First of all, I think this microphone has good quality audio. I bought it to use with the "4 Track" app that allows you to record and layer 4 tracks to make a complete demo song directly on the iPhone. I hooked it up and ran the app, but suddenly got a large amount of feedback. Of course, I went straight for my headphones so that the feedback loop would stop. However, the microphone is TOO BIG to allow a normal set of headphones to fit in the headphone jack. Yes I could turn down the audio, but the point of a four track recorder is to let you record a layer over other tracks. You pretty much need to hear what's going on for that. So, this device was useless to me until I filed down the side of it. After that, the headphones plugged in nicely, and I love the mic. They could have easily molded it to give room for headphones, but I suppose they didn't for the sake of symmetry. Not too bright. The insides are good at least.
