I bought this for a friend at work who isn't computer savvy. It was perfect for her- now she can transfer files between work and home. She also carries a few MP3's and personal photos on it. With nearly 2GB she has plenty of room, the transfer rate is fast and Kingston has a great reputation. For the price and quality you can't go wrong unless you need a bigger drive. I started a small custom printing business - the USB drives allow me to work at various locations, and the memory is large enough to house all the graphic files I create. This is my 2nd round of purchases and I will use the first ones I bought to hold my older files. This is great value for money and works easier with any USB port. Unline Sandisk it don't need any additional drivers to be installed on your computer and it's slim so that you can have 2 USB devices connected to your 2 USB ports at the same time (my laptop got 2 USB mounted vertically next to eachother and so space is smaller). For some odd reason this flash drive will not work in my USB hub, and it will not read or write properly when plugged in. (Hub Produced by Radio Shack) Its only a mild inconvenience for me, as I have other ports available to plug it into. However, if you are dependent on plugging it into a USB hub I might avoid buying it. For this reason I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars. Otherwise it works great and is a wonderful value for the price. For Christmas I was given a 2GB memory stick (not this model). When inserted in a Windows computer it auto-ran some software, which added a completely unnecessary monitor. Well, it worked on my laptop, but my desktop computer uses Linux, a virtual computer software program, and Windows. The software included in the memory stick was not able to work on the desktop computer. I saw this model advertised for a very low price, and decided to buy it. No extra software, it works on all computers I have tried it on, and it was quite inexpensive. What more could one want? Was this review helpful?
