5 of 5 Great Value in a Flash Drive Sunday, March 16, 2008
A Customer from Slingerlands NY
Works as advertised. Very easy to use. Very handy to transport files from one PC to another. Highly recommended, especially at this great price.

3 of 5 Painfully slow Thursday, March 06, 2008
A Customer from Franklin, IN
I can't help wondering if the rest of the reviewers have used other flash drives. This drive is painfully slow. At it's best, it still take more than twice as long to write to than another, much older, flash drive I use (Sandisk 1GB Cruzer Micro - SDCZ4). For the price it's acceptable, but if you've used higher-quality drives, this one's gonna frustrate you. Apart from the speed it's a typical flash drive, no other complaints.

4 of 5 Overall a good purchase. Sunday, March 02, 2008
A Customer from Mountain View,CA
The original was defective. It wouldn't format and I couldn't copy files onto it. I called Kingston customer service and they e-mailed me a return authorization for FedEx. The return was handled promptly and the replacement works fine. I give the overall rating a 4 only because of the annoyance of replacing a defective product. Kingston's customer service was first rate and I would gladly buy another of their products.

5 of 5 Kingston drives rock Friday, February 22, 2008
A Customer from New Windsor, NY
I'm an IT specialist and use thumb drives all the time...the Kingstons are excellent, fast, durable, straight forward drives. No wasted space with security software or partitioned junk, just a solid storage drive. I have several Kingston thumb drives of different sizes for different purposes, have been using them for almost 2 years...never an error, always fast, always reliable. Buy.com...always a great price. Definite recommend.

2 of 5 Good gadget, cheap shell Friday, February 22, 2008
kc from Fort Worth, Tx
This thing is wonderful for data. The disappointment is a name brand like Kingston chose to make the keychain loop out of plastic. It broke the first time I put my keys in my pocket. Otherwise I haven't had any problems or issues with it.

5 of 5 Happy with Flash Memory Wednesday, February 20, 2008
A Customer from Anthem, AZ
Ordered two of these flash drives. Arrived very quickly. Just about filled them up so my next order will be with greater storage. But for the quick run to the library or other location that you need your files, these are great.

5 of 5 Gets the Job done Monday, February 18, 2008
Cricket from Wall , NJ
I have been using this Flash Drive to store auto cad drawings. The Flash Drive has performed perfectly thus far after numerous file saves and file recalls. I purchased 2 . This is a good $ value product. Keep an eye out for the prices on 2G drives though, it may be more feasible to purchase a 2G so all your portable storage is in one place.

5 of 5 Kingston Data Traveler 1 gb USB Monday, February 18, 2008

This was a great buy. The only thing that could have been better is if they had a light that would activate if drive is in use.

5 of 5 Good Value Monday, February 18, 2008
Dennis from Seminole, Texas
It dos what it's supposed to do, but the cap does come off too easily. If you're considering the Data Traveler that slides out and has no cap, I bought that one, too. Here's the difference: The "cap" kind is better suited for a key ring. The "slide-out" kind doesn't have a cap to lose, but it's not so great on a key ring. In fact, the only way to put it on a key ring is to use this little nylon string that has a tiny ring attached to it that can slide onto the key ring. It works, but I just don't know how long the string will last, or if it will get tangled with other pocket stuff. So, if "keychainability" is important, I'd go for the older "cap" style. Otherwise, I see no difference in performance.

5 of 5 Great Brand Monday, February 18, 2008
Sarah J. from New York
I bought a Kingston data stick about four years ago and have always been impressed with its capabilities and ease of use. I upgraded to the 1 and 4 GB sticks for use with pics and music, but will contiue to use it for data files at work. Great product and an excellent price on Buy.com!

5 of 5 Good Product - Great Value Sunday, February 17, 2008
CPOAPrez@sbcglobal.net from Chico, CA
These small flash drive units work perfect. I'm not sure how anyone survives without a few of these hanging around. Plug them into a USB port, save your data and you are on your way. My only disappointment came the day following my order. Buy.com lowered the price a couple of dollars. That would have made the deal for me even sweeter.

4 of 5 Memorex TravelDrive is better product. Saturday, February 16, 2008
A Customer from Sussex, WI
I like the the Memorex TravelDrive better. The Blue "IN USE" light is a true added value and a useful tool. Connection Protection Cap is harder to remove than the Memorex TravelDrive. No problem with product though. Prompt shipment.

2 of 5 Save Your Money Sunday, February 10, 2008
Computer Guy - Again from Rolling Hills Estates, CA
The leash is a thread 2" long, there is no activity light, and it "does not have the required performance to support ReadyBoost".

4 of 5 Nice flash drive for the $ -- with a pathethic lea Tuesday, February 05, 2008
Computer Guy from Rolling Hills Estates, CA
It's a nice flash drive for the money, but it is easy to loose the cap since it is not attached or loose the entire drive since the leash is a "thread" two inches long.

3 of 5 Basic Flash drive works fine Tuesday, January 29, 2008
A Customer from Orefield, PA
This unit works fine and is a good value from Buy.com. One problem which I am disappointed in is the fact that it is not compatible with Ready Boost in Vista! This was my purpose for buying. Well I guess you never can have enough storage.

5 of 5 Kingston 1GB Flash Drive - Excellent Value! Saturday, January 19, 2008
Linda from West Virginia
I purchased two of these flash drives for use in storing non-profit QuickBooks backups. For the price - it certainly can't be beat and has been reliable. Easy to use too - just place in your USB port and it is easily recognized by Window's. The only thing that I wish it had - was a longer strap. It came with a very small thin strap that I would be afraid to use on my key ring. Not a problem though as you can place it on a more stable metal ring and place it on a key ring if you want to carry it with you. I highly recommed this flash drive for value, ease of use and am very satisfied.

5 of 5 1GB Kingston Flash drive -- Very satisfied Sunday, January 06, 2008
Joe M from NJ
BUY.COM provided a competitive price. One nice feature is that you can insert the cap on the opposite end while using the drive. This avoids loosing the cap. I am very satisfied with this product. I tried this drive in several computers running XP without any problems.

1 of 5 Worked great for the first 2 months, then it's dea Monday, December 31, 2007
A Customer from Williamsburg, VA
These manufacturers would like us to believe that these flash memory products are extremely reliable because they don't have moving parts. I guess maybe they sold them in pairs so that you might have one working while the other one goes back for warranty replacement. Don't use it without offloading it daily!

I've used one of these for years and was fed up with pals and co-workers borrowing mine. I bought 10 and gave them out as Christmas gifts. They were very greatly appreciated by the Windows and Mac users alike. Great Product.
