I completely agree with the previously posted positive feedback about this product. It has very good sound quality and volume for such a small unit--it's perfect for my small kitchen. It's no Bose, mind you, (bass is a bit shallow), but for the money, you absolutely cannot beat it. It's a modern-looking compact design, takes up very little counter space and coordinates nicely with my black and stainless appliances. I'd recommend it to a friend and would buy it again.

Though I never would have considered this speaker at the original price, it is a great value at the sale price. It is remarkably small, but puts out a decent amount of sound. Bass is predictably weak, but we weren't expecting it to boom. Fits great on the kitchen counter, filling the room with sound while taking very little room...all while charging the iPod. Since we've had this, the iPod has rarely left the cradle.

I am very impressed with the JBL On Stage II! It has great sound quality for the size of the system. It is very easy to use and transport around the house. I have an 8GB iPod nano and it docks in perfectly. I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a portable iPod player!

I feel this was a very good deal. JBL is a leader in sound products. It is small enough to sit on my dresser and charge my ipod and clear and loud enough to listen to.

I had this item in my cart for some time when it was around $80. Then it was selected as a special for $40. I snapped it up at that price. Unfortunately, the day it arrived, I had my 4th generation iPod stolen from my car. I have a 3rd generation iPod that I tried. I was able to find one of the adapters that would fit my 3rd gen even though it wasn't specifically listed for that model. There are adapters for 4th, 5th, previous Nano and Shuffle. There is also a cable adapter. The sound is much better, especially bass, than my previous cheap speaker and docking station. The remote is also nice.

This speaker has unusually great sound for something so small. It really fills up a room. A great buy for $40.

The base station works perfectly. Lots of adapter plates to allow every (?) iPod version to work this. I wish it would allow the iPhone's iPod element to play music, but it doesn't. My old iPod works just fine. The base unit has two volume controls right on front ... and they are very touch sensitive (which is good). My only complaint is with the remote control. The on/off switch didn't work on my model. To turn it on, I had to hold the little switch in place (very hard to do with such a tiny little unit). You can still play music by going to the unit and using the iPod interface, but the remote is an important part to have. I emailed JBL and they promised to send out a replacement unit. I haven't received it yet, but I hope that will do the trick.

I bought this for my iPhone even though it does not have the proper shielding to be called "iPhone compatible". It does get some interference noise from time to time but not as much as others I have used with it. I bought this unit for traveling and it definitely does the job of filling the room with exceptional sound for it's size with the added bonus of not having to bring along my charger. I took the remote and cut off the belt clip to make it smooth on the back side and now the remote fits snugly inside the center section for safe storage. I am very pleased with it especially at the sale price of $39!!! I would pay a fair amount more for it if I had to though. I used the free "slow boat" shipping to save even more and it arrived to me here in California in just 2 days. Way to go Buy.com!

This little JBL speaker is so compact yet the sound that comes out of it is amazing. The highs and mids are very crisp and the bass is not bad considering the size of the speakers. I would highly recommend this speaker for a office/kitchen environment.

I got this on sale from Buy.com.. Was a steal in my book. Any case I listen to the quality of the sound. It sounded good to great for the package size. It was missing out on some of the highs and lows, but it's range was still good. Considering it's such a small package, I was impressed. The remote I don't really consider that great. It works, but sometime I wonder. The volume buttons on the base is interesting.. looks like they employ contact sensing. One of the buttons on my stuck out a little more than the other button which to me seems to be either a poor design or badly place together. Not really noticeable unless you're really looking at it. All in all, I would purchase it again.. just wished it was capable of sitting sideways since the iPod Touch plays movies sideways.

I liked the portability of the speaker but it only lasted about 1 year. It's not like it was used every day either or mishandled. It was transported in the case. One day it worked fine & the next it had no sound when I turned it on. The lights came on but that's it.

I continue to be impressed with the performance of this system, given it's size. It has full, well detailed sound in a nice small package. It's also great to always have your ipod charged. You'll listen to more of your music if you buy one of these.

I bought mine on a special sale with free shipping and I love it! The remote works surprisingly well and the sound is excellent for the size. It fills my large basement bedroom with great sound, and is excellent for listening to podcasts.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it. She was not really using her IPod that much until she received this. She is not an earbud/headphone person. The sound is very good considering the size of the unit. She likes that it is small and moves it from room to room as she does things around the house. We both highly recommend it

Great product for the price. The remote is iffy; must use it several time for response and does not always work. However, for the price, the sound of the unit is great and compared to other products is excellent!!! I would definately recommend compared to other Ipod speaker products. Even my husband (the audio buff) commented on the sound!

