The Iomega 1TB drive has a small form factor, works great as attached storage via USB 2.0. I use it for backing up my installed hard drives. I found the included Retrospect HD backup software very easy to setup and use, and a lot of people will find it is all you need. But since it does not make an image of your hard drive, on a disk failure, you still need to reinstall your Operating System (and all Service Packs) which is a chore I'd like to avoid so I am using Acronis True Image instead as my backup software - it works great with this drive. The advertised Mozy 2Gb of online storage is what it is, but I think if you want a 2Gb online backup account on Mozy you can get it for free anyway, you don't need to purchase ths drive (as implied by the advertising). Overall, an amazing value for 1TB of drive space. Was this review helpful?

The Iomega 1T drive is very easy to use. I plugged it in, cabled it up, and turned it on and Windows XP did the rest. A drive letter was created for it, and in seconds I was adding files to it by drag-drop in File Explorer.
My only complaint is that it is noisier than my external Maxtor drives. It also seems to run a little warmer. But the price is right and it is very easy to use. Was this review helpful?
