5 of 5 Great Full Sound Wednesday, December 24, 2008
john from pa

Fills your room with terrific sound for very little money, works with all MPS players. This does not have that cheap IHOME sound, this is a quality unit.

5 of 5 This thing is awesome! Saturday, April 05, 2008
A Customer from Dallas, Texas
Once in a while I get a purchase that blows my socks off. This item works perfect, looks great and sounds great. AND I got it much less then what it is listed at now. Super easy to use and again, the sound is wonderful. I use it with my Zune and my girlfriend loves it for her ipod. Just awesome!

5 of 5 Big bang, little buck... Sunday, February 17, 2008
A Customer from Fort Mill, SC
This is the third, and last, speaker for my Ipod I will buy. The difference was obvious before I even plugged it in. The device feels like a real speaker, and the sound didn't disappoint either. I had previously purchased smaller systems promising great sound, and came up empty in two attempts. Great product for the money. Highly recommended.

5 of 5 GOOD Sound ! Wednesday, February 13, 2008
vanessa from new york, ny
this product has pretty good speakers and is very sleek and stylish . people have commented on it when they see it in my house. my main reason for getting it was to plug my windows mobile phone into it but unfortunately it was'nt compatible with it, i knew there would be a chance that it wouldnt be compatible with all phones but i took a risk any way. I used it for my zune instead. so yeah i love it. so far its great. great price too. real fast shipping.

4 of 5 ok for less than $50 Sunday, February 03, 2008
scott g from Fort Myers, Florida
Not quite portable for travel. Decent bass, lacks midrange, but can be tweaked with equalizer. When the price was less than $50, it was a good value.

4 of 5 It's ok for the price. Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Good: Value for the money Bad: Does not recharge on the cradle and sound is not as loud as I would like it. Ok for one medium size room.

1 of 5 Don't bother Tuesday, January 29, 2008
A Customer from Tenafly NJ
The price is so low because this is garbage. You won't return it because of the associated costs. Reading the reviews I get the impression that some customers are reviewing a different product. The bottom line is that the sound is awful. Perhaps there is a gross variation between individual devices.

4 of 5 Nice One-unit Speaker Solution Tuesday, January 29, 2008
A Customer from Denver, Colorado
I'm using my Jabra S5010 primarily as a portable DVD player extension speaker right now, and it's certainly freed me from the headphones and the crappy speakers in the DVD player. Sounds terrific, when properly placed. It does throw out quite an interference field, however, so using it with a radio is pretty much moot. A version with a remote would also be an improvement.

2 of 5 Great sound quality, HORRIBLE max volume Tuesday, January 29, 2008
Rahul from Arvada, CO
I bought these speakers to replace my portable kensington speakers (which used just a usb connection) as they didn't sound all that loud. I thought that since these were like 30w and used external power they'd sound much louder. But, to my disgust these are barely louder than my kensington speakers. Yea, sound quality wise they are way ahead. Just a couple of days ago I was watching a movie off a dvd on my laptop and at max volume I couldn't hear almost anything when playing the movie in cyberlink powerdvd. I have to use vlc media to get decent volume out of it (for some reason vlc does give a higher volume than other media players). I don't think I'd buy this again even if it were selling for 10 bucks.

4 of 5 Expected More...but not bad anyway Friday, January 25, 2008
brntorange from san antonio, tx
The Jabra 5010 with klipsch speakers is as advertised...very versitile with regards to connecting to various media due to the included cables. That being said, there is very little room to store the cable in use, and the rubble used to cover the storage area is not very secure. As far as sound goes...if it didn't have the klipsch name I wouldn't have been disappointed, unfortunately if you are familiar with klipsch products, this leaves you wondering why they would have put their name on this...average is not what klipsch is about. No way is this a $200 product, but for $40-$50 you probably will be satisfied with this product.

3 of 5 Sounds great. Low price. Easy to use Friday, January 25, 2008
A Customer from Hope Valley, RI
I was essentially buying this for a 5 year old with a non-ipod MP3 player. Why an MP3 play for a 5 year old you ask? Because he keeps scratching his CD's. All the universal speakers out there were either $10 and sound horrible or over $100. The price was that reason I bought this. Plus the fact that, in theory, it could recharge my Sansa e250. The Sansa recharges via USB and USB only. This thing has a female mini USB port for charging and adapters to connect it to other mini USB devices. There's no adapter to make it a full size female USB port which the Sansa needs. So, I'm out of luck on the charging side. Because of this, i'd send it back if there wasn't a 15% restocking fee. The sound is fantastic and we do have a battery operated MP3 player so he's using it with that until I can find an adapter.

