iRobot Roomba Scheduler 4296 - Factory Recertified - Limited Stock!

I have been totally amazed at how well this vacuum works. I was pretty skeptical when I ordered it. I have 2 dogs and a cat, and also live on somewhat of a mini-farm where dirt and grass get tracked in all the time. My floors have never been so dirt free. I use it mostly in the kitchen/dining room on the hardwood floors with throw rugs. Sometimes the Roomba gets stuck on the edge of a rug, but knows how to work itself free. It is really quite an amazing vacuum. I have had it for over a month now. I have it set to vacuum twice per week. It does its job, then puts itself back on the charger. I just empty the dirt cup. Thank you for the wonderful product. I hope it lasts forever!

looked clean and fresh out of the box, only tiny scratches, all accessories looked brand new. i have several roombas, and this one has been running faithfully everyday. i was impressed by the quality of the refurbishing and the value of the package. would buy more but it's out of stock now!

Very good design. Able to go under furniture and get to all the hard to reach spots. Good battery life. Remember to keep an eye on the iRobot filling up with dirt.

I wasnt sure what to expect purchasing a recertified product. I honestly have to say that roomba exceeded my expectations by far. I'll reconsider recertified products from now on. I had read some reviews saying how loud it was & that wasnt the case at all. In fact, its alot quieter than a regular vacuum. Its also way more thorough than a human! The only thing i would change is the appearance. It has some wear & tear, some scratches & fading. That is to be expected though. All & all, the best money I've spent in along time.

Before I bought my roomba last Jan. I read all the reviews it really help me in making my decision. Many pet owners loved the unit for collecting dog and cat hair in my case a cat and let me tell you IT WORKS GREAT!!! I use it three time a week even when their is hardly any hair to pick I LOVE IT. So go ahead a get yourself a Roomba. Oh yeah I name my robot NO HAIR :) Mikey V

We have a bulldog that sheds terribly. I purchased the iRobot, named Shelly by my 4 year old, almost 2 months ago and I am totally amazed at the job that she does. I have her programmed to go off everyday and my carpet has brightened up so much that everyone thinks I just had it professionally cleaned. The suction is amazing, with running it everyday I have something in the dust pan each night. I even run her in the kitchen on the vinyl floor and it almost looks like it's been scrubbed after. I'm thinking about getting the scooba now. Don't hesitate - buy this now.

This machine is the best thing I have found since becomming single. I set it in a different room each day. When I come home that room has been cleaned. All it takes is a little prep time to move tassel rugs. I love it and would buy a second one.

I was impressed with how well the Roomba cleaned my floors. It even leaves my foors with a shine! I do recommend this product to anyone who has a busy life. I'll turn it on before I leave for work so when I come home the floors are clean. Or schedule it to run when ever I want.

Actually u have to do corners. But otherwise its awesome, cleaning out the the bin more often is needed, eliminates & entertains while cleaning. Truly gets areas u wouldn't, like under furniture.

I brought a recertified one and using this more for our living room which looks lot cleaner than before. The only problem is it won't do 100% vacuuming and leaves out some areas.

I freely admit that. This device, once you set up the scheuler and remove the things that the device can get hung up on, will vacume the carpet for you and do a good job. My house is also a cluttered and has a very unique floorplan. I've had it about two weeks and have it on a Tuesday and Friday schedule. I run it while I am at work and for the most part it has made it back to the charger OK. There was one time where it got hung up. The virtual walls are good to keep it from places you think it should not go because it's pretty ingenious about getting around obstacles you may have set up to confine it's path. As said it does not like tassels, wires or stringy things. I can't wait for robots to help me with other aspects of my life!

Well, this will be my 2nd review but probably won't be my last...because I bought (5) of these ROOMBA's!!!! I bought the first one for myself. My mother-in-law saw how great it worked so I bought one for her too, a few weeks later. She is a CLEAN freak and still could not believe how much dust and dirt this machine picked up even after she had finished cleaning her house! Then my aunt's went to her house and saw her Roomba and asked about it. She explained what it did and both of them wanted one too...so, I bought 2 more! I programmed the schedule for them and they too love the ROOMBA. Now my 3rd aunt also saw the Roomba in action and now wanted one too so...I bought my 5th Roomba for her which I am now waiting for in the mail. I love my Roomba and so does my whole family! I would highly recommend getting one at this great price!

I had reviewed this on Jan 22 2008 as "Never has Worked", well after Irobot sent me a new battery it works great. I'll have to give it five stars. Works best on hardwoods and tile. It's fair on carpet.

