I absolutely love this CD/DVD player. I use this bookshelf unit in a small room in our house, and it fills the room nicely. I attached our Sirius Stilletto to the unit's auxilary and that works beautifully as well. The sound quality of the JVC FSY-1 is capable of filling the adjacent rooms in case we have people over and want some background music. It is not, however, by any means super loud. The sound quality is very balanced, and the remote is easy to learn. I do wish that there was an option to program FM presets, but this is not enough of a negative to detract from its overall rating. All in all, I am very happy with this item, the price I paid for it and the sound quality that the unit puts out. Was this review helpful?

This stereo is the perfect size for a bedroom system. The setup is a breeze, and sound quality is more than adequate. Within 10 minutes I was listening to my favorite CD, and had plenty of sound with good quality. The only feature I have not tried yet is the DVD player, waiting for the new TV I am ordering. Ordered the unit based of prior reviews. Was skeptical about how good it would be at the price. Turned out to be an excellent sounding easy to use attractive small sized big sound system. We use it on a large screen porch and have never pushed it to volume distortions even when we "crank" it. I don't own Bose equipment so can't really compare but I think Bose would be hard pressed to beat the performance. Have thought about purchasing another unit or two for wedding gifts, etc. Was this review helpful?

This unit has some great features. The display is a bit limiting for MP3 playback if your title is too long.
The lack of EQ features leaves sound quality lacking a bit, but does not hurt the overall quality of this unit. It sounds good in most situations and great for the size!
The remote is sturdy and has full control of the unit. The DVD player does play just about anything and has plenty of connections for different types of setups.
The headphone jack is awkward, hiding behind the DVD drawer cover. Was this review helpful?

Not much to write other than to say it's a very nice product. Solidly built and stylish. On the small side, which is what I wanted. The speakers are not astounding but they crank up with enough volume and clarity for me. I live in an apartment and I can certainly disturb my neighbors with this unit. Haven't tested the video output yet but I have no reason to believe it won't be adequate. Great price. Really happy with the value for the cost. Was this review helpful?

I was very disapppointed with my TV speakers and could not enjoy a movie and had to crank it to hear much. I wanted something compact that I could move from room to room if needed and yet offer a clear and Theatre sound. This actually exceeded my expectations. Burned discs play with no problem, The remote is well laid out, The Radio is great, I could not ask for more.....excellent value!!! Was this review helpful?
