I see that is is selling today for about $70.00 each, still a great deal considering this memory retails for $199.00 for each
stick ! )
$140.00 for 4GB of memory = well worth it.
$398.00 for the same 4GB = still worth it, yet much more costly, obviously, but why pay so much ? With Buy.com, you'll never have to pay $398.00 full retail ! :)
Thank You Buy.com
I don't know how you do it, but I really appreciate that you
can and do ! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Laptop memory Monday, January 07, 2008 Ron Shaver from Springfield, VA
I was very impressed with the Kingston memory module I ordered from you. It arrived at a much earlier date than I was told, was easy to install and performs great. I will be ordering from Buy.com in the future. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Vista memory allocation is unusual Monday, January 07, 2008 Paul from North Fort Myers, FL
I installed 2 2 gb memory sticks. The Vista system indicates only 2.99 GB ram. I emailed Kensington, wondering whether all 4 gb worked. They emailed me a link to test the memory. All 4 gb are functional - it is just the way Vista handles the memory - something about reassigning part of the memory to system tasks or something like that. The move from 2 gb to 4 gb did not make much difference in performance on my hp laptop. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great Tuesday, January 01, 2008 TJ from IN
This item was purchased for my new dell. Dell wanted $159 to up grade to 2GB. Why pay them when you can do it yourself? Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Perfect for my new MacBook Tuesday, December 25, 2007 Tofa from Stamford, CT
Man,
This is a steal! I purchased 2 of these. The package arrived whitin 2 days (thnx buy.com team!). I spent 10 minutes to install them to my new MacBook and now it is runnung w/ 4GB of ram w/o any sign of a problem! If I boot up MS XP Pro it sees 3GB, but it is only because the guys at MicroSoft were on a sick-day at school when they tried to teach "how to utilize the hardware when you're writing OS codes" in the class :).
Booting up MacOS sees the full 4GB installed, and it works perfectly!
Great find my friend if you are looking for a quality RAM 4 your Laptop. And actually this is even a better BARGAIN.
So I can reccommend this DEAL. Was this review helpful?
