5 of 5 Great Headphones Friday, April 03, 2009 A Customer from Van Alstyne, Tx
Bought these as a replacement for some cheap Koss. WOW they are bigger than I thought- but comfortable and sound awesome. These were for nothing but music. They do their job and I would highly recommend these for the price. Fast shipping too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Thursday, March 05, 2009 A Customer from Pennsylvania
Awesome price ($34.99 shipped) and arrived promptly within three days of the order being placed using budget shipping. These headphones sound fantastic; I've never heard clearer, sharper sound with any sound device ever, be it other headphones, stereo systems, etc. And apparently these headphones get better if they're burned in (use a search engine if you're unsure of what it means to "burn in" headphones), which I find difficult to believe, as they sound absolutely fantastic as it is. They're also comfortable, even after hours of use. The construction is sturdy, the entire apparatus is not too heavy, and the cord is long and very flexible, so any excess cord can easily be tied up and put out of the way. Highly, highly recommended. 4 of 5 Good headphones Monday, March 02, 2009 A Customer from Fountain Valley, CA
I'm a big fan of Koss Portapro and Grado SR60. I bought a Sennheiser HD555 to try something different, but was disappointed. After reading great things about this JVC RX700 and its brother RX700, I decided to give them a try. Sounded pretty bad right out of box, but after playing music on an unused PC for several days, the sound improved. It's has more bass and detail than HD555 and much more comfortable to ware. However, when I listen to some classical music, piano doesn't sound as good comparing to RX900 and my other headphones. Rock works great though. RX700 is also a little boomy to my taste.
I would recommend to anyone who likes to enjoy music not the cool factor or look. Personally I prefer RX900 and SR60. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great for the price Monday, January 26, 2009 Tyler from Bloomington, IN
I'm fairly new to "audiophile" type headphones. I've done a lot of work with high-end car stereos and have a decent set of bookshelf speakers.I can only compares these headphones to that and my Grado SR-60s.
These have a warmer sound to them, as the treble feels rolled off. It's never an issue, though, as the music still feels clear and still has an edge to it. Bass and midrange is pretty decent, though you can find headphones around this price with a bit more bass (which isn't always equivalent to sound quality).
They're very comfortable and feel very sturdy. For $35, I was very surprised with these headphones (as were all the people I showed them to). Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Pretty nice Monday, December 08, 2008 A Customer from Springfield, MO
High quality construction. Pretty decent sound though I'm not an audio head by any means. Decently long cord. They can get a little warm after a bit which is about the only real negative so far. Performs well for the amount of money paid for them. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great cans..... Wednesday, November 12, 2008 Brian from Hillsboro, OR
These headphones are great. Best price for performance hands down. These sound as good or better than other headphones that are 4 and 5 times the price. Was this review helpful?
