I wanted to try out the speech recognition software that came with my computer and needed a boom mike to do so. My only observation is that the length of the boom mike seems a bit short. Occasionally there's an error in recognition, and I wonder if the position of the mike had anything to do with it. As it is, the mike is positioned to one side a couple inches away from my lips; the software advises the mike be directly in front. I haven't tried recording or talking to anyone else, so I can't comment on the clarity or quality. Price is definitely attractive. Was this review helpful?

Well I ordered the headset recently, and I have to say, it is a pretty good value for what you get. It's easy as pie to use and I haven't had any compatibility issues with anything on it. My only qualm about such a product is the fact that it can echo what is on your headphones, while it is not an issue for things like MSN messenger where you use push talk, it makes ventrilo and steam chatting a hassle without tweaking it, but once it's tweaked the echo is next to unnoticeable. The delivery was fast, the headset is comfortable and of a good quality. The only thing is that contrary to the description it does not have a USB port connector. As the picture shows, it has just two connectors - in (mic) and out (speaker).

For the money this is a great headset w/mic. I primarily use it to talk on Skype, very clean sound and mic is sensitive, people tell me that it has a clear sound.
