This miniseries is adapted from P.D. James's popular novel of the same name and features Commander Adam Dalgliesh, the popular protagonist from many of James's previous books. Here, Dalgliesh's visit to a teaching hospital proves to be almost prophetic when two nurses are murdered shortly after he arrives. Never one to allow a murderer any leeway, Dalgliesh immediately puts his formidable investigative skills to use and sets out to find the killer.