Absolutely thrilled with this item.. I have been looking at the Roomba for some time now but was reluctant based on its cost. Then I found the reconditioned ones on Buy.com and thought the price was reasonable enough to give it a try. I have two black Labs and they spend most of the day in one room, the living room. I have the house cleaned professionally once every two weeks and decided I would try it right after it was cleaned. Imagine my surprise when within hours of having the house professionally cleaned, the Roomba picked up even more!! Now I have it scheduled to run every night after we go to bed. When I get up in the morning, the carpet is vacuumed. Even the cleaning woman remarked how much better it looked when she came two weeks after her last visit and I had run it every night. I definitely recommend getting a model with the scheduler so you can run it when you are sleeping and not have to deal with it during the day.. great item!!!

Bottom line, great value if you want a Roomba and understand what it does .... and does not do. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and it seems like you are supposed to section off a room or 2 each time. So my question is how do you use this thing without having to move the charger, base virtual walls, and roomba itself to whatever part of the house? That seems impratical, so now I am letting the little guy roam while I am at work and it is working pretty good. Fantastic value though!

You can't beat this discount although it is a refurbished item. I've found any refurbished product ever purchased to function the same as new product and feel the same when you open it.

What's not to love about a robot that does your dirtiest job for you? I already had one Scheduler and thought if one is good, two must be better. It is! This is my second one and I love them. Like most, and even after reading rave reviews, I was at first a bit skeptical about the cleaning job such a little round thing would do. You see, I am a bit of a neat freak, and I have a kitty. All that was laid to rest after I got the first one. They clean great! And they love to clean, it's good for the battery, so use your Roomba often! It's humbling to see that little blue light come on when they find a little extra "dirt" that you wouldn't even notice :). But the more you use them, the less the blue light comes on, they do THAT good of a job. Remember to clean the brushes and empty the bin often. I do that at every cleaning. The design and technology are simply brilliant, going under beds and furniture... The price on BUY.COM was the best, even better than ebay. Remanufactured (NOT refurbished) is the way to go! And the service at BUY.COM is consistent, the shipping fast. Also iRobot has good support, if you press them on the issue. I needed a new battery for my first one, and after a few persistent emails, I got one. No complaints at all here, very happy gal :)

I thought the Roomba would be like a gimmick. Not at all. We have four dogs and all but one of them shed horribly. I got a Scooba and a Roomba for Christmas and have since added two more Roombas and can't wait to find a good deal for the fourth. I use them everyday, sometimes twice a day. The dust and dander are at a minimum and housekeeping is so much easier. I highly recommend this product.

I'd considered iRobots before but the price discouraged me. A coworker bought two iRobots. Then I ordered two of my own, one for upstairs and another for downstairs. I'd hoped that they would look the same but they sent me two different colors, one three-button and one four-button. But they work the same so that's OK. It is fun to watch how the iRobot operates. It's wheels lock when it senses the top of the stairs. It stops so fast that it's rear end lifts off the carpet but it just keeps going in another direction. It goes under beds and the couch where it's hard to clean otherwise. After a few weeks of use, I now often turn them on when I leave for work and they're usually setting in their charger stations when I return. If the battery runs down while it's in another room, it will just shut down where it sets and I have to put it back on the charger. My co-worker had a problem with one unit and a replacement was sent quickly. He said that he was pleased with their customer service. His only complaint is that the replacement has a different color bin than body.

Love it ! Love it! Love it! It has changed my life. I don't have to worry about vacuuming my tile floors or my carpeted floors. I put it on a schedule and it goes all by itself. I have bought two roomba's. One for the carpeted upstairs and one for the tiled downstairs. When I am upstairs I let the downstairs roomba run and when I go downstairs I let the upstairs roomba run. It's great and gets the corners and everything. Especially great for under my king sized bed which I am unable to move. Cleans all the pet hair that is underneath it. You won't be sorry you ordered it.

Bought it for Christmas. It works great. Easy to program the virtual walls and schedule weekly cleaning. I have a landing that devides the kitchen from the living room and at first I thought this thing was going to take a fall, but that's what the virtual walls are for and you just place them where you don't want the Roomba to go and it works. I just would like for it to have come with more than just two virtual walls. I need to put virtual walls in more than just 2 places while it cleans a certain part of the house, so I end up improvising and putting up all sorts of objects that the Roomba can't push past or maneuver around. I have a real shaggy area rug that the Roomba doesn't get stuck on, but it considerably slows it down, and the instructions advise against it cleaning shagy rugs so I tend to put virtual walls around that too. It only got stuck once beacuse I forgot to remove the bathroom rug when I placed it in one of the bathrooms. The only complaint I have is that it's really loud and noisy. It needs a silencer then it will be perfect. There's always someone here, the elderly parents, but whenever they do leave, I turn it on and let it go to work. I suppose for most people who work and leave it on and program it while they're out of the house the noise will not be an issue. I clean the Roomba every three cleanings just like the instructions say, and this keeps it picking up great. Overall I'm very satisfied. It cuts my cleaning time in half. I would definately recommend it.

