5 of 5 Great Buy, Clear Sound , Alot of features. Tuesday, February 24, 2009 ziad ELHALABI from Chicago, ILLINOIS.
I wanted to upgrade from the in-dash original cassette receiver to an aftermarket CD receiver-player, that supports MP3 and WMA files, and that have Sound Control options, like an Equalizer.
Kenwood is a well known brand as any other. The Price was great for this quality head unit, attractive design, detachable face plate. Plus it comes with a remote conrol, AUXILIARY input port, and 2 RCA preamp output (that can be conrolled from the receiver itself).Nice blue display with red illimination. WOW!. I was so pleased with it, that i've upgraded my car speakers and bought a Bass system with amplifier to make a full use of it's clear sound. Easy to use. Read & understand the manual, and you'll be set. I recommend it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great, Cheap head unit Monday, February 23, 2009 A Customer from Boston, MA
The price is unbeatable as you see in here, less than $60 and free shipping for this great unit. The shipment was fast as alway with buy.com. I bought several products in the past, and I have received them in three days. There is a kenwood head unit, a remote control, and a wire harness for this specific head unit in the box. You will need another wire harness for your car manufacture to complete the installation. The head unit looks AWESOME at night, with a red led, make it easier to navigate over my old factory radio. This unit is already to go once you installed in your car. It can runs FM and AM turner, mp3 and WMA, and AUX input with any digital music player. The sounds with the aux is good, the only thing is it is not as loud as you play with cd, you have to turn the volume up a bit. If you want to have your ipod or mp3 player music play in your car, definitely suggested to get this unit. Don't even bother to get a FM transmitter, cuz the sound quality is horrible. It is time to upgrade your head unit if you would like your ipod plays in your car. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Unbelievable deal.. great head unit Wednesday, February 18, 2009 A Customer from new york
First I'd like to say that I don't know how they can sell a quality head unit like this for so cheap.. 60$ for a kenwood reciever?? And free shipping?? A++
Anyway, back to the review.
This unit has everything you would need to upgrade your factory radio. I bought some new 5 1/2 inch speakers to go along with this radio and let me tell you that it sounds great!
This unit also plays MP3 cd's and displays the song information right on the unit! It also has RED led lights which is NICE at night-time because most of the new units have an obnoxious very bright blue light. It looks very attractive.
The best feature would have to be the AUX input right in the front of the unit. I have my ipod docked on my dash and a small 1 ft. wire is attached to the receiver. You can navigate the ipod normally and the sound quality is fantastic.
I can't say anything more about this unit.. just try it out for yourself. What do you have to lose? You won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good purchase Wednesday, February 18, 2009 A Customer from Battle Creek, Mi
Installed for about a week now an is working good. Sound quality from the cd player is much improved over the old one. Owners manual left a little to be desired in how to turn off the demo mode, it has to be in standby mode to enter the main menu which was not a big deal but did have to mess with it a little. Have not had a chance to use the aux. in yet so no comments on that. Was this review helpful?
