Pit it in an old Presario SR1610NX which was crawling. Tried to add it to the exisiting 256mb, but it wasn't being recognized. Pulled out the old one, put this in the same slot and WOW. It now runs as fast as my new 3gb P.C.'s with Vista. I would have NEVER thought this 1gb stick could make this old P.C. run as fast as lightning. I've added memory to many P.C's and Laptops, but none ever responded like this. Kingston makes a great product. Could not be more thrilled with the result! Was this review helpful?

I don't know what else to say - I pop it in, both Windows and Ubuntu recognize it, and boom, +1GB RAM.
My motherboard is an Abit AS8. My processor is an Intel Pentium IV, with Hyper-Threading technology so it pretends like it's two CPUs at once. DDR1 is the only choice for my old old board :-) Was this review helpful?
