    easy to set up and easy to upload/download .. great value .. i use it to show videos for class illustrations .. no need to make dvd's and then use a dvd player, just download all your media to the iogear and it's like operating a dvd player without taking up any space and a bunch of cables.

    I bought this little gem cause it was on sale and had great reviews. Now it's my turn to add to those! I already have a home server so watching stored movies at home is fairly easy. But when we go to the in-laws or on vacation, we can now take a large portion of our DVD collection with us. Very easy hookup and menus make for trouble-free viewing. I've since upgraded to a 500gb drive so that I can store even more (I had a secondary use for the 120gb but I'm sure I've voided my warranty). It does run a little hot, so when I'm copying files or using it for playback, I try to prop it up on something to get some air flow under it. I'm going to try it in my wife's car (even though IO Gear states in the manual that it is not for mobile use) since I have the input jacks, just a soon as I get a DC adapter. Would purchase again without hesitation!

    I bought this after a friend brought it to work. I bought it just in time for a short trip and my kids enjoyed it in the car and at my brother's house. When my brother saw it, he ordered one for his RV.

    This is the coolest thing. You just drop any audio, video, or pictures on to the drive and go. I made my own folders and catagories. It does it all. Best part, so portable. It is better than carring all your cds and dvds around.