Very nice sound, great little design. It won't kill you with bass, but has nice punchy sound for such small speakers. It has decent separation for the channels being so close together. Comes with an assortment or adapters for most ipods. Great little remote too.

Sometimes it turns on, most of the time, this thing is totally unresponsive. A total waste of money, even though it was cheap. Do not buy this thing !

I bought this product as a replacement for the exact same item I had before. I guess that says something about my satisfaction. It has great sound for very little money if you can catch it on sale. The volume control is a little frustrating because you are not pressing a button, but touching a spot and you have no visual representation of how loud or soft you are making the volume. Other than that, the item was exactly what I wanted at a great price. Shipping was reasonably priced and very fast. This is an excellent company -shop with confidence.

i have no problem with this speaker at all the sound is good enough if we compare to the size . but the bad thing for this speaker it haven't have the space for battery it mean we can not use it without pluge to the power......

I love this lil' thing. Just perfect for light listening. It has a clear crisp sound. If anyone is deciding to purchase this product, this isn't one of those music blaring speakers, but I got to admit for such a small thing it does have a bit of power in it.

This is a great deal on a very cool and good sounding ipod speaker but if you are looking to use with your iphone dont buy it! This message comes up not compatible with iphone and it wont charge the iphone while in the cradle. It will function but only on phones battery power. Still a GREAT speaker for regular ipods!!

This docking station is perfect for the small room iPod user. It is compact, light, sturdy and offers great ease of use and amazing sound. The remote functions flawlessly. It also travels well, so you can take it anywhere (Prague in my case). It doubled as my laptops' speaker system for movies and music while I was traveling. This is one of the best bangs for the buck I have ever purchased anywhere in the last 30 years of technology. If it had an audio out to head over to my larger stereo system when home...I might never leave! Kudos to the folks at JBL.

Excellent product, excellent value. The kids really like this product. I had an LCD TV with bad speakers and used this product hooked to the headphone jack input - worked great - and still works with the ipods too. Sound is great

JBL and Harmon group stands out in the speaker market. Though this unit is tiny, the sound is good enough for a big room. The other iPod speakers I have are big when compared to this. The soft touch sensitive volume up and down controls look neat. I wish they had an auto off feature. The remote does not have a wide range. But for the price, you cant get any better. Excellent purchase.

The docking station is very good. However, it would have been better, if it provided a storage holder for the remote. Although the company claims that it can work up to 50 feet away from the docking station, I have not found that to be so.

First, its a JBL product so the sound is very good. The device has a small footprint. It has a great look plus it's a good way to charge my IPod that was given to me by my daughter. An excellent buy.

I was looking at quite a few different iPod speaker systems. Even though I wanted to get a less expensive one, when this one went on sale I decided to go ahead and get it. I was extremely impressed with the sound quality of this small system and very glad I bought it! Now I'm debating getting another one!

The beautiful sounds of this small speaker and docking system will make an audiophile happy. The bass is rich and the highs are clear. It also gives a great way to charge and sync with your computer. There may be better products out there, but not for this kind of money.

I have owned the the JBL on stage V1 for 3 years and never had a problem. The new version is much better, it now has a remote to control volume, skip, play pause etc... The remote works good, you must point directly at the unit. One word of advice, Do not blast these speakers at full volume they will rip. My daughter blew hers out, so I purchased this one and gave her my old one :)

Really good sound for the size of the system. Not going to shake the room, but at "normal" volume levels, the sound is very good. I replaced an older 3-piece speaker system with the JBL and it is a vast improvement in aesthetics. Got rid of all those unsightly wires, headphone connectors, etc. Now just the one small JBL On Stage. Now use it in the dining room and it does not detract from the decor. Only con is that the remote is rather weak - works, but not from the distance I had hoped. Bonus is that the unit charges the iPod while connected. So unless I'm transferring music, I don't need to power up the computer to charge the iPod via USB. Very nice. Overall, very satisfied with the purchase & buy.com offered a great price and very fast free shipping.

I was a little weary ordering the unit without actually hearing it. When I got it I was kind of expecting to be just ok with the unit sound, so I plugged it in and selected the heaviest songs I could play on it and was amazingly surprised. Playing the heaviest rock it came through crystal clear and didn't distort at all. I've heard complaints of tinny sound, and I have a background in home audio and don't see any problems with the sound. I would have to compare it to the Bose system hands down. I have it in a central room in the house and it fills that floor with enough sound. The remote is a little intermittent, but for the price I'll take it. Also, I was worried about the adapter complaints being the size of a brick....not even close, it's nothing to worry about. I just ordered a second for my girlfriend. Also, I selected the free shipping and ended up getting it in less than 24 hours!!
