After reading some of the reviews for this product I was getting very concerned about my decision to purchase it. But, I’m glad that I did because it works great. Once it arrived I decided to try it out just in case I needed to send it back. First, the drivers and video capture software as well as the USB cable did come with the product. Set up is very easy. Once you start the tape there is a preview window that allows you to position the tape to where you want to begin recording. You can either set how long to record or stop it manually. It saves as a MPG file. The file pays back on the PC with no problem. It also has a frame capture option to allow you to capture a still of what is on the video. Used my DVD burning software to create a DVD from the MPG file. DVD plays pack with same quality as the original tape. I think that is an important note. The quality of the video capture will only be as good at the quality of the tape you are transferring. My PC runs Windows Home Edition XP SP2, 1GB RAM, 2.8GHz processor, and I had about 48GB of free space on the disk.
