Check mopping off your to-do list with the Scooba 5800. iRobot's newest floor washing robot is the ideal choice for smaller floor areas, cleaning up to 250 feet on a single battery charge. Scooba uses a specially formulated Clorox Scooba cleaning solution and leaves floors clean. Safe to use on all sealed hardwood, tile and linoleum flooring.4-stage cleaning process:
Preps - picks up loose sand, crumbs and dirt.
Washes - only puts down fresh, clean solution as it cleans.
Scrubs - gently scrubs your floor, removing dirt, grime and spills.
Dries -picks up dirty solution, leaving floors clean and dry.

IMPORTANT: Scooba is not recommended for use on unfinished or unsealed hard floor surfaces which may be damaged by water (an unsealed floor does not contain a coat of polyurethane to protect the sub flooring from water damage). Additionally, Scooba is not safe for use with some laminate wood flooring, which may be damaged by wet cleaning methods. Scooba is also not designed for use on carpet, rugs, or unsealed stone floors.

5 of 5 useful robot fun Monday, January 19, 2009
douglas from venice, florida

i was impressed with how clean my tiles were and how good the coverage was. i am unable to use a regular swiffer jet so i am thrilled there is something out there that works for me. the vinegar for cleanner was so cheap, but filling and dumping the old stuff reminds me of the steam cleaners on a mini 1/10th scale.

4 of 5 A neat time saver with a limited lifespan Monday, December 29, 2008
Jordan from Bellows Falls, VT
I've owned a Scooba for 2 years and have been very pleased with it's cleaning performance. It does a more diligent job than nearly any non-robot floor mopper I've ever met. That said it does have a few shortcomings. - The set-up and clean-up take 5-7 minutes total. - The battery life allows for 2 cleaning cycles when you open the package, but this declines down to 1 cycle within 6 months. A replacement battery should be planned for. - My own experience has shown that the lifespan of the robot coincides with the warranty period, or 1 year. Purchasing it with an American Express may be a good tactical move to get an additional year of their coverage. Just a thought (wink). - Repairing a Scooba is impractical if not under warranty, is prohibitively expensive. Just buy a new one and keep the old bot around for parts. Even with all of these things taken into consideration, I own a Scooba and do recommend it to friends (and web-reviews). Your house will be cleaner and your cats will have something to ride around on.

5 of 5 Scooba Wednesday, June 25, 2008
A Customer from OKC, OK
I LOVE my scooba. I have 2 dogs and a cat, so my floors need to be scrubbed almost daily. I run the scooba as I leave and when I get home, the floors are clean and dry with out touching any of the carpet! You won't beleive how well it picks up dirt! You do have to clean all the filters and brush regularly.

5 of 5 I love my scooba Monday, June 09, 2008
A Customer from buffalo, ny
Once I learned how to properly maintain and clean my scooba, i am really satisfied with it. I set it off every morning before i leave for work and it does a fine job at mopping. certainly not as good as you can do by mop, but it is a fine time saver.

I love this machine!!!! It is very simple to use and to clean. It does a very good job and I use it at least three times a week. I also have the Roomba and love it as well. I usually use it twice a day.