5 of 5 Nice sound and nice looking Thursday, January 24, 2008
JR from NYC, NY
I own a CTA round speaker system that I use at work. It okay for background music as it it is a noisy office, Sound quality does not matter much. I wanted a speaker system for my kitchen. Mood music while I get creative! I searched Buy.com and stopped by this item Jabra S5010 Klipsch Stereo Speaker many times. After reading many reviews I bought it. As soon as I pressed enter Fed Ex was there. (The next day!) As I took it out the box I admired the workmanship it didn't sit flat on the table but on a pedastal. What were all those wires?! I soon sorted them out. And plugged it in. I own a Creative zen sleek photo 20GB. My taste varies. First came War a bass driven funky group. the bass was not earth shattering but is was crisp and sharp. Next Chris Botti the horn solo was breath taking and filled the kitchen. Then a string quartet, just beautiful, the voilins sweet and high with no distortion. You will have to adjust your equalizer inside your MP3 to appreciate the sound this speaker system puts out.I love it. Just wish it had a remote!

3 of 5 Disappointed! Wednesday, January 23, 2008
jesangt from Greensburg, PA
This speaker had pretty good reviews so my expectations were pretty high. I bought this for my wife to plug her MP3 player into. We were using Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers in our kitchen. This sounded great, but we weren't crazy about seeing a subwoofer in our kitchen. After reading the reviews, I thought this unit may take it's place...wrong! There was no "kick" to the base and the unit simply doesn't get loud enough. My Altec Lansing PC speakers and my wife's boom box from the 90's put the Jabra to shame. Maybe this is an OK deal for $47.00, but this just wasn't what I was looking for. It may be OK at an office where you would have a low volume, but if you want to jam avoid this unit. I am sending it back 2 days after getting it and now have to pay S&H plus the restocking fee. Keep that in mind...you have to pay 15% restocking fee if you are not satisfied. One positive, unbelievably fast shipping. I received it the next day (PA).

5 of 5 Fantastic deal . . . fantastic product Monday, January 21, 2008
Darlene from Portland, Oregon
My three kids each have an iPod, but my husband and I both have Rio Carbons. I was looking for a product to put in my kitchen that has good sound and would play music from any mp3 player, not just iPods. We ended up buying two of these (one for the kitchen and one for our bedroom). We're all super impressed. They're smaller than my daughter's iHome unit, and the sound quality is great. The unit can play much louder than any of us thought we would ever need also. If I had to choose a negative, it would be the instructions. They're skimpy! My advice? Hook up the power cord to the transformer box, then patiently try to figure out which of the other cables (three or four) you're going to need for your player. The unit does not charge the iPods, but it does charge anything with a firewire connection (including our Rio Carbons). This is one of those times when "you get what you pay for" does not fit. These units are worth much more than we paid for them.

3 of 5 Very disapointed with this speaker Monday, January 21, 2008
A Customer from San Francisco, CA
After reading all the positive reviews, I went ahead order the speaker. The shipment was fast, got it in 3 days. That's about it. Pro: good looking speaker, OK bass. Con: soft default volume. muffed sound. Conected ipod nano to it, the default sound level was very soft, I had to turn up the volume to hear the music. I have to turn up the volume every time I power it off. It doesn't remember the last volume level. ;-( I tried with my Nokia 5300 music phone, the connectors didn't work. No sound comes out the speaker. ;-( I see why it is only selling for $40-$50. This is what it worth.

