2 of 5 Not as advertised Sunday, April 08, 2007 Steve from Atlanta, GA
The primary reason I bought the Iris Card Pro was its claim that it would export information directly to ACT. It turns out that that is not true (although they claim they are working on it). In addition, the interface is clumsy and unnecessarily complex. It may be more usable with more practice, but right now I would send it back if I could. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Iris is TWAIN, most others are not Thursday, February 15, 2007 Ed from St. Louis, MO
The install went ok and am getting use to it's features. OTC is better on other systems I have tried. Overall, I am very happy Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great product if came with correct software Monday, February 12, 2007 Michael from Denver, CO
When I received my IRIS Pro Scanner, it came with incorrect software. I attempted to install the software and hook up the scanner following the instructions to a tee, on several different computers in the office to verify it was not a problem with the computer. After many hours, and many e-mails and phone calls to IRIS, I finally recieved an e-mail from tech support indicating the wrong software may have been enclosed, and was provided a link to download the correct software. Once downloaded, the software works fairly well, with an occcassional issue with dark colored business cards. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Am I Glad I Bought This! Friday, February 09, 2007 Steve Briggs from Houston, TX
Not having an Admin, and having hundreds of biz cards due to my occupation, I was hesitant to get them into my system. This was simply a result of the time it was going to take!
I own ReadIRIS Pro and love the functionality, so I was willing to give the biz card reader a try. IT WORKS AS ADVERTISED! I scanned all of my cards in 3 days of work - way less time than typing them!
The auto recognition works well as long as there is no image or background on the card. It also doesn't like colored backgrounds. Other than this, it is an excellent product, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Make sure the software on the CD is what you ordered. I had a minor problem with mine, but it was quickly remmedied. They have a good english-speaking support staff in FL! Was this review helpful?
