This is a great product... it charges my IPOD Nano while I use it as my music player for listening to my favorite downloads when connecting the device to my home stereo/entertainment/theater unit. The device comes with a wireless remote control that allows me to control the volume, song selection and pauses playback. If I had to "con" the product I would say that it lacks it's own individual wiring for charging the IPOD meaning that a computer's USB or Firewire is required to charge the IPOD. I bought this to provide remote control for my 40GB 4th Gen iPod, so that I could use it for playing music through my outdoor speakers. While the doc supports both USB and FireWire inputs for charging, only the FireWire port will provide power for my iPod. If I plug an iPod USB cable directly from a USB charger to my iPod, it charges fine, so I'm not sure why this is. Also, note that if your iPod is not being powered by the charger for whatever reason, the line out port will also be too low for a receiver to properly amplify it. Given these caveats, once I plugged the dock into an Apple FireWire charger with a spare FireWire cable I had, the dock works fine for 1/4 the price of the Apple dock. Was this review helpful?

Product works great, and charges your ipod. It has a audio out connection which can be used to route sound over to your speakers etc. Remote is very handy also. Super price for such a versatile item Was this review helpful?

It doesn't come with the cable to connect to the stereo, making this device worthless unless you go hunt one down. The standard, red, white, yellow ones I had lying around didn't work so I guess it's off to buy more stuff. Was this review helpful?

this docking station is used with my hi-fi stereo. I am really please with this and it works well with my 80gb iPod. I sit back and relax from 20ft away and scan forward or back with my preset playlist. it's pretty sweet and cheap. Was this review helpful?

The clicker on works when it is just pluged in and the volume always works. If you barly tuch the ipod it will turn the sound off and it doesn't charge. Was this review helpful?

I'm a gadget person and this remote control ipod charger is fantastic for the money. It works great and I recommend it to anyone with an ipod. It comes with sockets to fit any ipod model. Working perfectly. Currently using it as a base for my home stereo, so not using the sync capabilities with a computer. Simple AC to USB adapter powering it and a 3.5mm to RCA patch cable to the receiver inputs. This kit does not come with the patch cable or AC adapter, but I had them laying around anyway. Again, not much to review, but other places are trying to sell this for $30. Thanks Buy.com! Was this review helpful?
