With capacities from 500GB to 2TB, the ioSafe Solo can safely protect precious digital family photo albums, MP3 music libraries and days of video memories. For business, the ioSafe Solo hard drive is a great way to protect customer databases or to secure regulated information including patient records (HIPAA, Sox, etc) or credit card information (PCI regulated). Businesses use the Solo hard drive as a backup and storage device, no longer worrying about data loss from moving computer tapes and files offsite. Like other ioSafe products, the ioSafe Solo uses ioSafe patented technology including FloSafe air flow cooling, HydroSafe waterproof barriers and the DataCast fireproof insulation.

Factory Recovery: ioSafe will pay for the disaster exposed product to be shipped back to ioSafe’s headquarters for data recovery. If data recovery is successful, a replacement product will be loaded with the original data and shipped back to the original user, or
$1000 Third Party Recovery: At the discretion of ioSafe, if the data recovery by the Company is not successful, the Company will pay up to $1000.00 to a third-party disk recovery service of the Company's choice to extract the data. Any data extracted will be loaded on a replacement product and shipped back to the original user.

I've often worried about backing up my data often enough to be "safe", then I found the ioSafe Solo. Now when I back up my data it is safe from fire and water damage. I can't believe the quality and features of this product, all at a price that is just above what a regular unprotected drive would have cost. The Solo is a no-brainer and I would recommend it to everyone for secure backup storage. Was this review helpful?

I found this drive and it's perfect. I live in Hurricane country on the gulf coast and travel a lot. This is where I'm backing up my pictures now!!!! It's awesome. I just plugged it in, it popped up as another drive on my PC. I'm using Genie backup to run continuous backups from my home server. I think I'm getting another one for my other house.
