I bought this for a long car trip. I have a very large music collection. Radio has been taken over by corporate weasels so I needed something to take a lot of music with me. I have an iPod and a Gmini. But they both need attention, charging, hard to see while driving. Overall they are not a safe optimal solution. This JVC player is perfect. The wiring was easy, the directions were perfect. I found a site that told me how to get my radio out to wire up the antenna connection. There are only four wires, one of them the antenna connector. The unit works perfectly. I use it in random mode. I burned 12 MP3 CD's with 2000 songs on them. I loaded them in and they work perfectly. I can drive 8000 miles before I hear the same song twice. Overall, I love it.
