5 of 5 Great form factor Monday, May 11, 2009 Brad from Arlington Heights, IL
I really like this drive, and the reason is because of the form factor and design. Most drives are so clunky and awkward sitting on a desk and this isn't at all. I'm actually hoping to buy 2 or 3 of these and daisy chain them. This isn't the lowest price for a 1TB that you can find, but it's well worth it to me for the way that it's designed. If I had a Mac mini, it would go right on top of this drive, which is just very sweet. Love it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works with Airport Express Saturday, April 25, 2009 A Customer from CT
Form: MiniMax is one or only that comes in a 1TB size that can be stacked with a Mac Mini or in my case the Airport Extreme. I have seen enclosures but you have to buy an EIDE drive which limits you to only 500GB. The MiniMax fits very nicely and instructions are clear that the drive should not be on top of your Airport Extreme.
Usefulness: I plugged the drive into my Airport Extreme so all the PC’s on my network can access it (Yes I said PC’s and not Mac). The drive is formatted to work with the Airport Extreme which supports Fat32 or Journal (MAC Format). If you have an Airport Extreme and would like to create an inexpensive 1TB network storage this is not a bad combo especially since this combo cost 320 dollars compared to 500 for the 1TB Time Capsule from Apple. Plus if I have a problem with my drive I can send it to Iomega and not be out a router.
Performance: I never plugged it into a computer so I couldn’t tell you much about the performance. I am sure it will be decent since I am able to transfer 12-20 MB per second on a gigabit network.

5 of 5 Just sweet! Thursday, March 12, 2009 Robert from Decatur, GA
I got this drive yesterday for my Mac Mini (2009). When it mounted, Time Machine immediately recognized it. I read in other reviews that there was a blue light on this drive, but that's not true. The Iomega "I" in the front center of the drive lights up white when power is turned on. It also flashes along with disk activity. It remains on when the mac is put to sleep. After setting up 3 partitions (EyeTV, iTunes, Time Machine) this drive was set. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 iomega 1T so far excellent Saturday, November 29, 2008 Juan from Mission Viejo, CA.,
I have had the new 1T iomaga external hardrive for about 2.5 weeks an so far it is grate. I read a lot of the review for the 500GB iomaga and most people where saying that it was noisy and it ran to hot. I am glad to say that my new 1T iomaga runs very quite not noisy at all and it does not get very hot. I put my hand on top of the drive in it is look worm. This drive was easy to set up and I ran Time Machine the first day I got it. I say one of the best thing about the drive is that it runs quite. That a lone is a blessing. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works just fine Thursday, July 31, 2008 tinksd19 from Canton, GA
It's definitely cute, although a tad pricey. Seems to work just fine - I'm using on a PC (had to format first since it comes with mac formatting) until I can afford a mac. My only dissatisfaction is with the finish on the top. It's a bit squishy and came out of the unopened box pretty scratched up. I actually had to exchange the first one I received because it was so scratched and and had so many fingerprints all over it that I thought someone had opened it and used it (and tossed it around??) already. Now it's fine and sitting pretty on my desk. Takes up very little space and seems nice and fast plugged into a firewire port. Was this review helpful?
