	After riding the post-grunge wave to commercial success, Candlebox had a hard time shaking accusations of being derivative and unoriginal. Despite such accusations, as well as line-up changes and other difficulties, the Seattle outfit persevered. INTO THE SUN (2008) is the band's first studio release in 10 years, yet it proves that Candlebox is intent on sticking to its post-grunge guns. Beefy guitars, wailing vocals, and anthemic choruses abound, whether on slick boogie rockers like "Bitches Brewin'" or full-blown powerhouse ballads like "Surrendering." Those with a yen for the early 1990s when grunge-influenced rock ruled the charts will appreciate this 21st-century nod to the genre.
