IOGEAR’s new 5-button USB Laser Mouse (the vanguard product in the company’s new laser 1600 series) is an excellent tool for graphic designers, gamers, and desktop users. This new IOGEAR mouse uses VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) as the light source, which provides 30x more tracking power than regular mice using an optical sensor. This means that the USB laser mouse will work on virtually any surface, which its extremely high resolution of 1600 dpi.
The mouse incorporates an ‘instant access’ button that allows users to easily open Microsoft Office applications. The customizable shortcut wheel gives users the power to easily copy, paste, print, save or complete variety of tasks commonly used in each application.

I purchased this mouse about 3 months back from buy.com. First I was not satisfied with the bulky size of the mouse and then it stopped working within a month. I was able to scroll vertically, but horizental scroll was not working. I just thrown it in trash. Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Great resolution, but has a glitch!! Monday, December 05, 2005

I bought this mouse the first time and liked it right off the bat!! However, I then noticed how it had a small glitch on a hard "left direction swoop". The mouse seemed to lag. I then returned it for a new, one with the same results!! I now a in the process of getting a refund. If you are a gamer, I would look into a different name! Was this review helpful?