This is my 5th ROOMBA. Sounds crazy but I love them !.. and I love my Dog ! Before owning my first ROOMBA I used to schedule Mondays for House Cleaning. Half of the day was gone between sweeping and mopping. Then we got a DOG ! ... Mondays were not enough and my life was ruined. Besides the dog we had a 4 yr old and she used to dump the rice bowl in my shiny floors at dinner. I saw myself in front of the mirror crying several times and the stress was total. My husband said he had to do something about it and by Thanksgiving 2006 he decided to give ROOMBA a try. Right after the Thanksgiving weekend I was already sold. He gave me 2 more for Xmas 2006. There is a lot of trash, dust, hair, dirt, etc, that comes out with a broom BUT my house was never as clean as it is now with my ROOMBAS. I have 2 schedulers, one dirt dog, one red and one discovery... I call them my cleaning army and they are on call every third day. We also own 2 Scoobas and the house is ALWAYS spotless. You can not even tell we have a dog. Sure you have to take good care of them, sure you have to love your soldiers : Clean the Dust bin after each use, clean the brushes weekly, replace filters and brushes every 4 months and never let them run over water... not even water drops. If your charger is not working correctly it also needs to be cleaned... just clean the metal contacts with a pencil eraser. I have been using them for over a year and they have never let me down. Try them... they will change your life ! The schedulers are set to work while I am not at home. They are like cleaning ghosts because I never see them working, I just enjoy the results.

I have 2 Roomba and I am very happy about the product, I bought 2 more for my other sisters and I am on the way to pick up the 5th one for my brother. All of us don't really enjoy vacuuming. the central vacuum become a cleaning tool for my 2 roomba and I only need to use central vacuum once a month for more detail cleaning. the central vacuum will last for a long long time. I dusted the top of the cabinets, TV, picture frames, windows once every few days with the feather duster and then run the Roomba. Roomba will pickup these little dust eventually. My wife said I become lazy and depend too much on Roomba, Hell, the house look clean every day. sorry about my english.

I would have bought one years ago if I had known how much I would adore this thing. It picks up junk I never even knew was there. The design is fantastic. I can take the brush assembly apart and actually put it back together! I'm thinking of buying the scooba b/c I love this one so much...

I got what I thought was a lemon, & Irobot sent me a brand new roomba! When I put the "lemon's" battery into it, & it began to act like the "lemon" did. Then I figured it out that it was the battery all along. They are sending me a new battery....(I have another roomba here, & put that battery in the new unit, & also tried it in "the lemon" & then they both worked great!!!! Evidentialy when I 1st reported the "lemon" problem Irobot was unaware of the battery problem. They told me now the battery has been "an issue" on many of these recertified roomba's. Irobot has great customer service. I love my Roomba's, ALL 4 of them!

All I can say, I wish I had bought this vacuum a long time ago. Its amazing. I only use it on my laminate floor, and it works great. I have a dog, hair used to be everywhere, but now my place is clean all the time. All my friends who visit me like it a lot. I encourage them to get one. Great buy.

This is my second Roomba (had 1st generation) and clearly it is better. The remote and base are nice additions. Mine has battery issues. Its supposed to run 1.5 hours+ and we only get 20-30 minutes on hard wood. The cleaning is great. The battery seems to die and it never makes it back to its recharing station. Will be call for warranty and hopefully this will work.

The unit looked new, and worked well right out of the box, no programming needed. Will clean a room in an hour or less, and can run for a couple of hours before running out of power, but not before finding its recharger automatically and parking itself to recharge. Virtual walls work well when you want to keep it away from certain areas, but it automatically bumps off objects and avoids stairs. Works well on carpet and hardwoods (no scratching observed). And even when the floor looks clean, it finds dirt and dust. It collects tons of lint, that would ordinarily be on your floor, kicked into the air every time you walk, so I bet it helps with allergies. We have a medium length hair dog, and the unit collects plenty of hair. It does get caught on the spinning parts, so for every couple hours of cleaning, you need to spending maybe 5 min emptying and pulling hair off the brushes etc. I'd rather do that then vacuum myself. It is powerful enough to suck up screws and nails too.

Our new Roomba works really well and overall it is worth the buy. We have hard wood floors and big area rugs. It gets caught on the rugs sometimes, especially bathroom rugs. The run time is only 1 hour. It docks itself, but it takes it a long time to find the docking station. Be prepared, it is noisy. You won't know what color you will get. The cliff sensor works well and you can drive it around with the remote control so you don't have to pick it up. So far so good.

