I unknowingly purchased this student version for my new business. Unfortunately I didnt realize this until I tried to use it for the first time. I cannot return this product to Buy.com since it has passed 14 days. When I tried to register this product Intuit wants $130 to upgrade to a business license. Unless you are a college student, this is a "bait and switch" ripoff! Was this review helpful?

I've used QuickBooks for years, and it has always performed well. I purchased this upgrade to gain compatability for electronic banking between my e-commerce site and my bank.

This is the academic version of the software and not the full blown version that you need to run a business. It is a good learning tool but if you need full functionality this is not your version. Spend the extra money and get Pro version as I ended up having to do. Was this review helpful?

In a small office we have added two new Dell PC's to allow three operators to access QuickBooks. We have a license for three users. We retired one Windows XP Professional platform PC and replaced it with a Dell Vista OS PC and two Windows XP Home Edition OS PC's.
The Vista PC will print to the LAN based printer but the XP Home units will not. We cannot find information from Intuit to solve the issue. We have been through the re-install process plus checked that other programs access the printer.
It's really difficult to get help from Intuit. We sure wiil appreciate help from anyone with experience in this area. It might help if Intuit had a manual for this expensive software package. Was this review helpful?

Having used Quickbooks for many years, I can say that it is probably the most user friendly accounting software for the small business owner. However, you'll save yourself many later headaches (and much money at tax time) by spending a few bucks having a professional familiar with the product assist in setting up the initial charts of accounts, etc. MAJOR mistake on my part the first time I started using the product.
Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone needing friendly full featured accounting software. Was this review helpful?