5 of 5 EXCELLENT PRODUCT ! Saturday, January 19, 2008
Blackrock from Brooklyn,New York
This happens to be an excellent product for various reasons. Firstly, the KLIPSCH name is what made me give the speaker con- sideration.I currently own Klipsch bookshelf, center, full range, and subwoofers-and i have not been disappointed. Some of the speakers were purchased 15 years ago, and they're still going strong. Secondly, the speaker does exactly what the manufacturer says.I connected it to my cell phone, computer, cd, receiver,mp3 player, and about anything else that i could connect it to.The speaker performed well with each connection.Don't expect the speaker to shake your house, because other equipment on the market will do just that.If you want to disturb your neighbors, you'll have to power up the high end master system. This speaker is intended for personal room space use without the headphones. Thirdly, for value, performance, ease of use, simplicity, and overall satisfaction, this is the unit to purchase. Buy.Com sells this speaker for a groundball $46.00.if you do a search, you'll soon discover that other merchants charge 3-5 times as much. As with the purchase of any product,do your homework and use the search engine.Use the speaker for what it was designed for and you will be very happy. Note: I purchased 3 of these speakers.

5 of 5 Big Sound in a Small Package Tuesday, January 15, 2008
renee from haughton, la
Knowing that I was getting a Creative Zen for Christmas, I caught this product at a decent price somewhere just under $ 50 and snapped it up based on the reviews that I had seen. It was exactly what I was expecting. I've got a fairly small living room and it fills the room with crisp, clear sound. Need to Improve... It's not as loud as I'd like at max volume. There are no equalizer controls. No way to hide the cords. Would like it to charge my device(s).

4 of 5 KLIPSCH...How can you go wrong? Monday, January 14, 2008
Kenny D. from Schererville, IN
Sounds awesome. Just as good as the Klipsch Igroove I own at a fraction of the price. It uses the same drivers. I bought this one for my office at work. The only draw back is that it does not charge my ipod. Should have read the description better, my fault. I do like though that my computer can be hooked up to it at the same time. It has dual inputs which is a nice feature.

5 of 5 Excellent for the price! Monday, January 14, 2008
Lebritch from Rockford, IL
This is a great speaker system for the $50 I paid for it. I don't know if I would have paid more than $100 though. The only problem I have with it is that there is no remote control! Other than that, it is worth the deal they have out there now. Hooked portable DVD player and mp3 player too and both had awesome sound!

4 of 5 Nice Speaker Thursday, January 10, 2008
A Customer from Monterey, California
This is a nice portable speaker system for an MP3 player. The sound is not five speakers, but for a small portable system it's pretty good. The only thing that I find annoying is the two part power cord. This hinders portability--a small quibble, but a quibble nonetheless. On the other hand this speaker has the Swiss Army knife of connector options to hook up to an MP3 player, a cell phone, iPod, juice can and wax string, whatever you have it probably can be connected. This is a ten for me because I am frustrated by all the iPod only speakers out there. Oh and the price--well this is the best deal I've seen since the Louisiana Purchase.

5 of 5 Great value with lightening quick shipping Friday, January 04, 2008
Craig from Beverly Hills, MI
I am generally very skeptical of these type of discount items, but I was looking for something small that I could play my Ipod out loud when I traveled. I have owned Klipsch speakers for 20 years so I had some confidence in the product due to the name. The unit has very good sound for the size and price of the unit. I was planning on spending $250 for a Bose unit, but this was 1/5 the cost. What really amazed me was how quick it arrived. I ordered it at 10:00 am on Dec 20th and it was at my front door when I arrived at 2:00 PM the following day. This was with standard, no cost shipping. I am a believer!

3 of 5 Not Disappointed Thursday, January 03, 2008
D. Thomas from San Diego, CA
This is a good product. Average sound. Since it was priced under $50, this was a good value. I use it with a Creative Sleek Photo 20GB MP3 player and it works well, just plug it into the headphone jack. Works well in an office environment, bedroom, kitchen, or backyard patio (with power outlet avail). Bass response is fine, Treble could be a little brighter. I can always adjust the equalizer on my MP3 player. Speaker efficiency is just ok. Not going to suffer any hearing damage from this unit. So for $50, I'm happy.

4 of 5 Jabra Review Thursday, January 03, 2008
KNM from Bloomington, IL
I purchased this item at a special pre-Christmas price of $50.00 (Buy.com). It is worth that amount, but not much more. I use it with a Sansa Sandisk e280 using a mini plug which was included with this device. The sound quality is OK - nothing special - not "THX" or audiophile quality by any means, but I knew that when i purchased it. It connects easily to the Sansa, and it plays music at quiet and medium levels well, but too loud and you get distortion. All in all, definitely worth $50.

