I bought this to replace a SuperTalent that failed (that worked out well, SuperTalent replaced) but in the meanwhile I needed something in between. Its solidly made and it is fast! Small issue, but no biggie is the fact that the cover sometimes slides over when you don't want it to when plugging in device to usb port.

First,I bought a 4gb, and because I liked it so much I bought two more, an 8 and a 16Gb G-2 drive. Everything is fine except the rated capacity doesn't tell the whole story. First,they come formatted in FAT32 which means, for example, in the 16GB drive you can load only three 4GB files as well as some smaller ones because the drive is divided into Four 4GB sub folders not one whole 16GB folder. If you plan on loading large files such as movies, you must reformat the drive because you are limited to files less than 4gbs. I tried to load the movie Avatar,(6.40GB) and got a "Disc is full,no can do" message. After reformatting to NTFS I have Avatar and another movie(5.19Gb) loaded with room to spare...maybe a B&W fifties movie will fit. It's great to be able to plug the drive into my Sammy HDTV, PS3 or USB equipped BDDVD player to watch movies. It's great for time shifting movies, especially when you are renting a movie or using a streaming service.
The Backup suite is pretty good if a bit slow, but better than most others.
My negatives: There is a glitch in the "Apps" folder in that when I tried to "sign in" or sign up" for the games Apps, it will freeze my PC and I have to log off to free it up, so the Games apps are useless to me so I formatted them out. Should you want them reinstalled later, the apps can be DLed from Kingston or loaded onto an older retired smaller drive. I loaded the apps I want on a six year old Kingston (64 Mbits!!!) drive that still works after all these years... Still, the glitch is a disappointment from such an otherwise great product. Also,It can be a little clumsy to "open" to see files..It takes two or more clicks to open to your files and the urDrive is sloooo to load up and you may want to bypass it after loading those things you want straight to the drive. Other than that, a fine product and I recommend them highly.

I got it on sale but even at the current price it's a good deal. Getting 16 GB that you can keep in your pocket and plug into any current computer is just fine with me. I can get my videos, pics, and mp3's all on this one stick. What more can you ask except for security software which it doesn't have. All in all, a good buy.

I'm very satisfied with this drive. The average write performance is excellent 11 MBps. Nearly as good as my favorite datatraveler 110 but unlike the 110 you can put a small keyring through this one. There's a small loop on top that you use to attach a keyring or lanyard (somewhat visible in the picture above). With the exception of the basic Kingston datatraveler DT1, all of my Kingston flash drives out perform their competition (sandisk, adata and corsair) in transfer speed, at least twice the speed. The only nit picky thing I can think of is that the swivel cover has a little free play to it otherwise it's a quality product.