Great product. Saves me a ton of time. I have 2 yellow labs that shed horribly and the roomba is great to maintain the dust and fur that get all over. Need to maintain it more if you have pets but its real easy to open and clean out. No complaints!!!

My husband talked me into getting the Irobot. I just love it. I don't think I could live without it. I use it everyday and works great.It came all new wrapped up in the box and happy to see that.I did buy a felt strip pad from Walmart and put two rows of it on the front of the Irobot. I don't like it bumping into the moulding and furniture. I was told they have something, but the felt strips work great. We like Buy.com very much. They sent the Irobot to me faster than I expected. They want to keep their customers happy and work with you. I will purchase from them again in the future when I need something. Great company !!

The roomba is wonderful in- between heavy cleaning jobs. It is easy to use and is pretty efficient. I am very happy with it. I live in a home with four kids, two dogs and two cats. Daily vacuuming is a must.

This little bugger goes under places I never thought it would fit, it does a great job cleaning except it does have an occasional problem with long dog hair. It vacums up most but since it blows air as well it can blow it away from the unit. Very pleased with some minor exceptions, the remote is not all that user friendly and the little brush fell off on three occasions(in a 2 week period ) only to loose the screw that secures it. The internal threads are made of brass so over tightening it would strip the threads out. The threads are Metric so finding a replacement is difficult. I did not try contacting the manufacturer about a replacement, (who knows how long it would be out of commision) I put Loctite on a 2-56 instead and that seems to have taken care of the problem.

The unit picks up well on hard floors and rugs, except on an area rug with tassels. They tend to get sucked into the Roomba, which is trying to move on, but gets stuck. Other than that we really like it.

We've bought 3 of these Roombas for ourselves and family--they aren't perfect vacuums but sure beat the hand pushed variety. No problems. Great deal.

On Dec 29th of 2007 I ordered the Roomba, I received it on Jan 4th of 2008. I read the directions carefully plugged it in for over 24 hours and when the power light was green I was ready for the little robot to do it's job and pushed the clean button and "nothing" I pushed all the buttons and nothing still. I called tech support and they said to take out the battery and hold down the power button and replace the battery. Well nothing. I waited for the battery to charge another 24 hours and when the green power button was on I tried it again. Nothing still. I called tech support again and they had me check my chargers and concluded it was a defective roomba. So they sent me a in warranty replacement. The replacement arrived Jan 20th 2008. It took eleven days to get to me. I plugged it in for 20 hours green light was on and I was ready again for the robot to go to work. Guess what ? Dead !!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Again called tech support and they had me do everything mentioned before over again. Now they say it is a defective battery, jeez I've had it. I asked for a supervisor this time and wanted an explanation. Well after I was told that I would have to wait another ten to twelve days I about went through the roof. The supervisor did say he would send it 2nd day air UPS, will see if that happens. I bought this on the reviews I've read , and on a friends advice. If the battery does not work I don't know what I'll do, maybe convert it to a dog dish. Word of advice, either buy this thing new, or don't buy at all.

I got this Roomba because I am the laziest person in the world, and since I have a cat my apartment was full of hair. This is a very very convenient product, it does clean A LOT of your mess but NOT ALL. There is stuff it just doesn't pick up, because obviously it does not REALLY know there is dirt there to be picked up, it sort of randomly goes around picking stuff that is in its way. Luckily it will go over places like ten times but there is always some places it misses, especially when you have a big living room or long hallway... If you make it work everyday it will probably keep your house as clean as a Dyson, but haven't done that yet. Also, it makes you a little crazy to watch it go because you see it turning from dirt which is just a few inches away and you ask yourself: "when is it going to pick that up???"... so for your own sanity don't stare at it while it works because you will go bananas due to do the frustration.... it will eventually clean your dirty spots so just cool off and go watch tv! also, it is a little loud... but i would recommend this to anybody who really hates vacuuming.

I always wanted one of these robots. Especially since in 1961, I made my own walking and talking robot - and won 2nd prize in the NYC Science Fair; and now I'm a licensed engineer. I haven't bought a Rhoomba before because of too many opinions and reviews, my fringed throw rugs worried me, etc. Well I couldnt resist this price. This amazing new baby of mine is cleaning my huge bathroom in the pitch black darkness upstairs right now. My house has never been this clean. I found hair from girlfriends I have long forgotten. It even calls you if it needs you. I love it...I promise, you wont be disappointed... When it (fairly quietly) cleans under your bed, and under your shelves and tables, in your closets, and goes everywhere from room to room, you too will be hooked. Especially when you empty the full dust bin.

Pros: The virtual walls works so neat, the Remote is so handy to use. My house is always sparkingly clean now. I sleep on the floor using a sleeping bag most of the times, I can feel a great difference in the dust levelon carpet now(I have scheduled the room to be cleaned daily - which was only weekends earlier).
