5 of 5 Great product Wednesday, August 06, 2008 Chris from Hanford, Ca
recieved this item very quickly as promised, hooked up the sound bar to the tv and it sounds great. have it mounted on the wall just above the tv. the remote is cheap the backing to secure the batteries has already broken. As stated it sounds great but if you want to improve the sound more buy a really good sub woofer. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great product Tuesday, July 22, 2008 Chris from Hanford, Ca
This is a great sound bar, I have High end sound bar in the living room and the kentech sounds just as good. If you do your research before buying you will find this product to be the best value and when you hook it up you will be totally satisfied, just read the reviews other people posted. As for the remote on this sound bar I think its great for me its compact and simple and I believe kentech designed it for that purpose, also have it mounted on the wall which makes it more compact and came with a template for the install. 5 of 5 Great value, Looks Sweet too Sunday, July 20, 2008 Lin F. from Tinley Park, IL
I was happily surprised at how great this speaker bar is! It looks beautiful and makes a big difference in the sound over my Samsung LCD's speakers. My room is small so this is working out so much better than wiring speakers all over. It really fills the room with sound too. Simple to hook up and to use -- the small remote does the job nicely. Hats off to this company for a job well done. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great great value Thursday, July 17, 2008 A Customer from Austin, TX
I had a big mess trying to install a 5.1 speaker system. All the wires were hanging around and looked ugly. To make it good looking, it would cost me $500+. I got this product and it works beautifully. None of my friends realized that the piece existed until I told them.
The bar code was missing but when I sent an email to customer support, they immediately asked me to send a part of the box and I just now received the rebate check. So - everything worked out great! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 good, but not great Friday, July 04, 2008 g from nj
the system is really easy to hook up, minimal wires.
the sub seems to work well.
i cannot get the system to switch from 'cinema' to 'normal' settings. i have no idea which one is default selected, and pressing the button doesnt seem to yield any noticeable difference in sound.
occasionally, there is a slight vibration sound, or whine coming from the system.
overall, great as an amplifier for poor sounding speakers, but i dont hear the surround sound part of it.
sound bubble or not. Was this review helpful?

I bought this product and hooked up to my 61" TV. Wow what a great product for a low price. Go to Best Buy or Circuit City and see how much soundbars cost. This is easy to setup and provides excellent sound. Trust me you can't go wrong with this product. You will be happy with your purchase. BTW I use this with my Xbox 360, PS3,and Projector. THIS IS A GREAT SET OF SPEAKERS AND AN EXCEPTIONAL VALUE, HAVE YOU PRICED SPEAKER BARS LATELY? I PLUGGED IT IN TO MY FLAT SCREEN AND HAVE USED IT FOR WATCHING DVD'S, PLAYING VIDEO GAMES, AND REGULAR T.V. WATCHING. WE HAD IT ON THE OTHER DAY AND HEARD MUSIC COMING FROM A COMMERCIAL THAT WE HAD SEEN DOZENS OF TIMES BUT HAD NEVER NOTICED THE BACKGROUND MUSIC. THIS PRODUCT HAS EASY SETUP AND IS GREAT LOOKING AS WELL. BY THE WAY, I HAVE NEVER WRITTEN A REVIEW ON ANY PRODUCT BUT FELT THIS ONE MERITED IT. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great value, Great Sound Monday, May 19, 2008 A Customer from Lake Forest, CA
I live in an apartment(rent) and wanted a speaker system that can be installed easily. What I did not want is a speaker system with wires going across walkways and sticking out on the walls. All the speakers(like bose cinemate, yamaha sound projectors) were costing like anywhere from $450-$1200. Finally I found kentech labs speaker which I thought was very reasonably priced. It did not have a lot of reviews but I took the risk and bought the speaker. I absolutely love it!!!
Pros:
+Wonderful sound
+Very easy to hookup
+Passive subwoofer is great
+Separate volume control for subwoofer
+Recessed area to connect cables so that they wont interfere with wall mounting
Cons:
+Tried mounting the speaker to the wall but it would sag to the front. The drywall anchors provided with the product are very bad. Bought better drywall anchors and that fixed the problem.
+No FM tuner
+Not enough ports. Only has 2 composite ports for TV and DVD and one auxiallary port
+No Dolby Digital or Dolby Pro Logic II or DTS Decoders Tuner but for the price I paid... I am OK with not having these

