1 of 5 Terrible Sunday, June 28, 2009 Mike from Racine, WI
I have had nothing but problems with this unit. The keyboard and mouse will stop working for seconds at a time, and after a while the keyboard will quit completly. The only thing that will bring it back is to pull the batteries out and put them back in.
Kensington replaced the unit twice and every one was the same. I have heard that it works better with XP than Vista, but I have not tried it on XP. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great Monday, March 02, 2009 CB from Kansas
It was easy to set up just plugged into the USB and sat down in my recliner and it worked great with my computer hooked up to a LCD TV. No problems picking up the signal at 12 feet. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Keyboard Lagging Wednesday, November 19, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
For those who type faster than 40mph this keyboard is not good for you. It has a very slow response and when typing fast it misses so many keys it is ridiculous. the keyboard freezes every now and then. I purchased this keyboard less a month ago and as I am writing this it stopped working. The batteries died SO fast not sure how they say 9 months.
Another flaw is that you cant raise the keyboard a little higher, it is kinda flat on the desk. Maybe I got a Lemon!! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It was not as good as I expected! Wednesday, October 29, 2008 hz34 from kearny, NJ
The picture looks great, but the mouse and receiver are a little bit big, and when I used it for third time, the mouse does not work, I don't what's the problem with it. Unfortunately ,I have cut the original UPC from the product packaging in order for mail-in rebate, that's why I did not choose to return. Overall, I was a little disappointed with this product! I was looking for remotes that would work atleast from my living room chairs, etc. to the LCD HD across the room. Looked around and most would only do 4 to 6ft. I needed 15ft or alittle more if possible. I have tried it from just about everywhere in the room and it works great. Didn't even use the disk as it does everything I need without installation. Computer recognized keyboard and mouse on boot. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Not for Windows Vista Monday, April 07, 2008 kw from Farmington, CT
Excellent performance, but unfortunately Kensington does not have a driver for Windows Vista. Hence the extra buttons (or features) don't do anything. What a waste! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 a gamer's delight! Wednesday, April 02, 2008 wkindred from des moines, ia
great quality wireless desktop at a great price! gotta love rebates! was a bit taken aback by the size and heft of the laser mouse....but after a couple sessions of "fear" i've grown to love the "secure" feel of the mouse. the keyboard has great action and a host of "special function" buttons. i give this item a big YRRRRRNT!

I'm very picky about my keyboard -- if the 'click' isn't right, I hate it. I buy keyboards (and mice) only to use it, hoping I will get used to it, but most just feel wrong. I'm pleased to report that this Kensington keyboard has a nice feel to it. Minor quibbles: the palm rest is soft and cushy, but could be a tad bigger (my hands fall of the padding). The audio controls are small buttons on the left side and work great, but I might have made them slightly larger and easier to push for a resopnse (they require an honest push - maybe that was designed for avoiding inadvertent hits with your left palm). The mouse has ridges on the side that I didn't like at first, but are now fine with me. I think you'll like this. Was this review helpful?

(Ordered on 10/19/2007 I love this device! The performance is excellent right out the box! I don’t normally write reviews, but the performance of this product inspired me. What I have to say is consistent with others comments, so I will cut and paste, (I wasn't sure if it was going to work for what I intended to use it for but right out of the box it worked flawlessly. I wanted to use my large screen tv as a monitor for my computer: It took seconds to install and set up. My keyboard and mouse are approximately 26 feet from the computer, yet they work like they are wired devices.). Great Product, I will buy another on soon! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Difficulty with keyboard Tuesday, September 25, 2007 A Customer from Springfield, IL
The mouse is very good, tracks very well and synced immediately upon installation. However, the keyboard has very poor response and has a long lag time to awake after going to sleep mode. Had much difficulty in getting the keyboard to sync during installation, and have had to re sync several times. I find the Logitech M3400 to be a much better alternative, for not much more money. Easy to install. Keyboard works fine. extra buttons won't function on my computer.
mouse is fine for normal use, but stinks for gaming. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I likey Friday, April 27, 2007 Ira Getraer from Tucson, Arizona
Just took the product out of the box, didn't even install the software that came with it, but everything already works. The preprogrammed buttons do exactly what they should, opening calculator, e-mail programs, refreshing webpages, bringing you to the home page, volume control, media player control, all with one touch from your keyboard. Range is good, in fact I left the room to type this sentence!
Two negatives: the mouse is a little big if you plan on traveling with it, and the USB thingy doesn't have integrated storage into the keyboard or mouse. Other than that, this product seems to be outstanding, and at a great price. Was this review helpful?

I wanted to use my large screen tv as a monitor for my computer, but these two devices are in separate rooms (next to each other). I bought a long vga cable extension and this Kensington wireless keyboard/mouse. It took seconds to install and set up. My keyboard and mouse are approximately 28 feet from the computer now, yet they work like they are wired devices. I am very pleased with this product.
This is my second attempt at a wireless connection. My previous purchase (from a different vendor) required deleting mouse and keyboard drivers and modifying the registry, all dangerous stuff. Glad I sent that one back.
The Kensington is the one to go with. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for use with the Sony PS3 Tuesday, January 30, 2007 A Customer from Rosamond, CA
I wasn't sure if it was going to work for what I intended to use it for but right out of the box it worked flawlessly. I plugged the USB receiver into the Sony PS3 and the mouse and keyboard worked for the HDTV online browser. Was this review helpful?

I but the keyboard for use under Linux on my work machine and have not been disappointed. When I plugged the USB adapter into my laptop, both the mouse and keyboard worked immediately and I have never had connection issues.
My opinion is the keyboard keys are a little stiff and I have had keys stick on occasion (may not be the key itself, but the hardware or software). The mouse tracks well, although from time to time it skips (probably some wireless interference).
Under Linux (Ubuntu Dapper Drake), both the keyboard and mouse just work. I plugged it in, started the machine and was using it immediately. On the keyboard the only keys that don't work are the four arrow keys on the left. I was able to program the other keys to function under Gnome, but those four don't function and could not be programmed.
The mouse was a different story. While the basic functions work as expected, the horizontal scroll and three thumb-tip buttons do not work. Was this review helpful?
