3 of 5 Nice, but Tuesday, January 30, 2007 P Floyd from Richmond, Va
Having owned this model for some time now, I've come to live with its shortcomings. That being the rotating lock mechanism is very cumbersome in tight quarters. Unless you have it connected as it is pictured, turning the thumbwheels are a bit irritating. The lining up of the combination takes some talent too, as the tumbler is not very tight. The idea of using it to protect my laptop in a hotel room has not exactly panned out either; as there is not always something secure you can loop it through that will protect it.
Overall, I still consider it a good investment; better than hiding your laptop in the closet of the hotel room. However, they do make a model with a key lock which is a lot easier to work with. The downside of that model is you’re screwed if you lose the keys. They do give you 2 keys, but keep them in different places if you ever want your device back again. The upside of the thumbwheel model is an hour of trying the 3 number combination will have you back in business again. However, it's also the downside of it too.