4 of 5 BIG SOUND...small price Monday, May 19, 2008 Joe from Phoenix, AZ
When first looking for a soundbar, I was shocked by how expensive other brands like Yamaha, Polk and Philips were. I thought I might be stuck with the miles of speaker wires in my living room to accommodate my Surround Sound System. Then I came across this product. I was very skeptical because of the price, but I figured if it sucked I would just return it. After setting it up and turning it on, I was amazed. It sounded great, and the bass was enough to vibrate the couch. Very cool!!! Easliy rivaled the 1000W SSS I had previously. The only thing I would recommend on Kentech Labs next soundbar is a digital audio out and an equalizer. And maybe more power:) Excellent product, otherwise.

4 of 5 Good performance for the price Tuesday, May 13, 2008 RM from Amarillo, TX
It met my criteria for better sound in a bedroom.
1. No wires to run
2. easy to hook up and use.
3. low cost
4. no built in DVD player (I already had one).
Downsides
1. Does not connect to digital outputs.
2. No real surround sound feel, more like Dolby Stereo.
3. My TV sits on a table and when the sound bar is set in front it blocks the remote IR pickup. I had to build a bracket to mount it on top of the TV set.
All in all, for the comparatively low price I am satisfied. A definite improvement over the TV speakers.

Ever since I got my new plasma t.v, I have been doing lots of research on sound bars for the last 5 months. I came across the BR800SV a couple of weeks ago and soon found in various forums that it was highly recommended. After ordering it arrived in 3 days. Set up took 5 minutes and all I can say is wow! I had a 5.1 set up, but took it down because I was tired on looking at the wires and in all honestly, this sound bar comes very close to it. It sounds like more than one central speaker is going. I have my sony sub hooked to it and all together it sounds great. My wife couldn't believe that all that sound is coming from just one piece of equipment that sits below the t.v. I am happy with my purchase. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Simply awesome product Wednesday, April 09, 2008 apurva from Auburn Hills, MI
For a family like mine who have a one year toddler ready to rip apart anything and everything, I think this is like a boom.
I am not an audiophile and so I was not looking to upgrade my movie watching experience to home theater. I was looking to upgrade my overall TV watching experience. This product solves everything. Sound is great. Bass is very nice and ample. You can immediately figure out what you have been missing in hearing from the TV set.
I just love this. You definetely can appreciate the sound. To top it off, I can connect my MP3 player, and I have a nice audio system. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great system Tuesday, April 08, 2008 Bill from Orlando, Florida
First of all I ordered this BR800SV on 04/01 and received it (in Florida) on 04/03. Very Fast shipping. I have to say that this is a very nice looking speaker system and produces great sound. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. My only disappointment is with the remote control. That is one of the cheapest looking and feeling remotes I have ever seen. 5 of 5 Very Good Speaker System Monday, April 07, 2008 Bill from Orlando, Florida
First of all I have to comment on how quick I received the product. I ordered it on 04/01/08 and had it in my hands on 04/03/08 and that was with the free standard shipping(7-9 days).
The product is sleek and looks great on my wall under my TV. The sound is excellent and it is at a great price. I will comment that the remote control that comes with it the BR800SV feels cheap and looks cheap. I would definitely recommend this product Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Unit for bedroom Thursday, March 27, 2008 A Customer from Manasass VA
I was looking for a system for a while but I didn't want 20 (just 6) units all around place. This unit is perfect for me. Just 2 units and it is banging!! I just got a notice from leasing offce..... They will kick me out if I am not turning down the music! Dang :) Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Rebate Wednesday, March 26, 2008 A Customer from LA, CA
I had written in previously regarding the lack of a UPC code for this product. I emailed buy.com instead of contacting Kentech directly. Once again, Buy.com did not disappoint and shows once again why they are my favorite online merchant. They responded within a couple of days and informed me that my account has been credited the $30, which it was. Great service! By the way, the speakers are wonderful; for the price, you just can't beat it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best 3.1 point source system around Tuesday, March 25, 2008 Apurva from Auburn Hills, MI
We have a kid who is crawling and roaming our house. So we needed something that we didnt have to wire all around our living room furniture.
After listening to movies, TV from the TV speakers and then turning this system ON, we came to know what we were missing.
It is simply great. For people who are not audiophiles and are looking to upgrade their movie experience, this is a great buy.
It is definitely worth every penny (although I didnt pay any.. I used my buy.com rewards).
Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