5 of 5 Great little unit. Thursday, January 03, 2008
A Customer from Janesville, WI
Great sounding little set of stereo speakers. A little lacking in the bass department but you can't ask for much out of something this small. Still has quite of bit of bass for such a small unit. Adequate loudness for quiet environment, but would be hesitant about listening to in a noisy environment. Despite what you might read elsewhere this is a true stereo unit. Great deal when on sale. You can't go wrong with Klipsch.

5 of 5 This works perfectly with my HTC Touch Thursday, January 03, 2008
Chance from Carthage, MO
I love this device. I bought this for myself hoping it would work well with my HTC Touch and it works perfectly. I needed to use one of the adapters that came with my HTC and read the directions carefully, but when I got it connected and docked my phone it was like they were made for each other. The sound is great and as a bonus, I can still plug my laptop in to listen to it as well.

2 of 5 Jabra S5010 Wednesday, January 02, 2008
rms9356 from NY
be careful with this product. If you think that you are getting a true stereo with 2 speakers in it you are wrong. The only way I found out about this was listening with my Creative Zen and noticing that one of the songs with distinct seperation between vocals and music eliminated the vocal part, so it almost sounded as if you are listening to karaoke. It really only contains one speaker. this is really a good sounding mono system, not a stereo.

5 of 5 The Bose Wave Radio Killer! Wednesday, January 02, 2008
A Customer from Vernon, CT
I bought this on sale before Christmas as a gift. I've always had Klipsch speakers everywhere, my home theater, my computer speakers, my headphones, everything. And this was no disappointment. If you're looking for big sound on a small budget for your iPod or MP3 player, look no further than this unit. While it lacks features of other similar units (like no radio or alarm clock built-in, no remote, no charging capability for your MP3 player/cell phone), it makes up for it in big, clear, full-range sound. Highs and lows stay crisp and clear throughout all volume levels. Virtual surround-sound effect is very efficient. If you turn this unit up, and close your eyes, you won't even be able to tell where the unit is placed, as the sound seams to come from all around you, no matter where you are in the room. Just make sure you place it on a solid table top without any objects on it that can rattle, because they will distort the sound. Though not earth-shaking, for its size, the bass response is pretty impressive as well. Can be connected to virtually any MP3 player or any other source, such as your home stereo, computer, etc. Included adapters allow you to connect virtually any cell phone, MP3 player, portable CD player, or computer audio output. Definitely worth every penny.

5 of 5 Excellent value, great sound Thursday, December 27, 2007
A Customer from Winfield, KS
I recently received my Jabra S5010 Klipsch speakers that I paired with a Sandisk Sansa mp3 player. For the money, you cannot beat these speakers on value alone; they are easily $100-150 at an electronic retail store. They have plenty of input choices, come with a wide variety of cables and have an extra audio in to connect a separate device like a cd player. The only downside to this speaker system is the rubber blanking covers that seem to be easy to loose. This is a MINOR ding- I would not hesitate for one moment to buy a solid speaker system for under $50!

Pros: Sound quality is excellent for the size and price. My iPod and Blackberry look nice in the cradle. Cons: The only control is volume (no tone controls). Also, it would have been nice to integrate a charging capability with adapters for common devices. If you want to charge your device, you have to plug the device's charger in separately and route the wire through the speaker. Notes: This was an excellent value for the price I paid (which was under sixty), but I wouldn't purchase this speaker for its list price, or even at the price most other stores appear to be selling it.

4 of 5 Great value Thursday, December 27, 2007
A Customer from Portland, Maine
For the price of this item you really get a good product. It is fairly small and easy to move around from room to room. I hooked it up to my krzr right away and it sounded great! The only compliant I have is that can't turn up the volume very loud.

5 of 5 Great Sound for a simple device Wednesday, December 26, 2007
Dennis from Chesapeake beach, MD
I bought this to pair up with my REFURB Sansa e260(great player at a great price, especially if you hate the iPOD hype)In two minutes I had the Jabra up and jamming! The sound is better than I expected for a universal dock. Of course it is not a Bose and if you think that a $48 piece will get you there, well... It only has 3 buttons, a power and volume +/- Well worth the money. Fills my kitchen with all of the depth and volume I need, without eating up counter space. Plus it is very clean looking. I would say get one if you want to expand your MP3 player or MP3 phone past the earbuds. I enjoy, and hope you do too! Oh yeah, the shipping was lightning fast, I had it 36 hours after I ordered, and that was standard ground shipping. D

5 of 5 I really like this little unit Wednesday, December 26, 2007
D.O. from Champaign, IL
I paid $60 shipped for this thru buy.com... and was so pleased with it that I ordered another one for my son. The retail is $199, which is way over-priced. But, for what I paid it is well worth it. Small form factor, great sound (bought it because I have all Klipsch in my home), and easy to use. I wish it had a built in docking station so I could charge my MP3 player while in the device.

