5 of 5 Good low power cpu/mb Sunday, April 26, 2009 Don from Grapevine, Texas
Pro: Installation was very easy using normal power supply and drives. Booted up without any bios adjustments. Performance seems to be at least on par with other low power processors. VGA performance using Windows drivers is good compared to other on board video chip sets.
Con: If you do have to access the bios, there is only about a 1 second window during the boot to enter it. VGA performance during the bios boot is poor-about half the time (with a high resolution display) the screen did not paint until into the application boot. The usb, audio, and control connects are very close to the PCI slot. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice but noisy. Saturday, April 04, 2009 A Customer from Harleysville, PA
This board is great for a web browsing machine, but the fan attached to the northbridge heatsink is a bit on the noisy side. Fortunately the loud fan can be swapped out for a silent Scythe MiniKaze, and that is an inexpensive procedure if the noise level does bother you. The board runs Kubuntu with KDE4.2 flawlessly, and even permits a virtualized windows environment without overtaxing the processing resources. A great low-power high efficiency board. 5 of 5 Nice little board Saturday, March 07, 2009 A Customer from Portland, OR
Works great for what it's designed to do. If you need to build a reliable, cheap, low power box, this is the board to get.
I bought several, one is running Ubuntu Linux and the other is running Windows XP. Both work fine. Recommend getting maximum supported 2GB of RAM for best performance.

5 of 5 Excellent entry level board with plenty of power Tuesday, February 17, 2009 SirDeath from Between, GA
An excellent board that is great for an entry level system. My complaints are the lack of a floppy connector on the board (not a biggie for most people in today's age) and the lack of a DVI connector on the back. The latter is a bit of biggie as more and more monitors are shipping with DVI only connectors, but converters are still quite commonplace. The dual core HT atom (which behaves like 4 cores) has plenty of punch for most apps and has ALWAYS ran cool. BIOS updates have never worked "right" and have required the manual reset of removing a jumper on the board and burning the updated BIOS to a CD in order to upgrade. A pain, but it works flawlessly when done this way. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Board, Crappy Fan Saturday, January 31, 2009 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
Like all the other reviews, this is a great board for one looking for the low wattage ATOM processor. System has a 2.0 speed rating with Vista which is good enough for web browsing and other home usages. Bought mine with the AOPEN S150 case and they work great together. You will want to either get a heatsink or replacement fan as the one supplied is WAY TO LOUD! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very capable little board Monday, January 05, 2009 A Customer from Portland, OR
Contains dual core hyper threaded Intel Atom processor. Supports up to 2GB RAM. Supports both SATA and IDE. Has several built-in USB connectors, in addition to PS/2 connectors.
I used the board to assemble a small PC to handle VoIP and file sharing. Works great. The supplied drivers "just worked" with WinXP SP3.
One little con: while the little fan on the board is pretty quiet, I hoped that it would be even quieter. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great ITX Board Sunday, November 16, 2008 A Customer from Holliston, Ma
Great ITX board with a dual core cpu. Perfect for web access and basic tasks such as word processing. It would be nice if it could address more than 2G of ram. Runs XP and Vista ! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great, tiny motherboard, a little loud Monday, October 06, 2008 A Customer from Raleigh, NC
This is a great tiny little motherboard. 2 hyperthreaded cores, you can't beat the price. Running XP just fine, and can watch HD video. Lots of USB ports. Fits in my std ATX case, and is completely dwarfed in there. Only one PCI slot, so no real option for upgrading the video card.
There is a great jumper you can use to get into the BIOS setup if you accidentally screw things up and the system stops booting.
The only downsides are the chipset fan is louder than I'd like, and it uses more power in my system than expected. 71 watts total system use with 4 hard drives (using up the only PCI slot with an ATA expansion card), and a much too large 400W power supply, possibly because XP is bad at putting things in idle state, or because one of the hard drives is older and possibly less power efficient.
