4 of 5 Iomega 500GB ScreenPlay HD Multimedia Wednesday, March 18, 2009
A Customer from Richmond, TX

Great media player for the price. Overall satisfy with the unit, if you need a convient way to play your store media to tv. Video output and sound are excellent. Easy to used and work as advertise. Cons: Menu not very advance, unable to skip around in the movie, very basic GUI. Hopefully Iomega comes up with an update for the menu and add some advance feature. That would make this an excellent media player.

5 of 5 works wonders Thursday, February 26, 2009
A Customer from North Carolina
As usual, buy.com delivers as usual, quick and painless. As for the product, outstanding. I was hesatent on this purchase, but I am now sold. Works as it states. No problems from the player at all. My only problem was the interaction with my MacBook. If you have windows, should be no problems, my Mac interface was extremly slow to transfir files. This is my issue not the product. I suggest if your using a mac, copy the orginal files on the drive, then reformat to Fat32. Will make your life much easier than what I am going through with NTSF.

4 of 5 Affordable media player Friday, December 26, 2008
jlin from Coffeyville, KS
I purchased this primarily for use as a music player. Pros: 1. it's as easy to use as any external hard drive--simply copy the media files to the HD, without installing any software; 2. large capacity compared to portable media players such as iPod; 3. compatible with many audio and video formats; 4. the video and sound quality are excellent (I didn't use HDMI because my Onkyo receiver was not able to detect the signal, although my Panasonic Viera Plasma had no issue); 5. the whole unit is quite portable. Cons: 1. the included remote is flat and hard to press--I ended up using my reciever's programmable remote; 2. the included proprietary cables are fairly short; 3. the tiny fan inside is a little whiny/noisy, as in most DVR's (the remote uses IR, not RF, so you can't tuck the player out of sight). Overall I am pleased with its performance.

5 of 5 best thing since sliced bread! Friday, December 19, 2008
A Customer from scotland. uk
i bought this 2 days ago and loaded 149 movies that i wuld usually have to convert. these are all divx and everyone plays 100%. only thing i find annoying is the blue light stayson when i press standby on the remote. maybe it should change to color red. works perfect using an dhmi cable that i had to by seperately, but this is worth twice the money. small and compact, a doddle to set up and play. remote is a litlle on the very small size but other than that, would recommend to anyone. picture and sound is perfect.

5 of 5 My multimedia hardrive review Wednesday, December 17, 2008
Russell from Florida
Well so far the drive works very good, I copied my files and played it instantly using my AV cables to my television,I havent tried the HDMI yet since I dont have a HDTV yet(maybe next christmas),if you are a little computer friendly its a breeze to copy and delete files to the device but if you are not then you should get someone who is to help so you dont have complications. Advice on buying the product is look through buy.com very carefully first before you buy because they sometimes have the same product advertised at a cheaper price, I bought my drive at $149.99 and while browsing I found it from the same seller (J&R music)for $132.99,and Im supposed to get a $15 refund and there costumer service is good so any issues should be no problems to sort out.... Enjoy your player...

5 of 5 Very Nice Device Thursday, December 11, 2008
Matt from Tampa, FL
This works as advertised, and is a great way to have access to your .mp3 and movies. I connected it to my LCD TV via and HDMI cable (not included). The picture and sound are excellent (not Hi Def, but progressive scan quality). The unit does get warm when running, but no more so than any other external HD for a PC does. The remote is mediocre, but this is a complaint of the "Megan Fox has ugly ankles" variety-it may be true, but it doesn't really matter. I highly recommend this. The setup was very easy, the interface is straight forward although not flashy.

syhines from 20735
The screen play is so easy to use and transfering move to it is so easy; it will hook up to any TV , HDMI or component will work and the play list is great, just set up your folder and you can find any movie and hit play. No more changing disc.

5 of 5 Dont review if you dont have one Sunday, August 10, 2008
A Customer from Burke, Virginia
I love these reviewers who review products and havent even used it. It appears this product does not have a HDMI port but the reviewer who does not have one but did his "research" says it does. If you look at the photo you can clearly see it does not have the port. Keep your opinions to yourself if it is based on zero knowledge.

4 of 5 Has HDMI output Tuesday, May 27, 2008
A Customer from Dallas, TX
I haven't gotten mine yet but I have already ordered it so as soon as it arrives I'll post a review. I have done extensive research and the unit does have an HDMI output so the first reviewer was incorrect when he stated that it didn't have one. Look for a full review in about 2 weeks.

4 of 5 Good for the price Tuesday, April 29, 2008
A Customer from Queen Creek, AZ
Good price. Got it with 500GB internal HD. The 1st one had the connection issue that I had to wiggle the plug to get the picture on TV. Also there was a humming noise thru the receiver/speakers. I returned/exchanged for a second unit. No problem with the plug/picture but got the same humming noise. For now, I am very happy with the unit. As for the humming, in the future, I can try to use the Digital coaxial output plug instead of the composite mini-plug that came with the unit. I tried another compsite mini-plug from my camcorder - but I got no picture and sound. Anyway, I connected the Screenplay to my computer thru USB cable. Copied VOB files/movies on it like any other USB external Hard drive. Un Plug it and hooked it up to my receiver. Voila, instant movies. No more burning to DVD-R disc. No more shrinking of the VOB files to fit it on a DVD-R. No longer use my DVD player. No more finding my DVD-R discs. All the movies are now in one play and easy to find. I just index thru the menu to find the movie to watch. It does what I need now... watch VOB files/movies. The bad: no HDMI output. When the drive is full, I have to delete files in order to add more. just time consumming. I am considering the Popcorn Hour A-100 or the MVIX 800HD to use it with my external USB hard drive.