5 of 5 One word: FABULOUS Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Tami from Zanesville, Ohio
I'm so impressed with the sound quality. I put the Jabra in the corner of my living room (as the easy-to-read, quite brief manual suggested) and people actually looked for the hidden speakers. And kudos to Buy.com. I ordered kind of late thinking it wouldn't be such a huge deal if this came after Christmas, but it came Christmas Eve - just in time for my large family to enjoy the holiday with great music.

4 of 5 It's not a BOSE !! Monday, December 24, 2007
Edward at yahoo from Cohoes, N.Y.
I received my today and hooked it up tp my Mogul phone through the mini USB port and included USB cable to play the music I downloaded. To my disappointment, it wouldn't work. I had to use the mini jack adapter to get it to work. Also , though the sound is decent... it is not a BOSE. However for the price, it is not bad at all. But what's up with the USB port? It's supposed to work like the rest of the device.

5 of 5 Great sound for the money Monday, December 24, 2007
Warren D from Lake Worth, FL
For the price, you can't beat the sound from this speaker system. I was very surprised by the weight of the unit, it is very heavy for its size. The only drawback is that it does not support the native ipod like input, you have to use the headphone jack. If you want to charge it you have to also plug your own power adapter to your mp3 or Ipod. My wife has an 80GB Ipod Video and I have a Sansa E260. They both sound awsome.

5 of 5 Owns it's corner...Excellent quality all around Friday, December 21, 2007
OnticLogos from Baton Rouge, LA
I've always heard good thingsabout Klipsch speakers, and I must say I was not disappointed with these. I bought it for my 550 sq. ft. apartment, and despite it's size, I'm satisfied with the volume. It also connected very neat and flush with my cell phone or iPod, so it looks pretty snazzy. Everything about the unit screams quality...it's heavier and much better constructed than the iPod speakers you'll find heavily discounted at your local drugstore. It sounds very full. I feel that I essentially got a Bose stand-alone speaker for about 1/3 the price. It comes with all the connectors you'll need to connect a cell phone or MP3 player: (1) 2.5 mm miniplug (cellphone standard (2) 3.5 mm miniplug (most MP3 players including iPod) (3) mini USB (some portable devices). To avoid confusion, know the connectors are not neatly arranged wafers that neatly cradle, say, your iPod...it would be impossible to be multiformat that way without an over-sized cradle. But there are rubber gaskets that keep the wires that connect to the MP3 player hidden from view. While I'm not sure this would fill up more than my 550 sq. ft. apartment, it sounds fantastic and carries it's weight very well for its compact size. A++

4 of 5 Great Sound but Lousy Documentation Saturday, December 15, 2007
Len from Wichita Kansas
Speaker sounds great but won't do all I expected. Wanted a true docking station for my new Creative Zen but looks like all it is, is a speaker. I don't think I can use it to recharge/power my Zen although it has a USB cable. Instructions (and on-line documentation) are misleading and no help at all. Kind of wished I had waited for a dedicated docking station from Creative Labs but I doubt if they will sound as good as this so I will keep the Jabra S5010.

5 of 5 Move over Bose... Friday, December 14, 2007
Dave from Glendale, Arizona
I have nor will I ever be moved to purchase anything from Bose. With that being said, now that Bose has gotten into the portable speaker assembly for the iPod, they can also take a back seat next to the Jabra S5010. The Klipsch speakers 'fill the room with sound' better than the Bose does. Smooth, clean, full range response. Just picking up the unit you realize the quality that went into the making of this wonderful piece. At this price, its a STEAL! Don't let this one slip by you. Needless to say if I had to choose between the money I spent on this unit, and the same amount monthly for a year for a Bose... pffft, please, no contest.
