Was worried it would not be strong enough, but leave the machine for 10 minutes inside a room, close the door, and it collects more dirt than the normal vacuum cleaner. Impecable machine, no problems with being refurbished. Virtual walls work great. Was this review helpful?

This is my second Roomba. I purchased a refurbished Roomba that lasted about 18 months and then it died. Then I almost died not having it around. I held out for about 2 months with no Roomba and then I broke down and purchased another one. I liked my previous Roomba better just because it was a scheduler. I set the time and the days of the week that I wanted to it clean and that was it. This unit does not have that capability. This unit comes with a charger and battery, but it is not a scheduler. You have to start the unit yourself and it does not "redock" itself. You have to plug it back up. That is the only reason for an overall satisfaction score of 4. It works great just like my previous Roomba. It is able to transfer from hardwood to carpet and tile floors with ease. You do have to pick up any rugs with fringe because the unit will get "hung up" in it. I just hope this unit will last a little longer then the my previous Roomba. Was this review helpful?

I read some mostly good and a few complain about this product and was myself not convinced this type of product would be more than a gadget. I bought it for my girlfriend about 2 weeks ago and so far we are really pleased and impressed. We have only wooden floor and it perform very well on it. Every time we turn it on, the little bin end up almost full of dust. The battery us strong so far and the beast is very easy to use.
My only complain is that the discovery usually come with the docking station (when bought new) and this one (refurbished) does not. It was not advertised on buy.com but I read reviews before and it is supposed to come with so I was disappointed (the little devil has the ability to come recharge itself on the docking station when its batteries are low). It does come with 2 virtual walls, but I never used them so far.
I placed it on my table to test it and the beast never falls, it has some sort of detector and turn around when reaching the edge! Impressive and fun to clean the crumbs off the table.
Bottom line: Great product so far, effective, simple, well made and fun too. Was this review helpful?

This little robot cleans up a lot of cat hair. It works terrific on our pergo floor and on the rugs we have in our doorways. The only downside is that the scheduler and the self-charging dock are not included with this unit. They are considered "accessories". Was this review helpful?

I have this model of Roomba (Roomba 4210 White) and just love it. If you have a an apartment and want to make your life easier, I highly recommend it. Works seamlessly on carpet to wood to tile, rarely complains and never wants a raise. I just put mine on when Im doing the dishes and before I know it, the whole place is spotless. Just remember to clean it regularly, it will increase the life of your product. Was this review helpful?

I've tried the 400 model and was no good in two weeks after problem with gear bushing. It seems like they've identify that issue and remedied it by having a slight modification to their design to keep more dusts from entering the gear box. The price at buy.com gives it a good value for today's technology. This refurbished was just like new and I will continue to buy refurbished items like this from buy.com no problem. In addition, this model is little more intelligent trying to get out of rug obstacles.. Was this review helpful?
