3 of 5 Decent gadget for the price... Tuesday, December 02, 2008
THOMAS K. from Houston, TX
Pros: - Small & Light Weight - Charges in about 4 hours (pro or con to others) - Has a lot of connectors and compatible with other connectors that are USB (which I prefer to use and my devices are) - Little LED lights shows status and also charge remaining - Cheap and does what it is supposed to do. Cons: - Ipod connector not found (most popular device and its connection not supported?) - The charge connector is kind of weak and does not fit tight, so you feel like it will break - Claims 3 charges of a cell phone, but for Blackberrys and other PDA devices, you will get less, maybe 1.5 tops (that is what I got)

5 of 5 Works as advertised Wednesday, September 24, 2008
A Customer from Los Angeles, California
It's small, light and charges quickly. The blue status lights are helpful as they let you know the state of the charger. The carrying pouch for it is a nice bonus. I found myself on the way to the airport with a dead BlackBerry. I plugged in Iogear and, within 5-10 minutes or so, the BlackBerry was up and running (and I discovered that my upgrade cleared!). The Iogear won't guarantee you upgrades when you fly, but it will help you find out if you got one. ;) This is one of those nice, simple products that does only one useful thing but it does it very well. It's now a permanent part of my road warrior kit.

5 of 5 Portable Charger Wednesday, September 24, 2008
Michael Capilli from Philadelphia, PA
Any device with a usb connection can be charged with this device. I have only had it for a week but have had the opportunity to use it several times. It's small size makes it very convenient. I am impressed.

5 of 5 Works well to my purpose. Thursday, September 04, 2008
A Customer from Edison NJ
I tested it by draining the Zune30 battery till the charge icon showed then connect. It was able to play the Zune Over 2 hours and charged it to full at the same time. The battery meter still showed around 3/4 full. The only draw back is it takes along time to charge may be 6-8 hrs but it holds the charge for months.

Only reason I bought this was for my iPhone. Doesn't work. But looks like it would work nicely for other devices...

4 of 5 A backup for my Cellphone Monday, August 11, 2008
Hidowu from Monroe, Wa
I use it to recharge my cellphone when I am on the move. I get a full charge for my ATT tilt when the charge is fully charged instead of three charges in the manual. I can live with that. the delivery was hitch-free. Thanks Buy.com.

3 of 5 Neat - but Broken Monday, July 28, 2008
Lori from San Antonio, TX
I think this recharger is really cool - and it worked fine for about 3 weeks. Then the battery pack got fowled. The connector seems to be loose and broken. I didn't subject it to any rough abuse... just didn't like to be used as much as I was using it, I guess (my phone batter would not take a charge, and I was using the battery pack for about a week while waiting for a new phone battery to arrive). So the little battery has turned into a brick. However, the cables and tips still work great as one charger for all my devices. I've got a USB to wall plug cord that I use and I can charge everything (one by one) using this kit. So it's still not a wash. Just wish the battery still worked.

4 of 5 Very handy Monday, July 28, 2008

Does NOT charge an iPod Touch...but that's not buy.com's fault. Otherwise, extremely nice. Holds a lot of charge for a long time.

3 of 5 portable power product Wednesday, July 02, 2008
Gregg from Waukesha, WI
The Good: very compact battery system with connectors. I bought for use primarily with a Nokia n800 internet tablet. The unit charges off of a PC's USB port in about 4 hours. The battery system includes circuit protection (overload and short-circuit, I believe). The "not so good": the furnished connector for the Nokia doesn't fit real tight. Also, the ad says that the Iogear product will charge a cell phone three times before needing recharging. It only charges my n800 once before recharging. In summary, it's a fairly good deal for what I paid ($20 incl shipping).

3 of 5 Does not perform quite as anticipated Tuesday, July 01, 2008
A Customer from New York
I bought this device to use as backup power for my electronic devices that are plug-compatible. It is advertised as a 'battery charger' but curiously does not indicate that it could be used to provide supplemental power when the device is out of its own battery power. I assumed that it could provide backup power in lieu of the device's internal battery. Why not? While it's charging it should also power the device. It does provide backup power for my Palm Treo, but will not provide power to my Apple iphone and sends my Mio GPS into a charge mode where I cannot use it for navigation while this device is connected to it. So, it's ok for powering my Treo when its battery is low. I suppose it's worth it for that alone but disappointed that I can't use it on my other devices.

2 of 5 Not as useful as I first thought Monday, June 30, 2008
Tony Moscati from Arlington, VA
PDA tip doesn't fit my Palm PDA (Palm TX); nor does the tip for the ear phone bluetooth accessory work with my Verizon ear phone. One tip, of all provided fits my cell phone and can recharge that for which I am grateful.

4 of 5 Great product. Invaluable in times of need but has Monday, June 09, 2008
Khameinei Ali from Washington, DC/Ventnor City, NJ
Firstly, the main devices I tested the power pack were a Nokia N75 smartphone, an Nokia N800 Internet tablet, and a Tom Tom One GPS unit. Now down to the nitty gritty. The device works great it charges pretty quick and has a decent amount of battery capacity. I could probably stretch 2.5-2.8 charges on my N75, about 2 charges onthe N800, and maybe 2 or a little under on the Tom Tom. The pack saved me numerous times from battery failure on long trips and powered my GPS on a long trip home (which was crucial) because I had no idea where I was. Basically, this pack is very very useful. It is very small and ligh as well. Just shove the little pouch in your backback or glovebox, briefcase, purse, etc. VERY HANDY. That being said despite its usefuleness it tends to be poor at charging other devices. For example while charging any of the three aforementioned devices the charge indicator on the devices would go on and off. It seems to supply an inconsistent poweroutput sometimes. This problem is eliminated or nearly eliminated if the device is completely stable.

