5 of 5 Great product at a great price Saturday, January 17, 2009 A Customer from Calhoun, GA
I was somewhat reluctant to buy this product due the the general reviews of poor audio on most FM transmitters for I Pods. I finally decided to purchase this for my daughter. She received it within a week of ordering and has been more than plesed with its performance. She says the ease of use is great and the audio quality is more than adequate. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Satisfied my quest for IPOD in car Friday, January 16, 2009 Randy from Chicago, IL
I have tried other radio transmitters and had given up and was looking into spending $300+ to get IPOD in my bimmer. Fortunately decided to give this a try when on sale for $15- did not regret.
PROS: RDS-can see song or podcast title on radio, has on/off switch, charges Ipod, very easy to program.
CONS: Occasional minimal static related to outside environment, volume output lower than standard FM stations, channel selector on the back of the unit changes with a slightest touch - overcome by programming the best channel onto all 3 setings.
Bottom line: If you do not want to fork out for the professional installation and want a car kit you can take with you- this is probably the best out there Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Ipod Nano 3rd Generation Thursday, January 15, 2009 Greg from Summerville, SC
Unit is fairly easy to use, but was not 100% self-explanatory. That is to say, I did have to refer to the instructions to get it to work the first time.
Will not broadcast on FM channels below 88.1 (i.e. 87.9) like my Tom Tom GPS. This limits finding channels without any radio station interference or hiss.
Tip that inserts into cigarette lighter receptacle is a screw on, and it came un-screwed while inserted. Was able to retrieve and suggest gluing to prevent future occurences.
Overall good value compared to similar units priced at Best Buy for $50-60. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent! Wednesday, January 14, 2009 Steve G. from Mendocino, CA
Works great and the RDS display of album name and track name is cool. Setup is completely painless - took me all of 20 or 30 seconds to be listening. Sound is good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best transmitter for the price Wednesday, January 14, 2009 Damai from 11747
I got this at a very good price. Could be the last item they have in the warehouse. It works great, except in the city. There is so much interference. I don't think a $900,000 transmitter would be able to resolve this interference problem. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Wednesday, December 24, 2008 A Customer from Newtown, PA
This product works great, we've already used it in multiple vehicles bought it for a gift & he loves it says it was the best money spent, and as a result, I do not get to listen my own music in my car, as it goes where he goes. We did not have any static issues even worked over stations in use. Highly recommend it! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good not great Monday, December 22, 2008 jaq_72 from Miami, Fl
The trick is finding a station that has minimal static or "hiss". If you can find a station like this in your area, then it works very well. Once I found that station, I locked it into my preset stations and use that instead of trying to find a new one every time I get in the car. For an inexpensive answer to just wanting to listen to your ipod in the car, it works very well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very good product Thursday, December 11, 2008 BJ from Hilo, HI
Sound reproduction is very good. Having trouble getting station location to 'stick' between uses. Signal does not drift.
Would definitely recommend especially at $16 with free shipping (on sale price).
Used with iTouch 2nd gen. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great for the money Monday, December 08, 2008 Jane from Sammamish, WA
After changing my car and losing my AUX input jack, I thought I'd start cheap and build up if necessary. This is my first option to have my ipod play through my speakers. If you're not moving, I think it's great. Slight hiss on the station I chose, but not too bad. Driving around can be tricky though. I haven't used it for a while, and will probably burn CDs until I can totally upgrade my car stereo. Not a bad product; it just has it's limitations. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Kensington RDS FM Transmitter/Car Charger for iPod Friday, November 28, 2008 A Customer from newyork
Does not work with IPHONE only works with ipods, it will charge your IPHONE only, sound is not great but it also depends on the station you choose to transmit. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Even wife can use it! Thursday, November 27, 2008 Michael from Olivehurst, CA
My wife was thrilled with the ease of use and performance of this product. Music is clearer than her previous transmitter. Definitely recommend. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works well in outlying areas Monday, November 24, 2008 Mike from Riverside, CA
This works well in outlying areas where there is less radio station interference than in the city. Having 3 presets helps but if there is any station near the range, interference does come into play. Other than that, it works as designed and relatively easy to setup if you follow the directions. Well worth the $15.00 price and Buy.com got the item to me in next to no time! 4 of 5 excellent service Sunday, November 23, 2008 A Customer from Sacramento, Ca
This my third FM transmitter, one of the best reception. Don't by the cheap ones from Fry's, they don't work! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Overall good buy Tuesday, November 18, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
Easy to set up. Works better than most FM transmitters I have tried. There is slight static on occassion, but I have not found an FM transmitter yet that is completely static free. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great but can be tricky to set up for Ipod T Thursday, November 06, 2008 Andrew from Fort Dodge, Iowa
Since the price of this FM transmitter was so cheap, I decided to press my luck and buy it for the Ipod Touch even though it isnt 100% compatible. For the Ipod Touch, it will not display the radio station on the screen of the Ipod but I still got the transmitter to work after a few minutes. You just put your radio on a vacant station and then play your Ipod tocuh and just keep pushing + or - until your music starts playing. I used the memory feature of the transmitter and set it to 1 so it wont forget that station and I can easily come back to it just by pushing it. The sound quality is excellent but I learned that if another radio station is somewhat coming through on the station you are trying to use, the transmitter won't work as well. So find a completely vacant station. The fact that the transmitter charges too is great! I hope this helps some people who are considering this transmitter for the Ipod Touch. 5 of 5 Get The Most Out Of Your IPOD Tuesday, July 03, 2007 edannis from Malvern, PA
Tired of the same old songs playing over and over in your car from commercial radio? Take your ipod along in your car and enjoy your own music choices. This device makes it simple, charges your ipod while you drive. Since available fm stations vary by city, this device allows you to search all fm wave bands for open channels and then let's you memorize the station with the push of a button.
Great device and as always the best price from Buy.com. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 As good as it gets Wednesday, March 21, 2007 A Customer from Minneapolis,MN
Works great in my car which has the antenna built into the back window. Doesn't work great in my truck with an antenna on a mast outside the passenger door. Other stations sometimes overpower it even when you are not very close to the frequency. RDS is a very nice feature if your car radio supports it. Not quite as good as a direct input to your radio, but I guess that is the limit of an all FM transmitters. Was this review helpful?
