5 of 5 The best laptop bag I ever had Thursday, February 14, 2008 Silican from Atlanta, GA
This is my fourth laptop bag after 2 targus and one Dell and by far this is the best I ever had. I have using Saddlebag Pro extensively for the last 2 years and is still looking for another 1 more year. I just love the sliding compartment to store my cellphone charger and wireless mouse. The front compartments are really nice to have a book for travel, a safe zippered pocket for an iPod and a nicely padded laptop compartment. As other users have said, the bag looks a little rugged/faded as opposed to the pics posted on buy.com. But with such a great design and performance, I care less for the looks. 5 of 5 Versatile bag that is durable Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Chicago, IL
This bag can conform to a backpack when you are commuting and briefcase when you are visiting client sites. It's extremely durable and has a lot of cool compartments for storage and easy access. Was this review helpful?

A very good bag. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I'm on my 3rd and love this bag Tuesday, January 30, 2007 Prof. Jonathan from Long Island, NY
I'm on my 3rd Kensington Saddlebag over the past 5 years, and love it. My first started fraying at the top of the straps after about 3 years of daily lugging; the second is still in good shape, but when I could upgrade to the one with the drawer, I jumped at the chance, so now I have two (I'm handing one over to my job's IT dept).
This is my everyday bag, traveling with my HP 15.4" screen laptop back and forth to my office. I've also used it for air travel; it fits comfortably under an airplane seat, and the many pockets make it easy to access everything. The bag itself is light and comfortable to carry, and the padded compartment holds a laptop snugly. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

Bought this computer bag for my husband for Christmas. Lots of Room for Computer and files nice amount of padding. The bottom drawer is very handy for those little extras that seem to always get lost at the bottom of other bags. He likes that he can carry it with the handle or use it as a backpack. Looks nice enough for the business meeting, but functional as a backpack Would be nice to have more sectional pockets inside. Was this review helpful?

I got this laptop case a month ago and appreciate its novel design, strong stitching, good fabric and excellent padding for laptops. It caters to both formal and informal occassions. However, if you travel too often casually, I would recommend some other carrying case (a backpack) which is more comfortable. For people who want the convenience of both formal and casual carrying case, this is a good option. It doesnt look all that bad as people have found it. If you love rough and tough fabric, like the one used for army bags, this could be a great option. It can carry the laptop battery, mouse, small webcams, pens and other small stationery in its junk-it drawer and a lot of other stuff in the partition adjacent to the one that carries laptop. All in all its a carry case worth trying. Was this review helpful?

First and foremost the price was right when I got this bag. It is well built, rugged, LOADED with pouches and pockets to put stuff in. PLENTY of room for your laptop, your laptop extras, and like 2 days of supplies if you are going to make a weekend airport excursion. It has backpack straps that are hidden until you open the zipper on one of the other 4 million pockets on the backside and then you can implement them. It has a cool little drawer that runs along the width of the bottom of the bag that slides out to put stuff in (power pack, etc.)
Some people have complained the bag is too big. I personally don't think so. From the reviews you think you are going to receive a duffle bag or something. Relax, it's not that big, but it is taller than a regular run of the mill laptop bag.
It is well padded and the laptop compartment just barely holds my Dell Inspiron 15.4 widescreen laptop, so if that is a concern, don't sweat it, it will fit. Overall I completely love the bag, especially for the price. The only issue I have is the picture on the website makes the bag look black, which I liked. However the bag is actually a gray color, that depending on the lighting can take on a seafoam green kind of tint...but it usually looks gray.
Otherwise this is an especially great weekend bag if you don't want to take your nicer bag on a road trip or out of town for whatever reason. It doesn't have much of a professional look, but it's more chill and unique which is cool. I have not shown it to one person who hasn't marveled at the amount of space the bag has or how it is laid out. Good bag, I recommend it. Was this review helpful?

I am very impressed with the quality and appearance of this bag. I got a great deal on it with Google Checkout and the rebate and wish I had ordered 2 instead of just one for a present. I want one for myself! It's very stylish and appears to be heavy duty. Was this review helpful?

"dont belive what you see" thats the first impression i got, the bag looked so nice and smooth on the website photo's but Oh, what a shock.
it is waht it is at its price, cheap and LOOKS really cheap.and its huge, my 14 inch gets swallowed in it.
but for the rest of features it is a steal, and has great functions, and nice durability, and nice padding.
the less rating is for its looks not for its performance. Was this review helpful?

This is a great bag with plenty of room for your laptop, files, books, and accessories. I love the junk it drawer where you can keep your power cables, etc. without having to dig down to the bottom of the main compartment. The bag also has a slip where you can slide it over the handles of a roll-on bag so you don't have to lug it through the airport. The option to convert to a backpack is also nice. Bottom line is that this is a great bag at a great value through Buy.com Was this review helpful?

It is pretty spacious, and it holds things like it says it does. The junk drawer is nice for cell phone chargers and the like.
The nylon seems to be wearing pretty quickly where the backpack straps are stored inside; I may just cut them off to reclaim the pocket and stop the trouble. Was this review helpful?