5 of 5 Good product Wednesday, May 28, 2008
A Customer from NY.NY
The build of this item seems good and it's really strait forward to use. The only con I can see is that when i use it to charge my htc6800 smart phone, I only get one and maybe a half charge out of it. Otherwise great product.

4 of 5 Does what is says - good value Wednesday, May 21, 2008
heathkitt from boca raton, fl
Runs my Sansa View playing video for 5 hours or more on a plane. It might run a week on just audio. One problem with the design is all the tips you have to keep track of. You need one tip when running the device and you must save one to use when charging. This means using the bag to hold all the tips, when the unit could have been designed to charge simply from a mini USB input. One fix is to put heat shrink over both the charging tip and end of the provided cable, to keep them from getting lost - and call that my charging cable. Then use the device's USB cable to power the device.

5 of 5 Seems to work fine with Zune Monday, May 19, 2008
A Customer from GI Ne
I was looking for a battery to make my Zune last longer on long flights. Although I have not tried it on an extended flight yet I have connected it VIA the USB port and the Zune goes into charge mode and the device seems to charge the Zune just fine. I've also purchased the Motorola tip for my cell phones and that works as well. Time will tell if it's the perfect travel charging device but it's small size are a bonus.

4 of 5 Very Handy! Saturday, May 17, 2008
Lbravo from San Antonio, TX
This little guy works with just about anything! I have a RAZR phone, a Nokia 810, and a Sony Ericsson phone, and this came with adapters for everything in my kit. I wish it came with a wall charger, because it's got to be recharged from USB. Still, it's rescued me more than once in two weeks (a new RAZR battery is on order), and it does do at least three recharges per charge. Nice.

4 of 5 Works, but... Saturday, May 17, 2008
A Customer from San Francisco, CA
The product does indeed work as advertised, but is a bit flimsy in construction and I wonder how long it will last. I was able to charge my cell phone, headset and iPods with not problems.

1 of 5 Doesn't work for me Wednesday, May 14, 2008
A Customer from Madison, WI
I have two problems with this item: 1)It will not charge my Nokia phone - the phone displays the error "not charging" and 2)The connector for the Samsung phone will not even fit into my daughter's Samsung phone. There is a full compatibility listing on iogear.com. Check it prior to purchase (although it does say my Nokia is compatible, so it may not be fully accurate).

5 of 5 Nice form factor Monday, May 12, 2008
Nokia N800 User from Seattle, WA
Works fine, especially when used with my Nokia N800 since the power input on the Pocket Charger takes the same size charging tip and can be charged by the Nokia AC adapter (as an alternative to using USB-supplied power to charge it). I don't know and it doesn't say on the packaging or anywhere I could find what the storage capacity of the unit is. It certainly has enough umphh to "refill" my N800's 1300mAh battery more than once, maybe twice though I've never found out. I say good value, but Buy.com had it for $19.99 including shipping when I bought it. The form factor is very nice -- feels good in the hand, no sharp corners, and really small -- smaller than you might expect.

Charge it on your laptop or desktop thru USB. Pack it up and get 3 or more charges. No packing 2 or more charges for different phones & PDA. No disappointment, I love it!!!!!

4 of 5 Works with iPod Nano 2G, but not iPhone Friday, December 14, 2007
Jerry from Ridgecrest, CA
Unit is nice size and is light. It has a good four bar battery indicator on the front. The USB charging cable for the unit has a very small tip that is very concerning with durability, but overall I am pleased except with the lack of iPhone charging. Apple must have changed something, but it will not charge a iPhone. I have not problem with my 2nd gen Nano though. I heard someone is making a adapter cable to make units like this compatible with the iPhone and newer iPods.

5 of 5 This is a nice one Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from San Diego, CA
I bought it from Buy.com with the price less than $30 a few months ago. I've been very satisfied with this little one since then. (1)It looks very pretty. The small size (a little bigger than a credit card)makes it easy to bring to anywhere. (2)Long battery work time. For example, I used it once when my Archos 604 video player ran out of battery, and this little one let me continue my movie for at least 2 hours and the battery was still not empty. (3) Convenience. With the variety of connectors you can use it on many small electronic devices. I can connect it to my cell phone to make phone calls and charge the cell phone battery. It's a very good backup for your battery. This little one uses USB for charging. I have a plug for USB so I don't need to connect it to computers, but just plug to the wall outlet.

3 of 5 Good Value for the price Friday, September 14, 2007
Kevin R. from Stamford, CT
I got this item last week from Buy.com. With my Motorola KRZR I get about 2 full charges on this not three. This unit charges through your usb port, it does not come with wall charger. The only main complaint is that I can not get any of the extra adapter tips. Nobody stocks these, I called IOGear and they didn't have them, though their website says they have them in stock. I wanted the adapter for the PSP and Gameboy. But I found USB charging cables for both of those items on ebay. I would rather have the tips than carry around two exta cables but it works. If you want this item to recharge anything other than the phone tips it comes with, make sure you can get a USB charging cable for your item as none of the tips seem to be available. The size is small and not heavy, this is good to keep in your briefcase or pocket when traveling for a charge when no outlets are available. Also you need a USB port to recharge this thing so if you are traveling without your computer you have no way of charging this thing back up.

5 of 5 Good buy Thursday, September 13, 2007
Doug from San Diego, CA
I bought this and took it with me on my business trip and it works great. I just take two tips with me, and the included bag really helps. I like they include all these tips, so next time when I buy new phone, I can continue use this product and not have to buy a new battery for different phone again.
