3 of 5 Good but not spectacular Saturday, June 09, 2007 A Customer from San Diego, CA
I bought this for $39.99 and for the price it does a decent job. The best things I like about it is the sound quality for both base and treble response, and it is easy to travel with. The monitor button to mute the sound so you can listen for outside sounds, and the volume control are both very handy. The in-the-ear design was comfortable. I would rate the noise reduction ability only as adequate. It is supposed to be 80% noise cancelling but it feels more like 50% and there is a slight hissing to it, which you can only hear when your music isn't playing. The control box is kind of bulky and I don't like that I have to now clip my mp3 player and the control box somewhere and keep the wires straight. I'm overall satisfied with it but wouldn't give it an 8 like C-Net did. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Not effective Thursday, May 17, 2007 A Customer from Huntington Beach, CA
It is just an overpriced hissing gadget. It is not smart enough to adjust its own volume level according to the outside ambiance noise. You will be constantly hearing the hissing noise in your ears even if you are in a semi quite area. I think a $4 pair of pre-shaped foam ear plugs would do a better job at keeping the noises out. 1 of 5 Disappointed Tuesday, April 03, 2007 plaer from Saint Peters Mo. 63376
When the head phones stay in my ear they are not so bad but I was really disappointed with the volume out put. I work in the Auto industry and there are a lot noises all around you. I really cant't tell the difference when the monitor is on or off the volume is the same. I have head phones I purchased for 9.99 at Wal-mart that stay in my ear better and the volume is just as good so I'm back to using them. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good unit for the money Friday, March 23, 2007 N0DOZ from Aurora CO
I really like this item. Tried it at work (I work on an airfield) and driving home with the sunroof open... very good to excellent noise cancelling. Tried various music types, MP3 (Sansa e270) and XM (Samsung Nexus) with very satisfactory results: good bass, clear and crisp highs. I also like that you can turn off the noise canceling and still use the earphones. Excellent comfort out of the box...very soft rubber (silicone?) cushions that seal very easily. Shiny lacquer-look black and brushed silver finish matches nicely with the Sansa e270, BTW. Still need to try them with a higher-quality source before I'd rate performance as a 5. Overall, you won't go wrong with these IMHO. Was this review helpful?