I had minimal expectations for this bag when I got it. I was replacing an eight year old awesome bag and dreading it. The old one did everything I needed. This new bag did all that and more. The "junk-it" drawer is so smart. The hideaway backpack straps make travel a breeze. I highly recommend this product!! Was this review helpful?

Looks like a great bag, however, I bought it because of how slick the bag looked in the picture buy.com used. The bag looks smooth with a soft surface, however, the surface is more of a rough type of durable fabric. It seems durable, however, it does not look refined which makes me give it 4 out of 5 for being close to perfect. Was this review helpful?

I'm very happy with this case and the price I got it for. What I like best about this case is its durable construction. It's built tough and still looks nice. This case fits my 15.4 inch laptop nicely, and has plenty of room to spare for my school books. Was this review helpful?

This bag is very light weight, but very rugged and durable. My 15" Dell Inspiron 6000 fits nicely into the padded laptop pouch. It has lots of room for needed laptop accessories and cables, along with room for a couple books, folders and notepads. Great for traveling as the laptop is quickly removed for security checks, and it fits nicely beneath an airline seat or in the overhead bin. I really like how it converts easily from an over the sholder bag to a backpack which is also great for walking long distances through airports with it. Very nice for a casual business type laptop bag! Was this review helpful?

This is a neat and spacious bag with very adequate storage. What I love the most is the actual notebook pocket, which is well padded and sort of elastically "hugs" the laptop in place. The "junk" drawer is a nice feature too. The backpack straps are hidden inside a zippered spacious pocket, which you will not be able to close, unfortunately, if you use it as a backpack, but that open compartment will be flat against your back. This is probably a minor drawback. I am however very pleased with it. Thank you Buy.com. Was this review helpful?

Easy to organize your items in here. Big enough to hold all your cables and computer and books as well.
I don't use the backpack feature much but it is a great option if you just get tired of using the other features.
The only drawback to this is the way the handle is attached. If it is not latched underneath then this tends to open the whole bag when you try to pick up. Was this review helpful?

The bag is incredibly sturdy, and looks like it will never wear down. It has a lot of space, and a nice sleeve for the laptop. Only complaint is that the bottom of the sleeve could be more cushioned, though the rest is well protected. Lots of room for books as well. When things get too heavy, just strap on the shoulder straps and wear as a backpack. Great design. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Awesome bag Thursday, July 28, 2005 Backpacked from San Francisco, CA
I prefer backpacks but this thing is so great if you want to convert it to over-the-shoulder or just the strap. Holds my laptop, gym shoes, gym clothes, towel extra shirt as well as my cellphone, change and wallet! A must-have! Was this review helpful?

I got this bag because I needed one badly but did not have the money to spend a lot. What a great surprise when the bag got here and it is everything I wanted. The ability to use the carrying strap, handle or backpack straps is great. The junk drawer fits my cords well. I would pay full price. Was this review helpful?
3 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 nice value for the price Tuesday, June 14, 2005 robin from SWFL
Thought this bag was worth a shot for the price as I didn't like any of the standard laptop bags available locally. One thing I did not want was a lot of velcro and this bag does not! The main closure is a big buckle on the fold over flap. Everything else zips closed, with some small velcro supports. I really love how the laptop is held in this bag--no goofy velcro "adjustment" strap to make it secure; it just is secure. The bag is really roomy, actually too much for my day to day needs, but it was perfect for a trip I just took and I will never be cramming papers in my bag like my husband has to on his. The one thing I could really do without is the junk drawer. I think it's attached in front of the laptop section, which makes the base of the bag look really wide. I've actually removed the drawer but it hasn't changed the shape too much. I think I would have preferred a slightly taller bag with the drawer going underneath the computer for a slimmer profile. Other than that, though, the drawer area is nice for all the cables so they're not loose in the bag.
Really nice bag--not perfect--I am very satisfied for the price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent product Monday, May 23, 2005 Tripti from utah
I was amazed at the number of features they have managed to fit into one bag. It can be used as a back pack which expandable to include more books and files. The quality is excellent and looks very sturdy.
Spacoius, a good padded laptop compartment, nice pockets for keeping things and sturdy shoulder starps.
Excellent price too. I am glad I bought this bag. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 It's a steal! Saturday, May 14, 2005 A Customer from Holmdel, New Jersey
I am actually looking for a backpack for my notebook. The only reason I bought this one is just because with 25 dollar rebate, the price is really hard to beat. But after I got the bag, I am really happy about it.
Mine notebook is a big one from HP with 15.4 inch of widescreen and it's kind of thick but this bag fits it well. The junk-it drawer is really handy when you have a big notebook AC charger like mine. The bag is also expandable and waterproof. It's a saddle bag but can be used as backpack too.
It might not be as refined as those bags from Samsonite or Targus but with this kind of price (lower than 20 dollars), you have nothing to complain. Was this review helpful?
