4 of 5 Works well!!! Monday, May 11, 2009 A Customer from Tallahassee, FL
This product works as expected. I have connected this to the auxilliary input on my Pioneer head unit and the sound is perfect. This product charges my iPhone 3G without any issues despite the regular notice that pops up on my iPhone screen when I plug it in that tells me it is not compatible. I just disregard this message when it appears and it continues to perform fine. The remote really does nothing for me since my iPhone sits in a cradle within easy reach of my seat. 2 of 5 Drains iPod if you Leave it Connected Tuesday, April 07, 2009 A Customer from Stamford, CT
Sound is great; but I have a Japanese car that shuts off the cigarette lighter when I turn off the ignition. If I leave the iPod connected overnight, it is dead flat the next morning - I have to unplg the iPod everytime I shut the car off, which is inconvenient. Also, the remote buttons are hard to press, sometimes they don't respond right away. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent adapter Monday, March 23, 2009 Chris from Pearland, TX
There is a slight humming when everything is plugged in and no music is playing, but aside from that, it works great. I would definitely recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great iPhone Charger / AUX Tuesday, March 17, 2009 Marvin from Asheville, NC
I purchased liquidAUX because I needed a charger for my 3g iphone and wanted to port the audio through the doc connector instead of the headphone jack. Works great for that, but it also came with a remote control that is really handy. I ended up buying another one for my wife. Easy to use and works great!
I didn't need a GLI for my subaru, but did need one to kill the humm on my wife's Toyota. We had the humm with any power source that powered the ipod/iphone. It had nothing to do with the liquidaux. Crutchfield carries a 3.5mm GLI that worked for us. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product... if your car is set up for it Tuesday, March 03, 2009 A Customer from Studio City, CA
I have one of these and liked it so much I bought one for my wife and father (we all have iPhones). I wish I had paid this $35 price for it instead of the much higher price I paid previously! So I give the device 5 stars for value at this low price!
This is a great device, though. Your car has to have an aux jack, though. People who complain of hum or interference should not blame this product, rather their car stereo has a ground loop problem with the power jack and was not properly installed (so any device that both draws power and sends a music signal will do the same thing, it's not the fault of this device). A good installer will avoid this problem, a bad installer will blame your devices or recommend a filter which really deadens the sound of the music. Google "ground loop isolator" for more info.
But if your car is set up right, this is simply fantastic. I love having the controls at my fingertips (sadly an idiot valet broke my wife's steering wheel mount... I wish there was a better way). The aux-in jack and power jack are right next to each other in my Honda Element. Just leave the thing plugged in, pop it in the bottom of my iPhone when I get in the car, and I have music and podcasts readily at my fingertips coming from my fully-charged iPhone, at all times. As mentioned in other reviews I've read, this product causes a high-pitched interference sound at times. This is in my 2008 Honda Accord. It is not always there, but usually and tends to ruin jazz or classical music. The problem does not happen if I connect my iPod Touch using a simple mini-plug cable, so I blame it on the combo iPod jack of power and audio.
Kensington has a recommendation for solving the problem. I have not tried it yet as it involves more gear to purchase. Also, I'm generally satisfied with this purchase flawed as it is. At this price I'd like to think the thing would work perfectly, it's a simple enough piece of equipment, but that's consumer electronics for you. The remote works, it keeps my iPod charged, and usually the audio quality is pretty good. That will have to do for now. Was this review helpful?

The LiquidAux is currently the only available car charger with a 3.5mm aux line-out that is fully compatible with the iPhone 3G. Similar parts will put the iPhone 3G into airplane mode or popup a compatibility error each time that they are connected.
The LiquidAux charges the iPhone even under full load, like while using Pandora Radio during your commute.
I thought that the bundled wireless iPod remote would be a gimmick, but it actually works very well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great Monday, December 01, 2008 Dave from Minneapolis, MN
I purchused this for my 2009 Nissan Altima. I'm runing a 3rd Gen 8GB Nano and everthing works has designed. My only complaint is it dosen't seem to shut down the Nano when the the car is off. This has lead to some frustration when I go to use the Nano out of the car and find it dead. Just remember to shut it off!
The sound is GREAT - much better then using an FM radio device. Was this review helpful?
