Enter a personalized web address into any browser, and you will be easily downloading and uploading your files securely. Administrators can easily change network hard drive settings, like adding users and folders from any web enabled device. The first year of remote access is free – and it’s only $9.95 per year after . Custom domain names, such as www.yourfamilyname.com, are also available for additional charges. Remote access services are provided by TZO, the trusted name in Dynamic DNS Services.
Torrent Download
Torrent is the new standard in peer-to-peer file sharing. This technology facilitates download management, making it easier and faster to download large media files. With direct file transfer to your network hard drive, say goodbye to those unfinished downloads!
Apple Time Machine Support
With this new capability, users running Mac OS X 10.5 or higher will be able to use their Home Media Network Hard Drive as a backup target for Time Machine – Apple’s built in backup software. Competitor’s network storage devices without this specific support can’t be used with Time Machine.
3-Year Warranty
Coincidental with this release, customers who register the product with Iomega will receive 3-years of product and technical support. Customers who register qualified units within 90 days of purchase will receive a warranty extension up to 3 years.
QuikProtect
Iomega QuikProtect is now included on the solution CD. QuikProtect software offers simple file-level data protection for your desktop or notebook computer to any Iomega backup device (hard drive, network hard drive, or StorCenter).
FTP
A simple FTP implementation is included in this release for the limited end-user set that require FTP functionality and need basic FTP functionality.