The BR800-SV is an excellent speaker system. For what I needed Boston Acoustics and Bose are way over priced. The price and performance are perfect (got mine with a $30 rebate more on that later). Solid build quality and can be wall mounted under your flat panel. The sub woofer can be adjusted separately from the speaker volume and puts out plenty of bass for the small bedroom which it's in. Hook ups were very simple and I was listening in less than 10 minutes (WOW!!!). I called Kentech because the boxes do not have a UPC symbol on them for the rebate. Greg at Kentech (thank you) told me the UPC symbol is not on the boxes that came with the BR800-SV but on the shipping box instead. It's a problem with the distributor not Kentech. I told him my wife may have thrown out the shipping boxes and he said not a problem. He has my name and trusts me. The BR800-SV is an excellent product and customer service was also great. They are a newer company so please be patient with them. I will be buying another pair as soon as I get a new HDTV for another bedroom. This is the first time I have ever written a review online because the BR800-SV deserves it. Remember speaker systems like this are not a replacement for 5.1 or above.

5 of 5 Compact Good Sounding Home Theater Monday, March 17, 2008 Daryl Gerber from Maplewood, MN
This fit my bill for enhanced sound for my plasma TV. It is compact and looks good mounted below the TV with only the subwoofer of to the side. I was not willing to spend the mega dollars to purchase a full surround system so I am extremely pleased with this speaker system. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 About the Rebate Friday, March 14, 2008 A Customer from ny
The poster above me said he could not find the UPC code on the box the sound bar or Sub woofer came in is true. The UPC code is stuck on the outside of the brown packing box the system was delivered in. It's a address label size white sticker with the UPC code that is needed, i hope he reads this in time to send in for his rebate. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Friday, March 14, 2008 A Customer from Princeton TX
Came packed very well to avoid any damage. Sent UPS and arrived three days early. Works very well and I am extremely satisfied with this speaker bar. The sub puts out a little base but not much. All in all for the price I am very pleased. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Product, Rebate Issue Thursday, March 13, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
Got this unit because the sound from my plasma was terrible and I didn't want to set up a "true" surround sound system for the tv. Arrived quickly and setup was a breeze. Sound is GREAT! Only problem is that the product, which came in 2 boxes, does not have a product UPC code anywhere, which makes the $30 rebate pretty much useless. Emailed buy.com customer service for help but seems they are inclined to believe that it's on the box and that somehow, I'm just missing it. Trust me, it's not on either of the boxes. Anyone else have this problem?

4 of 5 served my purpose Sunday, March 09, 2008 anita from baltimore, maryland
I needed something to boost the audio of my flat screen tv without hooking up an entire home theater system in my bedroom and this product served my purpose. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Nice Wednesday, March 05, 2008 A Customer from New York
I bought this for a bed room where setting up 5 separate speakers can't be done. My Emerson HDTV only has digital and 3.MM headphone out jacks and since no digital connection i used that. I left my portable DVD player hooked to the TV so both audio runs off the Headphone Jack. The sound from the sound bar is excellent, i heard sound from my Everybody Loves Raymond DVDs never heard before. The cinema mode really make for a great SS sound, you would think you have more speakers. IF you can't setup 5 separate speakers than this is the system for you. Was this review helpful?
